Hi guys to see how I cut my own hair at home, keep watching so I've decided to cut my hair not too much right. Now I'm just going to maybe cut about that much off, and I decided to do this just today, because I'm letting my natural gray hair grow out and it is very hard to keep the gray color in your hair. So I did another video on how I started making this transition, and it's been three weeks since I first bleached and toned my hair gray, but I just had highlights put in, I feel like it's gon na, be so much easier to maintain. While my natural gray is growing out, if my hair is a little bit shorter and as my hair grows I'll probably end up trimming it just so that it'll meet up quicker and all of my natural gray will grow out. So I always cut my hair when it is dry and straightened and I need to use the mirrors, so I will try to stay in the camera as much as possible. So, first I'm going to start off with cutting this much and see how I feel - and I just call it nice and straight - and these haircutting scissors - I got from Amazon. They are amazing, then I'm going to align up the other side and I comb it all over to one side, and I angle it this way, because what I'm cutting off right here is the center of the back. So if I didn't cut that off, there would be a point, a drastic point and some people like that point in the back of their hair. But I like it a little more even and rounded, then I comb it over to the other side. Again, all my hair do the same thing: comb it really tight. Oh, I feel so much better already and I'm gon na. Do it one more time just to make sure there aren't any little stragglers. So that's all I'm going to cut for now because, as my gray roots start growing out, I'm going to be trimming up the bottom and I don't want to go too short. Oh, I just hit myself in the face with the comb, and I've got a nice red mark now. So, to get my hair ready for another round of bleach, I bought this giant tub of olaplex number two, and this is normally super expensive and only licensed hairdressers can buy this. But of course I found it on Amazon and I looked at all the reviews and I was totally convinced that this was an authentic product and it's definitely authentic. It worked great the first couple of times that I used it on my hair, so I'm going to do the olaplex again tonight before my bleaching and because I have a lot of hair product in right now. I need to do a quick wash like super quick. Just to get the hair products out, then I will soak my hair with olaplex for a half an hour then wash it out with shampoo. Then I'm going to do my oil mixture that I made. This is about that much black, jamaican, castor oil, about that much extra virgin olive oil and about that much of coconut oil and I'm going to saturate my hair with this, and I'm also going to add in some regular conditioner. You can use any conditioner that you like this is Herbal Essences color me happy and it smells delicious, so I'm just gon na soak, my hair with that. Also, then, I bought all of these little plastic disposable, shower caps from Amazon and I'm going to wrap my whole entire head with this mixture and the conditioner I'm going to sleep in it and then tomorrow I'll rinse it out, and then that will give my hair Time to just relax and heal before I do the next bleaching, I'm just gon na, let it rest and put coconut oil through my hair and just let it sit and get ready for the bleach. So I will also film Kelly coming over to re bleach. My hair and then I'm going to tone it and I will do another video for that, so keep an eye out. Thank you so much for watching you guys bye,

Michelle Payano: Wow Lisa thank you so much for keeping us up with your hair journey right now you will never truly know how appreciated it is. I have been considering going grey for a few years and have not wanted to because I'm still in my 30s and because my mom and daughters don't want me to, but you really make it look so beautiful and easy. I'm excited now to give it a go for my birthday I'm officially 40 in January!!!

Peace Out: The cutting tutorial was great and worked perfect for me. I've never done that and was brave, but knew I could get it fixed at a salon if needed. Didn't need to, it turned out great! Thank you!

Lynda Makara: Just an FYI, you're supposed to use Olaplex #1 during bleaching and Olaplex #2 right after bleaching. Then use #3 for maintenance once a week.

M.B. Ortega: Thank you! I just cut it the way you demonstrated. It was really easy to do and it came out looking good. I would also be interested in seeing how to cut long layers if you ever decide to make another hair cutting tutorial.

angela ducci: Hi Lisa. Just started watching your channel. Slowing trying to transition in to gray hair. Right now my hair color is looking like yours. At this point I am liking it. Taryn Wood Cave: Love that you cut your own hair Lisa...is there anything you can not do?! I just trimmed my hair myself last week too....turned out fine and saved a lot of $ xxx

Kathi H: HI Lisa, you made this look so easy and you did a great job! I'm not sure I could do this because my hair is a little past the shoulders. I may try it anyway to save the high price of an inch off each month. Thanks so much!

Adriana Contreras: Hi Lisa! I think your hair looks better now that it was trimmed! We get so attached to our long hair and don't want to go short. I've just recently cut off about 6 inches off and I think I look younger! lol One question,..... When you put the oil and conditioner on your hair and sleep with it on, do you shampoo your hair in the morning and then put conditioner again? Or do you just rinse it off with water? Thank you!

Nina: looks beautiful!

Peg B: I went to Paul Mitchell hair school to get a straight across cut. Got home and realized one side is longer than the other. Ugh! With the pandemic lockdown I'm thinking about cutting it myself.
