Hey, what's up guys, it's me African hair guide and in this video I'm gon na show you how I achieved my braided afro puff ponytail style, which is a really simple style, but you are really loved it on my Instagram page. Thank you so much for the love, so I figured I'd, get on and do a quick little tutorial and show you how I achieved that style. So I am working with shampoo condition and pre moisturized hair, and I'm just gon na begin this style by parting off the first section of my cornrows. So I recently purchased this wall swivel mirror and it just makes parting the back of your head so much easier. I was able to get my parting so much cleaner, the braids so much neater and even and consistent. So I definitely do recommend that you get this. If you are someone who does your hair yourself most of the time - and I found mine at Lowe's, but some people said they found it at IKEA, so you just have to look around for it, so I am going to miss that section with water. I do prefer to braid on dampened hair and I'm going to use this nature's blessing hair pomade and apply to my hair, as I am finger detangling. This is just going to add another layer of ceiling in my oyster, that's already in my hair and also as shine and softness to my hair, I'm going to lightly detangle that with the paddle brush and after that I am going to apply the Murrays texture. Kingjoe pomade to the roots of this section here and just use a little bit of this. If you are going to use it this, basically just as a nice little hole to my braised, help them to remain neater longer, it is humidity, moisture and sweat resistant. So it just helps my braids last, for you know with my active lifestyle. So, as you can see here, I am, of course Brady is a braided ponytail style. If you cannot braid, I'm so sorry, but you can also flat twists to achieve this same. Look. I'Ve done it and it's worked just as well, so I'm just going to do this braid all the way to the back, and when you do these braids, you want to make sure that you braid it to a central focal point towards the center of your name. Where your ponytail is going to be, if you just braid it straight back, it doesn't flow into the ponytail and it doesn't look cohesive. So that's just a thought so for the ends, I'm just going to two strand twist is so much easier to take down. It'S not as rough when it comes to take out the braids and yeah. I didn't get a lot of footage of me party. Unfortunately, my camera was dying as I was making this video I do apologize. I wish I could have got more footage of that, but yeah I guess you can just enjoy the low clips. I got of me braiding and I'll be back once I'm finished braiding all right. So now that I'm finished with all of my braids, I'm just gon na apply just a little bit more of this texture cane gel pomade to my hair line here and I'm just going to smooth any flyaways and just kind of brush it into my braids. I don't do baby hairs, I don't like baby hairs. You will never see me rock baby hairs. If I can braid it into my braids, then it's getting braided after that. I'M going to apply this mousse. This BB rapping lotion and apply it all over. My braids and I'm going to tie my satin scarf on top of it and allow the scarf to dry and set the mousse into my hair, and it's just going to help tame flyaways is going to make my bracelet fresh in need and look really really nice. Alright, so, as you can see, my braids are really really smooth and neat and fly away free, and it just looks so nice. I do such a good job. I'Ve really come a long way with my braiding all right, so we're gon na take the ends of those braids and create a little ponytail. Well, I guess I'm gon na bun the ends of my brains in the back, just to help give more leverage, you're, probably wondering like where's the puff gon na come like. I don't see the pup. Well, surprise! Here'S the path, so I did realize that I had this puff flying around the shop I bought this puff like last year. I think for his style and I forgot it was there so I was like. Maybe I should use this thing again, so I am using this drawstring afro puff. I don't know what brand it was so long ago. I just got it from the local beauty. Supply store so yeah, I'm gon na attach that to the puffs, I'm not using the comb in the drawstring pub. I'M just going to use the drawstring to tighten it onto my ponytail wrap the end around and I'm going to use a few pins just to secure that drawstring ponytail to my actual hair, just to secure it onto that bun. And when you do this, you want to make sure there's no tension anywhere on your nape on your ponytail on your hair and it should feel very, very secure. As you can see, my puff was flopping all over the place. Please do not walk out the house which are afro puff flopping all over the place like that. That'S just a telltale sign that you are rocking a fake puff and we trying to you know, make it believable. Okay, so I'm taking a few pins and I'm taking the hair, pin sticking it into the net of the puff and inserting the pin into one of the braids and pushing it downward into the direction that the Braves are going, which is towards the nape. Hopefully that makes sense, but basically you just want to pin it down, make sure it's really secure and if you do it right, it should look something like this. You shouldn't feel any tension. It shouldn't pull anywhere, it shouldn't feel uncomfortable. It should feel very secure. This style should really feel like you are just rocking the style if you feel any pain anywhere. Please take it down, redo it something because you did something wrong and you shouldn't walk around like that. Okay, but this is just a great protective style that I can rock throughout the week. As I said, I am active, I can workout with this down. I can moisturize my hair, I can oil, my scalp, my hair is protected. I have my hands out of my hair throughout the week and I hope you all liked this tutorial. Thank you so much for watching and until the next video be blessed bye.

Prettypinkfro: So u chopped off all your damaged hair before me so u have way over a years worth of growth. I cut off my bleached pink hair in October of 2016. I just can’t figure out why I think my hair is longer than yours. I been growing my hair for a shorter length of time and I’ve probably trimmed a half inch off. Have you trimmed a lot more. It’s been a total of 15 months since I said goodbye to all of my hair. And the longest bits are around 7 inches. Soooo what I’m getting at is. Is your hair a different texture from mine. I think my hair is mostly 4a. Is yours way longer and it just looks shorter because of the texture. Love your videos but it’s confusing me.

Redeal suomafni: There’s my boo why tf my notifications ain’t on I watch you religiously YouTube be acting up

a c: I saw nature's blessing somewhere and thought about you. Would you recommend??

MK Budgets: Last time I was this early, Obama was still president
