Okay, so the first thing that you want to definitely do is start up with a heat protectant. I like to use this 21 essentials because it's like a bunch of other things, including like detangler, and it makes your hair shiny and it does all these really cool things. But I use this in damp hair and then so I have a little heat protectant, which is important something I see. People do a lot. That'S a don't is to take a big chunk of hair and then just run the Flatiron over it a bunch of times, because the problem with that is is you're kind of you're frying, the outside edges of the hair and the inside edges aren't getting anything so By the time you go over it enough at the inside gets heat you're pretty much frying. The outer edges, so they're unhappy with you buy them. So if you section it off, then you get smaller pieces and you can do you, you get smaller pieces and then you only have to run through it one time and go as slow as you need to go. So you don't have to run through the hair. Multiple times and I like to curve mine at the bottom, that's not really a do or a don't. I just think it makes it look natural and false some softer, rather than looking like really super straight, but that's a look to that. You go for it. It just kind of depends on what you want, so the next do - and you probably already have seen me be doing this - is to run a brush through it before you run the iron through it. The reason I do that is because it makes all the follicles point the same direction. It gets all the hair going the same direction, so you don't crunch the hair, and so you don't have to go over at multiple times. Another. Don'T that I see people do a lot, is putting hairspray on it or anything wet on it right before you run the iron down through it. I know it's tempting because it does make it really go down straight, and maybe if, if you need that, look for a special occasion do it, but it really does fry the hair. It'S like sizzling, your hair and it's so bad for it. So really avoid doing that on a regular basis. Another don't is, if you hear again, if you can help it, don't flow dry and flat on your hair. I know a lot of girls have really crazy, curls and there's they're really trying to tame them. For a certain look in that case, if you have to blow-dry and flatiron, then you can do that. But if it's just kind of at a habit make sure that you know that you need to do that, because if you just sleep on your hair wet and then flatter it in the morning, for me that's way better. Because then I didn't get the double heat. But for some people it would still be kinky and ones that way. Another tip that I always tell people is be sure that you know you need the amount of heat you're using so a lot of times with everything Beauty I feel like we get in habits and we just do it because that's how we do it. So, if you're, using a ton of heat, but your hair, curls or flattens, really easy you're just of basically frying your hair for no reason so be sure to test every once in a while to make sure that you don't meet. You need the amount of keeping the way I test would just be lower it and then see if you still get it that same flat, silky. Look that you're going for. So I hope you guys like this video, and I hope this helps you flat iron safely.

Hannah Grace Hopkins: My aunt used to be a hairstylist and she taught people how to do hair she says heat protectant isn't really necesary if ur not gonna use heat on your hair everyday! She says if you are gonna be using heat like a curling iron etc, that you need to use heat protectant! Hope that helps! ☺️

Bayan Saidam: That moment when people with straight hair straighten their hair

Rose Sandoval: "Only run the straightener one time" *straightens section* *does it again*

Crystial St: Another thing is DONT flat iron damp hair... Like Holy Sh** her hair is damp the whole time and you can see it. That fries your hair and causes breakage, best to wash hair and braid it or put into a pony tail low on the head and add elastic bands along the length, and flat iron the following day /morning.. If possible

Hannah Grace Hopkins: My grandma gave my mom and i a GHD flat iron it has worked wonders!! :)

Jessica Thompson: Didn't she say to NOT flat iron in large sections?

Tolindra Collins: Don't tip: Don't weigh your hair down like she just did. For thin, Caucasian hair use the lightest amout. Or just deep condition before so you won't have to use heat protectant at all.

platonically: my aunt got mad at me and she poured her madness in my hair and after the ironing my hair got super damaged but i grew it back but the damage is still in half of my hair like its in the middle section :'/

The Slayologist: Thanks for sharing! There are so many do's & don'ts for flat ironing

Lucia Patterson: She clearly doesn’t have frizzy/curly hair bc if I brush mine after straightening it it goes back to being bushy

ναl: No offence but the end result for her hair looks like how my hair looks after i dont wash it in a week... Usually when I straighten my hair, its really soft and smooth but it seems that she uses a really high heat so the hair sticks together, I keep mine at a low heat.

stan daddy Reigen: I always get lazy straightening my hair and I do to big of sections to straighten at a time

Russel Jacobs: Hair follicles are in the root! You can`t change their direction by combing your oily hair!!!

jong: i realized i do almost all of the donts. woops

Veronoka Sanchez: I appreciate the effort to do this but she doesn't have curly hair so wtf how is this relatable to every hair type

Chelsea: Lol what. I flat iron my hair at 350, and I do it with two passes, I have very very thick hair, it usually takes me 35 minutes just to get it done, blow drying is so much longer

Karimee Tello: How does one deal with the hairs that stand up on top of your head when you’re done flat ironing your hair?

Burrito Sabanero: What flat iron is she using?

lucy serrano: That moment when she looks like the young version of the manager that got fired at the place I work at lmao

Leo1: Heat protectant sprays burn of right when heard added

Edith Macias: what kind of hair straightner are you using? i bought 2 straightners and they always seem to stop working after 1 year. They just don't straighten fast enough. I used the Jose Eber and the other one i cant remember i just threw it away.

Kylie R: But my heat protectant is wet?

sid: You remind me of Vicky from vampire diaries

Sara: Is it OK to flat iron when your hair is wet?

Desiree Paahana: What is the beeping?

Tine Tine: Your pretty

Jasmine Edwards: What if Read more
