Hey YouTube: it's literally also known as fresh lamps and welcome back to my channel. It'S been a long time. I feel, like I always say that cuz it always is. But last year I was traveling quite a lot. She filmed quite a lot didn't upload this year. Has been oiled, although this stuff is happening with Corona and yeah, so basically, but all in lockdown, so yeah no better time to put some content out do some videos. I went to ebony B salon again that's owned by Zarina. She basically does my braids quite a lot. I haven't been to her in a while, but she messaged me and was just like. I really want to do a star with curly hair. Basically, I've been using curly hair and a couple of the braid styles that I've done recently wanted to do something, but both of us didn't really know what the style would be. I went two weeks ago before this madness happened. I didn't really film it for YouTube. I didn't mean Instagram posted it at the time. I thought I'd put it here as well, because I usually get a lot of questions on how a star was done, what I'm doing to maintain it, the hair like what kind of products and new things that I would go through. All of that in this video. Okay, I'll just go quickly through what we used and say we. I did nothing so for all my braids. I use expressions the I don't say this word: pin it Kanekalon Kanekalon that i've never had a problem with a stylist seem to love it. My hair's a strange color as you'll, see in the footage it's really dark at the roots, but when the sun lightens it goes stuck of ready, color, it's a weird color to match to extensions, so you usually have to use a mix or I use four there's Some reason bundles were like in short supply, so I ended up buying this it's by sensational sensational, it's a nature since age now, so this is the canoe via ez v. It'S essentially to make your own wig. Let me see that it's got like a little closure. It'S like three bundles of different lengths, so it's 18, 20 and 22. I got in the shade for it looked right, but when we put it on it was the wrong color. You can't really tell now, but I'll show you in the footage so actually ended up. Buying it in another color later after my bracelet darn, this is the color that I got. This is shade to, and that's definitely better for me, and I basically put that on top. So I added more hair. We only used two bundles anyway, so it wasn't a lot of hair and I think you could get away with using the free, bundles or two and a half and get like a nice full ponytail. So I'm just going to look walkthrough of what was actually done. So I blew my hair up myself. I usually do it myself at home just to make it easier in the protest. A bit quicker says: a weiner just basically started partying and then braiding. So she started on my right side and then just working her way around. All the way around to the back there's full team braids in total, seven at the top and seven at the back and with everyone. She was obviously parting, applying a little bit of gel braiding and then braiding, basically down as much as she could. Adding very tiny amounts of extensions. We didn't use too much at all. Actually, I think she only used maybe got a third of the pack. If that I really just didn't need loads of hair to add, I've got quite a lot of hair as it is like. My hair's not very thick, there's a lot of it and then once all the braids were done, this is when we were trying to work out what to do with it. So I had it in a ponytail and then we were like all did we keep it in a bun and then put the curly hair and a bun around it yeah. We really didn't know what to do so. She braided all the single braids together. So it was all compact into one sort of ponytail it's easier to work with, and then she actually cut off that excess. So it wasn't too long and then also sealed it with hot water, just to kind of keep that all like tucked in and tight, and so it was like a nice, it's solid, like ponytail, to like work with so she's, like with the shortest bundle. I think she used the 20 and the 22 only maybe she used the 18. It'S quite long. I think she must have put the 20 at the bottom. She double layered, it spaced it out and then obviously, when she ran out of hair, she used the 22, and so when she got to the top, which is a case of wrapping, a single piece around the whole base of the ponytail, just to kind of hide. Any tracks and this hair is really nice. A lot of people been asking me like how is it been holding up? I mean it's hella silky out of the packet as you'd, probably guess really nice, but obviously once you like, wash it play with it, whatever it's not quite the same, but it's definitely held up really well. So in terms of styling, I've actually been using the braid Sheen by mane and tail I'll, be honest and keep sending me product and I've never really used it because it's got silicones in it, but this is for natural and synthetic hair. So for this hair, this is amazing, like I really love it, it's really good at detangling and giving that slip. So this is a ten out of ten. So for my hair, i've been using the evader newt replenish. This is another thing that was sent to me and this is the leaving conditioner. It'S a new range they've got it's really moisturizing. I really like it. I mean i've mentioned debate of products quite a lot on my channel because I really like evader. So I was expecting to like it and then I really liked it and then the first, the first time actually tried it is when I last had braids in in like November cuz, it's a spritz. It'S just really easy to get in. So I feel like you. Don'T have to use this, but anything that's like light and hydrating is really good to just get those braids sort of moisturize, but without overdoing it or putting too much product and then ending up with loads of buildup so for hold. I bought the ORS, the olive oil will hold and shine wrap, set mousse and I'm looking at and it's like. Oh it's good for like twist outs and curls, but usually when I go to salon. I put this on at the end to smooth it all down. In case I want to tame any flyaways or anything like you do just put on a bit and then put a scarf around it, just to kind of slick everything down and help out. If I was going out, I might put a little gel on, but honestly, I'm okay with the fluffy look and every people gon na be really polarized when it comes to whether you do your edges or not yeah, I'm just not I'm just not bothered a moment. Honestly, so I've had these in for two weeks it's been pretty solid. It'S worked out pretty well, like I said I did add some hair on top just to kind of get the color match a bit better for me, yeah, usually I don't last in braids very long, because essentially my job is a content creator or a model. So for a lot of jobs, sometimes they just want my hair to be as it is. Actually, they don't want it in braids, so I find it really tricky to navigate having braids and at the moment it's bit of a novelty. I can have these in for as long as I want, but do prefer my hair and braids. So hopefully I cannot to learn to braid and this time that I've got at home and do more styles and just enjoy doing different things with my hair, because when it's curly, I don't do anything with it yeah I think that's it in terms of product and Next time we're trying to get these in for as long as possible and enjoy them. I hope that was helpful for anyone. That'S wondering how it's done, because a lot of people were asking about the ponytails. Specifically, it's not heavy either. That was another question like I can swish my hair about and it's not like, I'm being weighed down by anything, because I think because we just didn't put too much hair in my head yeah, it's a really easy style, really low maintenance, I'm really enjoying it. So I'm really happy about that. I'M really happy! I don't have to do my hair. This is the best time to not have to do my hair, so yeah. I hope you guys found that helpful. If you have any questions, let me know always happy to answer. If you have any requests, let me know and yeah just trying to figure out this whole being at home life anyway, thanks for watching and I'll see, you guys soon, bye,
