In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of http://www.iamalpham.com http://www.aaronmarino.com and http://www.peteandpedro.com,

has a special guest. Joe from the YouTube Chanel Blumaan shows you how to style a men's undercut. This video will show you tricks to getting great volume and hold for men's medium length hairstyle. The undercut is a cool style that is very popular right now.

Aaron Marino of alpha m. has a special bueno hair treat for you. He reached out to Joe at BluMaan because he wanted to find the trick to a great undercut hairstyle. You'll get the styling tips with this hair fantasticness! Joe's Five Styling Tips

1. Pre-styler - the pre-styler determines the final result of your hair style. For example, hair cream for silky smooth, mousse for dry and volume, and wax for volume without as much dryness. Joe demonstrates with mousse.

2. Blow drying - decide which way you want to blow dry and stick with it. Opposite direction is maximum volume, the way your hair grows is smoother and natural looking, and both left and right is natural volume but ending the natural direction it grows. Joe blow dry left and right. Dry until no moisture remains.

3. Finishing product - matte, shine, natural, and more are options which achieve a different looks. Joe uses P&P Paste.

4. Application process - Joe demonstrates and emphasizes roots to tips so that the product covers your entire head of hair. If it's just on the top, you don't give hold to your roots.

5.Transitioning to new hair style - when you hit that awkward stage, Joe demonstrates how to trim and touch-up.

Gentlemen, I've got a special boy, no hair treat for you today. I reached out to my boy Joe over at the YouTube channel bloom on. He is the owner of amazing genetics and an even more killer, hairstyle guys. I wanted to find out what the trick was to creating a great undercut hairstyle, so today, you're getting five undercut styling tips, including the big one, how to maintain massive volume and not have it fall flat. Gentlemen, without any further ado, I give you hair fantasticness. It was up guys. My name is Joe and first I'd like to say thank you to mr. Aaron Marino for helping to make this happen. For those of you who don't know, I run a men's style channel over at blue mom, which you can check in the description, and I focus mainly on hair style videos. So because of that, Aaron invited me onto his channel to share with you guys some of the tips that I use in my everyday life when styling and undercuts hair style. So that's where they do. I guess I'm gon na go ahead and just jump right into it, starting out with tip number one. This is all about the pre styling products. Depending what products you use as a pre styler, I will determine the final results of your hair style. I'Ll give you three different examples. First, if you use a hair cream, then the final result will be a more silky smooth, natural-looking effect after you blow-dry the number two. If you use mousse, you might find that your hair's gon na be a bit more dry, but it's gon na have a lot more volume and pouf to it and it'll give you different styling opportunities and finally, number three. If you use a wax, it's kind of in between like a cream and the mousse it'll still give you pretty good volume, but it won't feel quite as dry. Anyways today is my freestyle. I'M gon na be using mousse. I'M gon na be using this one right here, I'll link it in the description, but I like this one because it's a heat, protectant and a mousse in one. So it's a free step for you guys right there. Free bonus tip, always use to keep from heat protectant when you're going to use heat products like a blow-dryer. Okay. This is a two and one. So I'm good with this. It'S fluffy and I'll work this in a little bit and then kind of pull off it get it all in there, and now we went on to tip number two. You got to decide which way you want to blow dry and stick to that direction. Kind of there's generally three different styles you can achieve with the blow-dryer if you blow dry your hair in the opposite direction. So for me that would be from my left to my right. Then you will achieve maximum volume that your hair can produce. If you blow dry your hair, the way that your hair grows, which for me would be for my left or my right I'll, be finished with the more smoother natural-looking hairstyle. And finally, if you choose to blow-dry both left and right, so going against the way your hair grows and with the hair the way your hair grows, then you're going to be creating natural volume, with your hair still ending in the direction that it grows since it Naturally, pulls towards that way. So that's what I'm going to be doing today right now right, then you should be finished once your hair is completely dry and there's no moisture left, because if there's any moisture, then that can mess with the way that you want. Your hair to set and stay for the day, alright tip number three is all about the finishing product. Now, as you probably know, there's tons of products out there aren't this matte finish this shine products, there's natural finish, all sorts. You got ta figure out what you want to do, because they will all achieve different outcomes. As you probably know, there's like millions of styling products, ranging from matte finish to shine finish to natural finish to all sorts of different finishes. So you need to figure out for yourself what you want to achieve, because all of these products are going to achieve a different look once you put it in your hair. Obviously, matte finish means that it's gon na look like there's no product in your hair, ranging all the way down to super shiny pomade, which makes it look. You know like greasy way back in the day type of slicked back hair styles stuff like that. So what I'm gon na be using today is from the Pete and Petro line from a man. Alpha M. This one put simply is just called paste. If I were to place this in the scale between the shiny greasy look and the matte no product look, I would place it just about in the middle, so it's got kind of like a natural shine, but it's not over-the-top at all, and this also doesn't have A super stronghold, so it's gon na give a natural finish and a natural shine. So once we've chosen our products, we can move on to tip number four alright. So this tip is all about the application process. Since this isn't a very strong hold, I can get away with a little bit more there. You go rub it in make sure you mull safai completely, so you spread it well and then this is where the real tip is get it in your hair from the roots to the tips. Don'T just go over the top. You got ta work it in make sure that your product covers and your entire head of hair like this once you work, your product in your hair should be ready to take on the day or the night, and you know when you styled your hair. The reason why it's so important to work it all the way through your hair is simply because, if you layer it just on the top, then you're not given whole to the roots and your roots is what holds your hair up throughout the whole day. Because you can just layer it over the top, it might look good for the moment, but I can guarantee you is talking the last very long course. If you work it all the way through it's gon na last a lot longer, you got it right if you'd like to get your hands on this product right here or any other from the Pete and Pedro line, then check out the coupon that I've got in The description for a discount and also the website that sound good okay, now that I'm done with that we're moving on to tip number five tip number five has to do with transitioning into a new hairstyle. You know the undercoat is great and it's been my favorite hairstyle. But what if you want to try something new and you want to start letting your hair grow out longer? Well, you know go ahead and do that. But of course, if you're growing, your hair out you're gon na hit that awkward stage where your hair just doesn't really know, look like you know what you're doing within it's going kind of all funky. So I'm about to flashback to myself when I have long hair and tell you what you should do, or one step that you could do to minimum life to minimize the awkward looking stage so flashback to old Joe right guys we're we're jumping into the past. When my sides have out, I started to grow out to the most noticeable thing when hair starts to grow out, especially if you've gone from an undercut is around the ears, and this area just starts looking a little bit messy. So what you want to do is take your razor, whichever one that you got and don't have any guard on it. So it's just a zero like this. So what you want to do is take all the hair plaits behind your ears and bring it in front. Like this, because that's everything that we want to chop off and yep just check it out next, I'm just going to take the blade and literally follow the outline of my ear. All right not finished yet, but that's all really much better all right! Well, there you go, you can see much nicer than for just a quick and easy. Now we can jump back into the future, see you guys all right. Well, there you go guys. Those are my five tips that I have for. You hope that she learned something new and that you found this video in one way or another, and, like I said my name is Joe. If you'd like to see any more of my stuff, you can find me over at the channel bloom on and that's it I'll see. If you want to try it for the first time or try for the first time again, it's up to you guys, thanks for watching, have a great day.

BluMaan: Thanks for having me Aaron! hope you guys find these tips helpful.  To everyone who doesn't like the undercut: just don't get it :P

actrambley21: Great to see you guys working together! Both of you have been a ton of help getting my personal style into shape.

Shashank Laur: No matter how Perfect I make my Hair, the moment I step outside, the Wind Fucks me from all different directions.

OutlawPete: incredibly useful... i have no hair.

Cruz Jimenez1909: This was so help full I have the same hair cut and I've been trying to do that but couldn't figure it out!! Now that I've watched this video I do my hair like this everyday!!!

middleage NYer: Great video! I like seeing you collaborate with others who do the same work that you are doing. But I have to say, When Joe started at the beginning and you saw him with damp hair and no product in his hair, I thought to myself he look even better in the before shot than the after shot. I found that when his hair is styled, it makes his face to elongated and out of proportion. With great hair and good looks, less is more.

GentleHair: Great tips! Really useful not only for undercut styling but in general too.

Angela Orton: This is awesome. Thank you. I never thought to use a hair mousse before blow-dry ING and then applying the product. No more flat undercut for me.

Krugera Blog: Love the styling!  I really want to try these out when I get my hair styled!! I'll definitely make a video :D

Jersey Boy: I never realized how time consuming some of these important steps take but when done right. WORKS WONDERS! TY SO MUCH TO YOU AND YOUR CHANNEL

Edward Cullen: Undercuts only work if you've got an angular, rugged, more masculine face. I'm a pretty young-looking guy with softer facial definition, so once I got an undercut, I ended up looking like an extra from Orange is the New Black.

Drey: This is crazy, I wanted to improve my hair game so I started watching Joe 3 days ago and now you make a collab with him haha.

RobbieRobski: This video came just in time. My normal is about an inch on top and 1/4 on the sides. My hair is about 4 inches long right now because I've been holding off on a cut. And I wasn't sure what exactly to do at this length. I think I might actually try this undercut, still on the fence though.

Junaid Siddiqui: Great video Alpha. I have the same haircut like him but as a student I really can't afford to style it with a blow-drier and all these pre-stylers and finishing products. I only use pomade sometimes and try to do a comb-over but that doesn't give me that good hold and volume like him.

Charlie Carroll: I love how you both style your hair the perfect way

FreddysFloofsClips: I love how you cover ALL aspects of style!<3

Stevottty: Loved this! Do more please :D

Terry Andrews: I love it when successful style channels support each other  rather than tear each other down - says something even more about the good character you promote on your channel . . .

The Teklo Foundry: Hey alpha, I recently had a hair stylist do an undercut hair style, but they put the part way to high up on my head, and I basically have a small patch of hair left on the top. Any tips to have the hair grow and be the same length as my bangs again? Thanks in advance

albeeinla: He has good tips. I wish I could use them. I cant use any products with silicones as they build up which looks like dandruff. Ever since I stopped using them, my scalp is cleaner and healthier.  Too much build up leads to a lack of moisture which in turn can break the hair and/or stop hair growth in certain spots.

DJ HANDY KUTZ: that back in time part was so well made. He had a blueprint for this.Amazing forethought brother

Josue Balderas: Thanks to both of you for the tips. Now I now how to make my combover haircut a little more volume

Saqlain Zaki: both of you guys are awesome, seeing you together is a dream come true <3

Jared Warburton: Useful vid, I usually just style mine after towel drying it so it's flatter but gonna see what it turns out with volume :)

Usman z: Joe is Awesome I love his videos and how he explain about hairstyles thanks Joe for this great video and alpha m. I love your videos to and I love that how you explain, you both doing great job man thanks to you guys. ;)

Mr Nobody: I used to spend hours on my hair, I've tried every kind of hair products: gel, wax, gum, clay, mousse, spray... Before I realised that all I really need in life is jar of strong hold pomade, and I'm sorted in minutes.

VON HARRIS OSAM TARMAD: Thanks Joe! I got the solution to my all time prob, i dont put the wax at the bottom so it just falls flat at times but yeah!! Thanks

Josh Chrobak: I love the collaboration video! I've been subscribed to both channels for the longest time, and was very surprised when I seen this in my subscription box!

Yourgamer Shanti: I'm a girl and this is real helpful I just cut my hair today

psyssi: Past Joe's hair looked better than current Joe's hair imo.

Gunning for AFC: There's no need for you guys to hate this hairstyle.. It's unique and only some people with certain face shapes and hair types can pull it. My hair isn't like that but that hair looks pretty good to me

2011theonlycheese: Whenever I style my hair back into a quiff, my hair all goes the same height and the back of my hair is higher than my quiff, how do I avoid this, should I ask for less length at the back compared to the front????

ParadoxSox: This really helped! Thank you!

oneshotki11: I have been having such trouble with what to do with my hair lately. Thanks!

Mayank Bhattacharya: All kinds of hair gains. All kinds.. :P

1 Dilek - Hollanda' da bir Dilek: Aaron, I have a (Turkish and Dutch) beauty youtube channel and I love watching your videos!! You are such a great and down to earth person. Keep up the good work! Lots of love, Dilek ^_^

MKF30: I want to see Alpha and BluMaan make a new super pomade! I want to buy one from each of their brands, heard good things.

KingCos: Does the hair product work for nappy african hair ?

Darkserch96: Hey Adam ! I Am a 18 years old guy from Mexico ! I love this kind of videos , in fact i really enjoy all your videos :) Thanks for all this information is very usefull.

soulfulroyalty: by the way-- i'm a subscriber and I like your videos... just sometimes I think some of your suggestions/tips are a bit too far left (that being said, I respect your videos and respect that you present this as nothing more than help videos!)  and I love ATL too--lol, thanks good sir for sharing!

Apurba Samanta: I can see the major difference in confidence of aaron and joe at that time and now in 2018..

TheYugiohSlut: Wait, moose goes on BEFORE hairdrying? This changes everything!

ok bye: Very useful, thankyou!

SoFlySuperFly: I want a tutorial about properly straightening your hair. I have super full but curly and dryish hair. I always straighten my hair. But I am letting it grow currently and options are getting less and less. The guys from Slikhaar would be really cool for that. Because they know what they are doing. I am sure they could give tons of tips.  What I am after is how to prepare your hair, what types of products to use before and also what types of products to use afterwards.  Another problem I have is that sometimes during the styling process it starts curling again. Is there anything one can do about that? Hope it's going to get covered! :)

SHAIRMIK KARMAKAR: This collaboration is great. Keep it up Alph@.

Trumpyfilip: Please keep hair natural. Stop with all those products, even girls do not waste that much time on hair except for special events. Natural can be stylish.

Peter Parker: DANG haha didn't expect this collab, awesome! One with Dre would be amazing.

Nuke the Moon: Haha I just followed his instructions and they worked very well

Rohan Samrai: I have the opposite problem, my hair gets too thick a 'puffy' (much volume), so how would i do the opposite and have it fall flat? Otherwise I'd just look 'shroom-ish

H W: Will it hold even for a sweaty workout and jogging? I have used gel and wax, and all of them failed me. I guess the heat get to them, and made them melt. Will moss and wax do the job?

shawn: My two favorite youtubers in one!!! Holy shit this is crazy

richis404: funny is that I had this hairstyle like 10 years ago , nobody thought it was that cool and me neither but now its popular :/ anyway BluMaan has some helpful tips , I subscribed to him about a week ago but its getting boring because believe it or not there are still men today who'd like to style their hair differently. In like 5 years this hairstyle will be extremely dated and I'd like to see some veriaty in our days and age

Adam Johanson: I use American Crew Forming Cream medium hold and American Crew Medium Hold Spray Gel and these are by far the best products i've ever had and i tested a lot of products because my hair is very similar to Joe's but a bit more straight

Matt Mcdonnell: You probably wont see this but i love your channel, thanks for everything you help me with

AbdullahFootball: Hey Joe for styling your hair, so you first wet your hair and then blow dry or what are the steps

Ruben Gutierrez: I imagine most of the people commenting and disliking Joe's hair just be men in their 20's or 30's with basic and boring hair.

Noe Santillan: Love both of your videos good job both of you

TameemZ: I have an undercut but with asian hair (really thick / puffy unless its really long). My biggest problem is finding a product that can be soft in my hair but still hold. I currently use aquage transforming paste mixed with crew pomade (both alone do nothing) but they dont hold my hair at all. I then have to douse my head with hairspray until its hard to the touch. that is when I have enough hold. is there a product that will be soft to touch but still hold my really thick asian hair?

Isa Dukmenić: Great job with the video, I like it!!

Tobiasz Dziubiński: What haircut would recommend for a person with oval shape of the head, high forehead and bends?

AT 7: the question is how do i know which hair products are pre stylers and which ones are finishers? fml

Jorge Villalobos: Awesome! Loved it.

Salem Adams: I am having trouble with keeping my hair in place. Idk what kind of hair I have, but I do have two cowlicks in the front of my hair and one in the back. When I bend over it tends to fall down and just doesn't stay in place. Any tips?

Big Dreams: do one for short hair plz!!

Eric Lopez: Does it have to do on how thick or thin your hair is?

AT jaylamaj: im black. let that sink in...

Mrbeastly84: two favourite mens style channels on youtube!

Travel with Haseeb: Where do I get the pre-styler mousse?

Json: Great collaboration, glad to see this happened.

Flameingo: Very helpful thanks

HelloImMatt: Always tips for guys with straight hair :'))) ...

French Artist: Yes! I love you both, thank you guys for this video.

Maikel Barents: OMG this video is just in time Love it!

Anthuan Urdanivia: When my hair gets longer it gets like frizzy and wavy it's weird when I put gel on to put it to the side everything gets all messy any tips I like the classic and modern look but I really can't do it for some reason thanks

Trey Smith-Craig: Long hair styles and styling next ? Please :)

Zuhayr: Tbh I would leave my hair like it is at 3:09

Owen Clark: Very nice video alpha! Thanks!

Shadowrage119: What kind of hairstyle is good for very thick, wavy, dry hair? Hair is damn near impossible to style. Been using the Pete and Pedro Putty, but my hair just curls and puffs up and thus makes it too hard to style.

yumii: What happens if you don't use a finishing product?

jack_ wallace: Thanks for the tips, what's the brand of the moose, hair cram and wax that joe used in the video.

TechGuy: ur blessed with ur hair! Omfg

Vinayak Singh: well Alpha what should i do with my fuzzy curly hair of front to get smooth and perfect undercut

Keegan Brady: How do i achieve the look at 2:40 ?? Do i use a more glossier puddy or should i use a clay? Do i not blow dry and start off with damp hair... :D Very good video !!!! Keep em coming!!

vishnu k menon: this was very helpful

BCT: His hair looks like a sunflower seed

Tom Tobin: It'd be nice if you did a hairstyle video for us baldy dudes, PLEASE!

djromana17: is no one going to address the fact that this man can time travel at will?

Skubee Raw: I like Joe. It was good that you had AoM speak at stylecon, maybe have Joe as guest speaker next year!

Coldzero14: I dont get why people drool over his hair, I mean my hair looks similar and I never get complements on it.

Jack McDonald: No way dude I love this, You and Blumaan are great

Howard Mathews: Well.. the kind of stuff you can live without and still look good.

Big Bobby: you no hairstylers never say that if you wanna rock a certain haircut you sadly have to be in shape otherwise... eh... i just say it works magically

Abdul Mozid: I love this hairstyle, want to get it, but it takes too much maintenance. I just stick to my pillow to give me my hairstyle.

Help me reach 10000 subscribers with no reason: Why am I watching this? I gotta ride all day long with helmet on.

Jason Liu: do we still have to use the finishes product?

Seth Travis: it's thermal mousse going to work a lot better than firm mousse?

Landon Swift: Thanks great video :)

Kuljit Singh: Good one Joe as always, now go and do another video for your channel hahaha

Scan: Lol i kind of forgot i was watching an alpha video

Braxtokodom: I hate that there is so much hate on joe, we are all men here and should respect every hairstyle. you may not like it but you are not the only man alive. and then again most of the hate can be considered bullying and did we not pass that in high school?
