Low Sleek Ponytail On Short Thick Dry Natural Curly Hair | Easy Method

Hey you guys it's salia and i'm back with another video. So, as you guys can see, my hair is dry, it's tangled and it has a bunch of flakes in it, but i'm going to show you how i go from this to this nice sleek low ponytail. You guys, i can't fit my hair in a high ponytail just yet, because the back is short, but i can fit it in a low ponytail now. So i wanted to show you guys the process, so i will be doing a low ponytail with a middle part. So i'm just going to keep the part how it is, and then i am just going to drench my hair underneath the running water. Now my hair was super duper tangled this time um. So i just made sure to really detangle before you know. I started washing, but i am using the my l rosemary mint, strengthening shampoo to wash my hair. This is not a like review or demo type of video, so if you want a full review on um, this line then definitely check out the link down below um. I do really enjoy the line and, as you guys can see, the shampoo has an amazing lather. So i rub that on in scrubbed it made sure my hair was nice and clean and then, when i rinsed that out, i did use the hair mask. That is from the same line. Um yep, this stuff again is you know, works really really good, but check out that review. If you want more details, but it's nice thick creamy softening, so i made sure to go in with a nice generous amount and just really work this in and detangle, because i needed it and, as you guys can see the slip is there so yeah always want To make sure your hair is washed and conditioned when styling, especially when doing a low, well any kind of puff or ponytail um, especially because we'll be using gel, and if your hair is dirty. That can cause flakes and it can just make. You know the process not easy. Now um, i did actually go in with some oil. This is my goddess: curls defined hair elixir, it's just inside of an applicator, so i could easily apply it to my scalp and my hair, but then i am going to just rinse that on out and yeah, this is my hair, nice fresh and clean, but we're Not going to stop here, you guys i'm going to use some of this. My l pomegranate and honey leave-in conditioner and put this onto my hair, because i personally like to get my hair, nice and prepped in the shower. When i do a low or high ponytail um, this just for me really helps to make the process easier, because you guys know once us curly girls, especially us with thicker, hair, um and kinkier hair. It can start to poof up and it can just become really frustrating, so you guys can see i'm just adding the leave-in conditioner. I did also dip my hair underneath the running water again, just to make sure my hair was nice and smooth and moisturized, and then i am just going to pull it on back, as you guys see drain all the excess water and then i'm going to put It into a low ponytail, i'm going to make sure i keep it nice and tight while i get dressed while lotion and all that stuff because, like i said, we don't want it to poof up so keep it in this low ponytail. I promise you this trick. Works, amazing is so i am fresh out. The shower i got dressed and my hair is still in this low ponytail it's damp, but it's not dripping. I'M gon na start by, of course, gelling down my hair. I'M gon na use eco style, olive oil gel my favorite, my go-to. I have my dual brush from evolve. I have some goodie hair ties and now i'm just gon na start slapping this gel on in um yeah eco style has been my go-to gel for like 10 years. At this point, so i don't see myself like ever really switching it out um. It just gets it done for me, so i'm just gon na apply this to the top of my hair, the back of my hair, my edges, um, you know back, you know where my neck is just everywhere and once i feel like, i have the right amount Of gel all over my hair, that's when i'll take the ponytail out and start slicking it on down is so i am now taking the ponytail out of my hair, but then i'm quickly going to make sure i just keep the hair in my hand, as i'm Brushing you guys, like i said i do not want my hair to be loose or poof up at all, because it's just going to make this so much harder than it needs to be keeping it. Nice pulled and tight is going to just keep the hair as flat as i can get it while i'm brushing it, and obviously you guys can see, i'm brushing my hair. I will have the brush linked down below, because this is a really nice brush. It was actually sent to me, but it is at walmart um. It has the perfect amount of hardness, but it's not too hard, and then i love the fact that it has the dual side. So the other side is like a comb or a brush or a detangling brush. I should say, and um you're gon na see that i'm gon na actually use that part. So, first i'm just going to slick it on down, as you guys see, with this side of the brush and then once i feel like um, you know it's brushed down. I am going to use the other side now. You will also see me continuously, adding gel all around at add as much gel as you need y'all with eco style. I can use a nice amount of the gel um, so i'm just gon na do that, but now i'm using the other side of the brush - and this is going to help really make sure i have no lumps no bumps in my hair. You guys know we have curls, so sometimes some spots might try and curl up, and this just really makes it so much easier again, y'all making sure i keep my hair and in one of my hands, so i'm gon na just do that. Make sure there are any lumps or anything and then one last time i'm going to go in with the other side and just make sure i brush it and smooth it, and once i have it all nice smooth and sleek y'all, i'm going to put it into A ponytail - and i didn't make it too tight or anything - i've never used goodie hair ties, i usually always get scunchy, but these goody ones are real good too. So i'll link them down below is now once i am done with the ponytail. Of course i got to go in and do my edges um everyone's different. You could do the edges like before you do your ponytail i've seen people do that, but it just works better for me to do it afterwards, uh. So i'm just starting with my little sideburns, you know still using the eco style and just doing my edges. How i like i don't do anything too fancy y'all. I don't do any like huge, swoops or swirls, just something real, simple, but still nice. At the same time, so i'll, let you guys see that process? How did i get here? Oh, so this is the final. Look you guys this is my low sleek ponytail. I was really excited that i could finally fit it in a little ponytail cause. Like i said when your hair is short, you have limited options, so i'm glad i have another option that i can get done. Real, quick. That will last me like a week um. So yeah low sleep ponytail for the win, i'm gon na just continue showing you the 360. um, and then i am also just going to show you how, like i can easily turn this into a cute little bun just twist.
