What is up youtube? It'S your girlfriend janae and i'm back with another video and, as you already see by the title today, i'm going to show y'all how i got this hair color and it's kind of like a wine type of burgundy type of red. It wasn't exactly the color i was going for. I was definitely going for more of a red, but next time i know everything that i need to do um. This is hair from icy hair, one of my favorite brands. Let me show y'all just a 360 of the color, like it's a little it's brighter in the back, it's definitely brighter. In the background, let me show you guys how i got this color um without any use of bleach or anything. You do not even need any bleach powder um. As you see, the hair is not damaged at all. If anything is super, duper fluffy and bouncy like this hair is lit. Like y'all know, i see one of my favorite brands, like that's one of my brands, that i can vouch for i see like they come through every time they come through with the lace and they come through with the wigs and baby. This is a look like y'all know. I don't really do color. This is me stepping into a little bit of color um, and actually i'm really surprised the outcome. I will be trying red again, but i'm definitely going to try and get it a little brighter. But if you want to see how i got this color stay tuned watching this video. If you know my channel go ahead and hit that subscribe button and also turn that bell post notifications, so you can be notified every time. I post a video because we on the road to 200k and it's a little and yeah y'all, i'm not going to ramble too much. Let'S go ahead and get into the video. So, just a little specks on this hair before i uh show you guys how i colored this hair um. This is a 26 inch wig. This is the longest that their wigs come in, which is a 26 inch um. But yes, it's a 26 body wave wig and y'all. It'S the everything! It'S the curls, it's the color! It'S the everything for me like sis and i, and to think i was scared to try a little color or something like this is so pretty like. Look at how perfect it curled, like! Oh, my god, like this hair, is flawless literally the lace laid great and another thing when i was coloring this hair. I don't know if it's just me, but for some reason, when hair is completely colored, it is harder for me to lay the lace so or just to melt it. I don't know what it is, but it's just harder. So i didn't go all the way up. The roots with the color i stopped a little bit, so that's why you see black right here, but honestly, i just think that makes it look way more natural and it still looks super duper good because you know what i'm saying i like a little black root. I, like my edges, to be you know, for the most part, a natural color. I can't stand like color edges that, like i just don't like it, but it's the hair for me baby, but yeah yo. All the links to this hair will be in the description box below and without further ado, i'm going to show y'all how i colored this hair, okay guys. So what i used was l'oreal high color in red. I used three of these. I actually bought four, but i left one in the car. I also used a 30 volume developer. Um don't be like me and mess around and get a liquid a clear developer, make sure you get a cream developer. I made a mistake and grabbed a liquid. I mean a clear developer by mistake and it just makes it more like loose. You see, it's just. It looks like water. Basically, um try to get a cream developer. If you can, i wasn't paying that much attention in sally's and i messed around and got the wrong one um, but just read the measurements on the hair box and you'll be able to get all what that you need. Um try to be very strict on the measurements, because it'll make the hair come out better uh. The the kind of developer you use is how bright your hair is going to be. I choose: i should have used a 40 because i wanted it brighter um, but i used to 30 because i was scared but yeah. They make it hard for you to open these things. So i just cut the bottom off and um put it in the bowl. I'Ve seen other people do this as well um, and it actually makes it more easier. So i'm just taking it out of the thing like this and i got in a bowl and don't worry guys um, these dishes will be thoroughly washed and it didn't stain the plastic or anything actually which i was surprised that it didn't. But it didn't stain and i also think my color would have came out better if i would have used all four instead of just three because i was kind of low, but i didn't feel like going back outside um but yeah right now. I'M just using two boxes: um and i'm gon na use one whole box for the front tool um, because i'm gon na pay more attention to the frontal, because of course you don't want to color your lace. So this is what i'm doing right now and you're. Just going to see me mix it um the measurements are on the box. It wasn't nothing specific. I think it was like two um two fourths of i'm not sure. I think it's like two fourths of a cup, if i'm not mistaken, of developer with one package, but don't hold me to it, it is on the box, so you'll be able to see what i will say is make sure you have gloves on y'all, because you Do not want to stain your fingertips or your nails or whatever you have make sure you're using gloves, and i made sure that i had gloves because baby i don't have time to have red hands um. Just for to make this process easier, i would suggest having an applicator brush. It'S just way more easier than just doing it with your hands. This is the wig straight out just plain black natural black and honestly, there was no method for me applying it just to the whole base. Wig honestly, i was more concerned with the frontal right here. You'Re, just gon na see me literally just putting color in the hair, with no method just trying to saturate that hair in as much color as i can. You want to fully saturate that hair and dye, so you can get an even color, i'm sure. As you all see in the beginning, i didn't have an even color next time, i'm trying to pay more attention to that. But really, i was just trying to honestly do it and i was making a big mess and it was just a lot going on, but literally is no method to doing this part just make sure that you're saturating the hair. I would suggest, with a wig of this length, get about four or five, so you won't have any black pieces, especially if you don't want any. You know um discolored parts throughout the hair, i would say, get about four or five. They were like seven dollars, a piece or six, i'm not even sure, but make sure you get enough. I'D rather have more than not enough and yeah literally there's no method, i'm just literally fully coloring the hair. All the way up, just trying to get an even color so now that i have the whole outside cover y'all, see it's kind of mostly saturated on the outside. I'M going on the inside trying to get some of those strands saturated with color as well, because we don't want just the outside red in the middle black. So you have to make sure that you're going in the middle, especially if you're going to do it like this break up the hair comb it through and just fully drench that hair with color. I can't even put it no other type of way: y'all literally just drench the hair, so so so this is the main part of the wig fully covered in dye. So now we're going to move on to the frontal, so the frontal part is tedious and i didn't want it to be fully red. I wanted a little bit of a black root, just a tiny smidge amount of black root. So what you're going to see me? Do here is go on the hair. Try your hardest, not to get any on the lace. That'S why i tried my hardest, not to um. Go all the way to the root um side um. What am i trying to say side stroking with your applicator brush? Is your best friend when doing it like this? Because if you go straight down, it's going to be kind of blunt and you don't like that, when you're doing type of an armor, a kind of ombre you want to um, make it fade off kind of into a different color and not just a straight line. So you want to side stroke that color into the frontal and i'm not really focused on the ends right now, i'm just getting the color on the top part, i'm going to finish the ends at um after i finish the actual roots, because that's the most tedious Task - and this is going to take the longest but y'all see me - i have my applicator brush - turned to the side side, striping that, because that is what's going to make it, you know appear to have a gradient type of you know, fade off into that red And y'all, i'm all up in the camera y'all, i'm really not good. With these type of videos - and i see - i know - y'all see my kitchen back here - looking all crunchy baby, but it don't matter it don't matter but, like i said y'all, i'm not good with these type of videos. So i'm just trying to show you as much as i can um how i did it or whatever, like i, don't, really know, i'm trying to show y'all like it's really a viewing process, and it's really not much to it honestly like they made it super easy. Uh, this bleach doesn't cause any damage. No bleach was no bleach at all. It didn't cause no damage, and literally it's just you doing the hair, and i will say that i bleached the knots before i did this, so i prepped the wig and plucked it before. I even colored the hair that just made it more easier, um just easier on my part, i feel like so yeah. If anyone asked that i did bleach and pluck it before i even colored it but y'all see me just shot side, striping um and just getting that color into that frontal. Try my hardest not to get on the lace, and i just hope, y'all see what i'm doing like. I said with videos like this. I feel i'm not very thorough, but after i finished the frontal i did end up putting the wig outside and i'll say that i left the color on the wig for about four or five hours. I could have kept it on longer, but i just kept it on for four or five hours. Then i rinsed it um and i don't have any of that on camera because, like i said i i have a problem with being thorough with tutorials. I don't know what it is, but i kind of miss out on stuff and it'd be hard to. You know record in different angles and stuff, but all i did was rinse it with some cold water, and i just put some conditioner in it and let it sit for 10 minutes and i just went on about my day. Let it dry - and i put it on my head and styled it and it was beautiful like it just looked really nice. I definitely think putting it outside in the sun did help it process a little faster and just made it. You know work a little better. I feel like if i would have kept it inside, it would have been way darker, but the sun did help. It looks like it's changing a little bit. I put it outside the sun. All right, you guys. I hope you all got something from this video um. I definitely am pleased with the outcome i do wish. It would have came out a little brighter, but next time i know to use a 40 developer instead of a 30 developer um, i used a 30 developer because i was kind of scared and it's my first time coloring with the l'oreal high color. So i just decided to go with a 30, but next time i know i need to use a 40, so i can lift a little higher just one more level. It just needed one more level lift and it literally was going to be the exact color that i wanted. So i know next time and it's going to be a next time - that's what i'm so ready for, but another thing about donna's hair. It makes the mess when i don't count. I got it all over my floor, but it washes out if you get it soon as it drops like, if you get it up soon it dries like i mean if you wait till it dry, it's not it's going to be harder to get it out, but If you get it as soon as it dries, then you should be straight, but yeah i ain't even gon na lie. I created a mess, so i would suggest even doing this outside. Don'T even do it in your house, don't risk getting on the walls the floor. The carpet, whatever you have don't even try and risk that furniture, nothing um. But besides, that is this not a look are y'all feeling my new look is it? Is it? Is it like? I got a lot of compliments. Everybody keep asking me girl who did your hair blah blah? I always get that and i be like i do my hair, like i do it. You know what i'm saying and, of course it's like. Oh, how much you're charged - i don't know what it is, but i'm just scared to do other people's hair. It lays different when i'm doing someone else's hair. It'S something about doing your own hair, that's easier than doing someone else's. I don't know what it is, but it's just something about it. That'S why i don't do hair um, but yes, that's pretty much it guys, um. I think i want this kind of color in a bob type of form. I think i want something short. I want something short, but this is still cute. I want something even longer and straight with this color, but um yeah y'all. I hope you guys seriously enjoyed this video. I'M trying to drop videos continuously for y'all apartment tour moving day is in two days literally moving day is in two days, i'm so excited um and yeah, guys that's pretty much it for today's video.
