You sure the third one's contained yes, unless i figured out how to open doors. So i was brushing basil earlier and i thought this guy is the subject of my most popular video. Ever on my knife related channel, my cat video about basil. It kind of blew up, it did really well. So i thought people might like an update and i thought i might like another 700 000 views that would be cool as well. So hey everyone wins right. When i reviewed basil the previous time i had about four different types of commenters, the first type were people just chunky boy, big chungus, ugga, booger, all that sort of good stuff and the other. You know second group of people with the flip side of that you guys are the worst he's too fat irresponsible. All that sort of stuff we've never tried to fat and basil up. We'Ve only ever fed him one meal a day back then we're feeding him. Some grain free meat based dry food, and you know if we have some meat, we'll cut some raw off and give it to them as well. Um we changed from that grain free to some vet recommended food, yes, recommended by a physical vet in person, not by a youtube commenter. So the vet switched us to some science, diet, food and some cuts of raw meat or chicken every now and then and yeah. He has lost two kilograms since that so hopefully the first two types of commenters will, you know, be at peace with this now: seven kilograms for basil at his size, and he is a large example of his bread is totally fine. It is fine. I can see it on many many different charts and dr google's and yes, even according to his in-person vet basil is fine. His weight is good. The third group of people couldn't believe that we bought a bread cat instead of rescuing a cat. I guess it's like anything: um, we have rescued cats in the past, we've had our share of moggies and whatnot, and i know there is an abundance of you know: unloved cats out there, but we're good cat owners. We'Ve never contributed to that problem. Our cats have always been well cared for and housed inside there isn't um. You know we are, i guess. Cat neutral in this house, basil and lemon are both spayed and neutered. We shopped for breed because we heard that these two breeds were excellent family pets and we were right. These two animals are excellent family pets and the fourth group of people couldn't believe that i'd use the term review for a cat and that i'd had him shipped to our house, and all i could do. There is point them towards the the dictionary definitions of the words review is a summary of our time spent with him and the positives and negatives of that and shipped as getting something transported from one place to another and yeah. We got him shipped by a pet courier service that moves animals from one place to another, humanely with accreditation and things so yeah, without giving the crazies too much more time or just the really intense people too much more time in the spotlight um. That should about wrap up, i think any critiques, i hope perhaps even preemptively, on this video but on to basil. So, as i said, basil's a seven kilogram, large chested british short hair cat, he cost us a thousand dollars and that's a lot to spend on a cat for sure, but to continue the. I guess numerical based, you know mindset, that's a lot of value. People will buy a pair of shoes that make them happy for a night for 200. We'Ve got a cat that we've invested in. That is providing us daily love and enjoyment, and we are providing him with love and food and it's a very beneficial arrangement. And if it's a thousand dollars to enter that arrangement, then cool, i'm totally fine with it. Basil'S had his shots, he is inside only we are inside only cat people, or at least if they are outside. We are in control of them, we're pretty happy for them to just play with each other inside chase around the string on the stick and all that sort of stuff for their exercise. They seem to tear around they both get the zoomies every morning and night running up and down basil will go outside his sister lemon's, not interested in going outside at all. She likes looking out the window, but she doesn't really want to go outside basil. Basically pushes past us to get outside, he loves spending time with the dogs or around the dogs. He has no fear of anything, which is why we don't let him go outside without us, because he'll probably demonstrate the same lack of fear towards an oncoming car or anything that would do him harm. So we always have control of our cats, whether they're inside or outside and basilars are largely inside cat. He gets on well with cedric and aydah our retriever and husky, and they all sort of have that animal indifference to each other that as much as you'd love for them all to cuddle up with each other. They sort of just ignore each other, maybe smell each other from time to time poke around with each other, but that's about it. Him and lemon are the same, i'm not sure if they like each other or hate each other, i'm not sure if one of them just vanished from the earth, the other one would even particularly care or notice. Basil gets very fussy when we pat lemon. He gets very jealous and he starts coming up to us and meowing and crying for attention as well he's very dog-like in his behavior, and he does seem to have something of for lack of a better word and ego like a dog does so that sense of Wanting more for himself, which is funny whereas lemon just has that feline indifference where she's, not too bothered about us at all basil, is very malleable. Very pliable he's happy to sit with you on your lap he's happy to be dragged around by the kids. He almost chooses to be because he approaches them and puts himself in situations where it's going to happen with regard to health problems. He'S only really ever had one issue, which is, he gets a slightly goozy eye every now and then then it's just one of the eye, sprays and rubbing it every now and then to get any extra goop out of it. It'S just breed problems. You know it's having a bit of a flatter face than usual causes things to get bound up every now, and then it's just a part of it. He molts and sheds a whole bunch. Our house has tumbleweeds in it when we don't vacuum every now and then so i would highly recommend you get one of these guys. This is a robot vacuum. It does a great job of just keeping that low level fluff to almost non-existent run it every couple of days put it on a cycle run it every day, recharges itself in its stock picks up all the fur. You still have to do a vacuum because it gets into the corners the stuff gets everywhere, but having cats inside does require a little bit of extra investment in things. Olson would need to invest if you're thinking of having inside cats in a good cat litter tray. Something closed keeps the smells in and you're going to be, changing it fairly often as well. Our cats don't poop that much because they eat quality food. You find that if cats eat bad quality, food, they're pooping all the time, because it's less of it that actually gets used by their body. We had basil on a raw meat, only diet for a while, and he was pooping once every two days at the most. He was literally using all of that food, but he didn't like it. He doesn't like raw meat. He just he simply stops eating it and starts meowing at you to give him the dry food. So fortunately that coincided well with the vet. Saying hey give him some dry food too, so we did but yeah definitely invest in a covered cat litter tray. We put ours in the laundry because most laundries have like a screen door that you can lock and then you can put the litter tray up against it. So it kind of lets the smell stay out of your house as much as we you know know it can, because hey once you've been in your house for a certain amount of time, you don't really know how it smells. But i've been assured by my most earnest friends that the house doesn't smell like that: horrible cat smell so just burn an incense candle or an oil diffuser, or something, if you're too, worried about it, but generally having it next to an open outside door and changing It often does the trick overall basil has been awesome. Lemon'S awesome. His sister is great too, but basil just has that extra level of wanting to interact with us sort of makes him not going to say the house favorite, but he's definitely the guy in the spotlight. All the time he does lots of funny stuff, he sits upright in weird ways he rolls around. He comes and sits on you in really awkward ways. Um he does stuff that is endearing and where people and stuff is endearing to us all right everyone, that's about all. I can think to tell you about basil um, a couple of things. The brushes you see me used are a furminator and just a shedding comb. I think shedding combs a generic term, the breeder that we got basil from was in tasmania, but is no longer doing it. It was just a lady who did like one litter every couple of years and it was super irregular, so it was nothing i can send you or know what you particularly want. You know heaps of people asking you when her next cat is because i think she's done so there's that um apart from that, that's about all thanks for watching. I know most of you probably are here for either knives or knife related content, but there's a lot of interest in the cat and, if you're here just for the cat video, then thanks for stopping by see you later. Oh you

Caesar the British Shorthair Cat: If you like British shorthair cats and think of getting one I want to give you some advice: 1. We have a lot of energy until we are 3 years old. That is when we reach maturity 2. We like to follow you around everywhere: in the bathroom, all around the house, we stay with you in the kitchen while you cook(and not because we want your food, but because we like being near you all the time) 3. We are very curious cats. If you want to fix something around your house we will stay there right beside you until you finish 4. We live around 18 years or maybe even 20. So be prepared to get old with us 5. We like to fetch just like dogs. Just throw me a ball and I will run to get it in my mouth and return it back to you 6. We are pretty low maintenance cats, we are happy with what we have: just a clean litter box, food and fresh and clean water 7. We communicate with you a lot. We like to talk to you and give and receive attention

Dannzt: We had a shorthair when i was born up until i was about 9 years old. That damn cat took better care of me than my parents did. Man i miss him

Joe A: I can’t believe you got so much negativity. Those people need to go away! I love when basil makes it in the videos! He is hilarious

yin shah: Your previous video review of basil was the reason we felt comfortable buying a British Short hair in November. I’m so glad we did. We totally agreed that the money we spent on our Henry is repaid every day in smiles and laughter. Much more than anything else we can buy otherwise. I just want to thank you for your videos. Love the knife reviews as well.

Francine Hibiscus: I can't have a cat right now, but I am just obsessed with British shorthair! I'm glad to hear you are so happy with Basil! Your animals are beautiful and obviously well cared for.

Pink Freud: Your animals are obviously VERY happy and well-adjusted, don't take any of that criticism seriously, you are wonderful caregivers!

Mr Darren: What a beautiful cat. So calm and laid back as well. Seems like the ideal family pet. They seem to have a definite affinity with children. Really nice breed.

Lord Louis XIII: We British shorthairs are royalty, humans should feel privileged to be our royal subjects.

Angela Holkham: Love these cats. We have 2 Male British shorthairs here in the UK. They both have great personalities. Both are indoor cats and live very happy lives. My last British shorthair lived until he was over 19 years old. In fact, data shows here, indoor cats live nearly twice as long than a outside domestic cat ( due to road deaths and disease). The vet recommends to keep British shorthairs indoors. I also had the outside domestic cats ( 15) over the years ( I lived on a farm), they are great, but the British shorthairs have completely different personalities, they are more dog like and have funny attributes. Ignore the haters, it is your business what pet you buy or have. They haven't got anything better to do than criticise what other people do. The important thing is Basil and lemon make you and you make them happy! ❤

Gareth: Wow, he's beautiful. I always wanted one of these but ended up getting a British Shorthair Tabby at 10 weeks old. She is now nearly 20!

darrendesilvavideo: I can’t believe I just watched a cat review.

H. M.: British Shorthair cats are so lovely, the best family cats! I've grown up with 3 of them and I am so happy that my family chose this breed :)

Third Ghost: I love this breed's substantial bodies and beautiful faces! I think they're totally adorable.

Grey Holm: $1000.00 for Basil is a bargain. Top cat right there.

Reem Hassan: I just bought a British short hair a week ago with a similar price. We named him Apollo ♥️. I feel he's the center of everything in our life. First thing I see in the morning and before going to bed. I love him .

Frayste: He’s still a C H O N K in our hearts so cute

GerbilKor: Insidious! You're getting the knife people into cats, and the cat people into knives. A perfect storm of people you don't want to get stuck in a conversation with. I should know, I am one of them!

Michael L: Ignore the haters! Love this. Got into this channel for the knife vids, but I'm a fellow cat lover so I decided to check this out. I didn't know anything about BSH cats, so this was very informative. Thanks for the great cat footage!

Mona Fan: Great review and update! I also contemplated getting a rescue but ended up getting British Blue and have not regretted the decision. I've never known any cat to get along with kids so well.

Christopher Caruso: A British Shorthair kitten here in the USA cost around $1750. So $1,000 is a great price. You’re cat looks very healthy and BSH’s are always on the bigger side.

Eliana Rey: When it came to buying a pure breed I was in the same situation with my fiance, he wanted a hypoallergenic breed and bought a Siamese. We love him so much and we had no luck looking for ones in shelters. We don't regret our decision.

Dionysus: I fucking love the “we reviewed our cat” vibe. I love the idea of “here’s the thing I love... I will rate it top cat of cats”

Fellow Gamer: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post more and more videos of Basil and Lemon!!! I am absolutely enamored by them, such beautiful kitties!!! You are doing a wonderful job being their human, keep it up!!!!!!

Rebecca Bell: Jez, can't believe you felt you had to justify yourself, well I think he's absolutely gorgeous! Clearly a very well looked after cat.

eeyore345: Wow .. I didn't know shorthairs can shed that much fur! I have wanted a blue British shorthair since I was small! Thank you for sharing these videos!

Talk Calcio TV: Basil is so adorable looks just like British shorthair I once had so cute and funny too!

Salina Mecham: You did a great job of addressing things, and I appreciated your explanations. Your reviews have been very helpful, keep up the good work! Ignore the haters.

Crystal Hainstock: I wanted a British Shorthair and was searching for videos of their cuteness when I found your 1st review. Thanks so much for posting it! Definitely going to get one when I get a larger apartment, thanks to your insight! I’m allergic to cats, but I think I’ll be fine if the litter box is in its own room. I do have a special request, Could you make a cute compilation video of Basil, if you have any footage you haven’t included on these two reviews? I can’t have pets in my current apartment and need more British Shorthair cuteness fixes. I’ve watched the 1st review at least a hundred times. THANK YOU!

Tina Singleton: Thanks For sharing we have British Blue twins Finnley & Isha I know he's going to get upto 7kg but I've been wanting to know what that realistically looks like. I found Basil at 3yrs a few weeks ago and hoped you would do an updated version to the other bad comments you've had they really need to research this stunning mischievous bread and then they will see how big they can get

Kermit: He looks so soft! Any domestic cat is its own world's best cat!

Mr Darren: The way he lays all crooked against the wall is just brilliant. And how he casually slides backwards... as if he actually intended it : ) that cat has real character. My daughter would love him. I bet he's great with kids. I guess most people are attracted to getting one because of their appearance but IMO their nature's are even more of a reason to have one, especially if you have a family.

Kelvin Crossan: Omg, your British shorthair seems exactly the same as mine. I have 2 we feed them raw food in the morning and canned food at night. They are perfect family cats like you said and absolutely everything you said is exactly the same for us

S Ng: I came for the knife reviews but stayed for Basil. We have an indoor cat as well and also $1000. However the reason was a bit different. My Missus wanted a cat and she just so happens to be allergic to cats and hence after much research it came down to a Russian Blue or Siberian Forest cat. So we have Chester the the Siberian. A sheer joy to us though sometimes a bit naughty.

loungekiller: Honestly, your "cat reviews" are so awesome dude. Some of the best content on YouTube. Thank you.

Rosh K: We need more basil videos! he’s adorable

Ju R: I loved your first review and it was the last bit I needed to know before getting mine. I am very very happy with my BSH Boris and Dolores

Gnomersy: I refuse to be limited in my appreciation of Basil's chonkitude!

Springdaisy: I remember watching your video before I had my (bread) cat. I wanted a British Shorthair after watching your vid. However due to my impatience I ended up buying a short Persian and I have no regrets. Your video was great and it's obvious you guys are good pet owners.

Tavis S: He's beautiful! Thanks for sharing him with us

GenWivern2: He's splendid. We have a female in her teens now, and the usual initial reaction is "crikey, that's a whopper" - but that's the nature of the beast. She's by far the most complicated feline personality I've ever come across, and very rewarding. The fluff, though ... that's a potential downside!

anthony perkins: British Shorthairs are the teddy bears of the cat world, chilled out, happy, friendly and so laid back. Rarely upset or angered unless it's a dog or pet they don't like or a person, they make nice companions and are easy to get along with, asking for no more than your attention, a friendly pet, food and love.

Victoria Bateman: Great video. Loved all the burns. from a fellow Aussie.

Ben Dover: He is absolutly perfect and I would love one just like him!

Awesome Sheens: British Shorthairs are the best! My boy had the most beautiful nature that I have seen in a cat. I think he was the runt of the litter, he only got to 6kg during his peak. Unfortunately he passed away at the age of 15yo.

MiscMe: To have a respected and loved family member that is a good friend for all and brings love in the hearts of everyone in and outside of the family - I would not care if the cat cost $1 or $10000 dollars. Someone who shares your life as your good friend, generating happiness and love in your heart, is not something to put a price on, IMHO.

Ruby Cubez: Forget what those haters say ... That kitty is deliciously plump and I'm here for it. So beautiful...

Digger 87: Dear Parents - Getting a cat for the family when I was 10 was the best thing my mother gave me (other than upbringing and all the moral stuff you’re meant to say that genuinely applies). Lived for over 12 years. They’re generally robust and adaptable. They can favour a particular family member (which made me a bit jealous - it not being me) but they are savvy/resourceful enough to share around the enough of the spoils for all. He used to run to greet me and anyone else in the home as we approached for instance. Please get your kids a cat or dog if they want one. Owning one didn’t take much expertise. We dealt with fleas, castration etc with advice from our neighbour. Pre internet times. Your kids will appreciate it more than you can ever realise. If this persuades you let me know. It may inspire me to get myself the Doberman I now want.

Karen Sekeres: We just got a BSH kitten their temperaments are great. She totally stands her own with our rambunctious burmese. She has so much spunk we all love her

rhino ranch: I think it is great that you provide more than knife videos and have enough confidence to offer humor, and share what is important to you and your family. Basil will make you famous !

Beyond Beauty69: Dont explain yourself He is obviously loved! I have 2 chunky boys they are a big breed. he is so well looked after, thanks for sharing. much love to them

Alyssa Fysh: What a beautiful well looked after cat!

James Munn: How was the factory edge? It looks like a folder. Locking? The smoothness of the action? Lock rock? Engagement? Comparison to TRM Atom? Ease of sharpening? Self Sharpening? How well did it work with the KME? Difficult to clamp and maintain an angle? Mirror polish? Angles? Sisal rope tests?

Martina Babjakova: Your cats are beautiful, can’t believe they get fed once a day. Our little boy has (different types of) food + treats available 24/7, and although he is not very active he is very skinny , perhaps it’s because our cat is different breed. Also I read somewhere that British Shorthair cats don’t shed much, but that was obviously not true. Never the less he and his sister are both gorgeous.

Slick Slicers: I got my first cat for my 7th birthday in August 1973, and I’ve pretty much always had at least one ever since. I like to have two so they can play together, but one of my wee boys, Dougall and Hamish, was run over a couple of years ago, so Dougall has to make do with my dogs Brodie & Arnie for company.

gaberoo: Gorgeous kitties. Enjoy them to the max!!!

Deborah Janet: I love your munchy babies and I'm hoping to get a British short hair. Stay Safe lovely family, from Canada!

H Harrison-Parker: Agree with you 100%! We spent that on our rag dolls, worth every penny.

j3di3: I also have 2 british cats. They are great. Previously I've had cats I adopted but their personality was always hit and miss. Some would bite and be aggressive. When I wanted to get another get I decided I want a british cat both due to looks and personality. Their personality is great, very calm and they never bite. In 4 years we have them they never even once bit us. Even when you annoy them they never dare to bite you.

Kat Uren: Your last video convinced me to get a british shorthair :) Love to see an update on Basil !!

PJ Daugherty: Does anyone else kind of yearn to hear his reviews of family members? He's got this odd talent of quantifying what makes beings lovable that I think could be amazing if he expanded his purview of review to humans.

Dahni Beddo: I worked for Australian Pet Brands in Dubbo and honestly all the dry pet food in Aussie is the same and comes off the same line. Even the expensive stuff. Also im British and I've never seen a cat like this in the wild back home!

Louise Galczynski: BSHs are such lovely cats. They are naturally cobby and are a larger cat. He looks wonderfully healthy.

DMG: I am not a "Cat person" but he looks like Garfield in diguise. And he looks very "fluffy" must be a heavenly feeling to have in your lap when looking at tv in the evening. I thank you for beeing responsible cat owners by having them as proper indoor cats.

Kayoed Owner: We have two BSH’s Audrey & Rupert they are the 4th and 5th BSH’s that have been part of our family. They have real personalities and make excellent pets. We feed them the same and yet the Boys always grow massive and the girls (we’ve had 2) are noticeably simmer. Your two are adorable!

Williams Knife Life: I like the grey scales. Handle a bit thick, no pocket clip, but nice lanyard tail. Definitely a Gem.

Inspirit Linspirit: Thanks so much for your video! How did you do the research to know which breeder is good?

QueenKatz8: Awwwww! What beautiful big kitties Basil and Lemon are! Absolutely gorgeous! However, I don't think Basil likes being brushed so vigorously at the beginning of the vid; my cat loves being brushed, but would definitely 'go the claw' if I brushed her so hard. You obviously love your kitties though; and take the best of care of them; you 'tick all the boxes'; they're obviously part of your family. They're lucky (as, undoubtedly, are your dogs) to have such devoted and responsible human companions.

Nico: Basil is actually super chonky and crispy! His tail is just purrrfect!! How long did it take to reach full development?

Cathryn Rebak: Hey, thanks for the video! I have a mostly indoor BSH too - where did you get the netting for the back door? I need something like that

Derpy Duck: Loved the update, I have a quick question . So we have a 14 month old BSH now (Tofu) and he pretty much mirrors your experiences too he is amazing, My question is regarding their pooping and sometimes their fur around the butt being a little matted, is their a surefire method to help this or do we just clip it off if it builds up? (FYI - I literally clean him with cat wipes every time so it's not that he is neglected or it's a build up for example)

disa2312: just ignore the haters, your cats look great, and expensive cats also need love and a good home

Shemy Patteth: Thanks for the review. Very useful to hear the particulars before buying.

Kelz Belz: I absolutely love British shorthair cats I have one called Blossom and her pedigree name is Lady Marmalade.. it’s no one else’s business what you do and how you do it, you certainly love your pets so keep on making these great videos , the nay sayers are just well jel

Pam Collins: Beautiful cata. I have a British shorthair also 7kg. Love him to bits. Alfie is 13

Humphrey Reader: Overweight? Surely that's the British Blue's natural shape. I occasionally pass the time with a female British Blue en route to church, and she is a very similar shape (and very friendly!). Gorgeous creatures!

James Baker: dude, your cats seem happy, you seem happy and that's what matters. Rock on.

Papagai_: I am looking to get a cat and this breed in particular and this video is honestly great, dont losten to the haters, Basil looks like he is living his best life

uDunDunnit: Forget the haters. Basil is amazing. I'd love to own a grey colored British Short Hair and am strongly considering one to keep me company in my lonely apartment. Thanks for sharing.

Fluffybullets2: There’s no problem with buying a bred cat. As long as it’s done in a responsible manner. What matter is that the cat is happy and healthy which Basil is!

newuk26: Thanks for your review mate. I'm probably about 50 miles from where Basil's ancestors is from in the middle of England Loved your vid as I;m getting a Brit shorthair myself at the end of the week. Hope my new little mate is as happy as your Basil and a happy good lad

tom m: i know a cat just like this. a family member saved it from the wild and they figured out their lung is in their other lung and can’t breath good. one of the cutest cats i’ve ever seen though

Josh McCarthy: Awwww he’s so cute I also have 2 British shorthairs called Coffee and Latte :)

ciki liki: I tried 3 times to adopt a stray cat but sadly they always ended up being aggressive toward my pomeranian dogs. Pomeranians are pretty fragile and mine really don't like to play rough. In the end i needed to find new homes for these stray cats. I had given up on the idea of having a cat but after a few years i changed my mind and wanted to try again, but this time i'd do my research on pure breeds. After reading all the info i could find I decided to get myself a British shorthair female. I'm sooooo satisfied. The dogs and the cat get along great. They never fight, they are indifferent towards each-other which is perfect. They don't sleep together but they do sleep close to each other sometimes. I also like that neither of them need to be the dominant ones in the household, while the strays always wanted to be the boss of everything. I am aware that not all strays are like this, but i guess i didn't have good luck with these ones.

gavin spring: Basil looks great! We just lost our BS a couple of days ago... Horri was 16yrs 7 mths and 13 days old when he passed. He was the best damn cat we have ever had. It's funny, but they are dog like. He did endear himself to our friends. Everyone loved him. Our friends have brought around bunches of flowers, chocolates, dinners and cards for us over the last few days. He was a much loved family member. He loved our kids and grew up from a kitten as our sons best friend. He's grown up and married now, our son that is. Horri can never be replaced. But if we were to ever get another cat even with all the fur and shedding issues it would definitely be another BS. Highly recommend the British Shorthairs. My wife and I miss him so much...

Coonalisa: Would love a 'review' of the Exotic Shorthair one... she's a beauty...

MDC: The world's best cat could be a rescue moggy tbh, It all depends on the time and dedication an owner is looking to commit. I have a Siberian and a Ragdoll, both are fully human toilet trained, love belly rubs and have never once been aggressive or shy'd away from human affection, though I've spent every waking hour when they were kittens in order to make them that way.

nomames503: that brush that you´re using for your cat is soo cool!! mine doesn´t take that much hair from my British cats so even after brushing they still have lots of hair

M K V: Love your cats. I keep 3 Miane Coon Cats and a cat from the shelter. I feel so sad for the cats that don't have homes. If everybody who keeps purebred cats also kept even one shelter cat that would help a whole lot of unwanted animals.

Alcman Tyrtaeus: My mother refers to a cat we had for almost a decade and a half as the best $80 she ever spent. That was decades ago and she came vaccinated.

Mi Mee: I’m glad you made a review because it helped me decide if this cat would be right for me. I finally have my blue boy and I am so please.

Ragnar: One of our neighbours has one of these he's so friendly, whenever I see him now he'll run over and then roll over for tummy rubs.

RockLeeSmile: Just stumbled on this video at random. Sorry about the mean people in the comments. Your animal friends all seem lovely. Thanks for your perspective!

Tricia Miller: Basil is awesome. Can I share a grooming tip from my friend who is literally a British shorthair expert? She’s won many first places prizes at the TICA shows. She said BS cats need a silicone Hair brush. I believe she said other brushes are bad for their undercoat. She recommended the Kong Zoom Groom cat brush. I’m sure there are other brands that make them too. Check it out if you’re interested. Their cheep.

Itsel Alvarado: I’m about to get a British short hair. I’m excited! I know I have the option of adopting a cat but I want a British short hair and I can only getting them from breeders. So you do you. I think you’re a great owner and thank you for your videos ❤️

Truthseeker: I got a british shorthair after watching your video. He is now 1 year and 2 months old.

Ju R: We got 2 BSH they are 6 and 8 months I was a bit worried about their shredding, as thinking maybe I was not feeding them the right food (grainfree knibbles and pates). But as I see your video seems quite normal.

countrysamurai: I love him and his name. So cute.... That fur...OMG! What a furry critter.

Kevin Torres: If I were to get a cat, this breed would be the one. Thanks for the review.

njoom: We currently have one outdoor cat, but we'd love to also have an indoor cat. If we buy a british shorthair, won't they also want to leave the house when noticing the other cat does?

Z. Hussain: Best video of any kind on YouTube... Superb commentary... This vid has made me want to get a cat
