braided crochet headband - diademas tejidas a crochet. DIY trending braided headband

Hi guys welcome back today, i will be showing you how to make this braided headband. It looks hard, but it's actually really easy. I will go forward very slowly, so you can follow every step of the way and, let's begin the materials for this headband. I use this acrylic yarn, it's a medium weight, four, a cutting board or something else. That'S flat. A crochet hook size six millimeters five pins to hold down your yarn when you're braiding you'll need some scissors and a tapestry needle to begin this headband. We start by making a slipknot, so we make a loop, take the yarn behind the loop and grab it in the middle, with our needle pull a bit not too much. You have to be able to slide it on your needle. Then we start making our foundation chain, so we yarn over and pull through that's a chain yarn over pull through two chains. Three now we know how to chain. So you just do 72 chains and i will show you what to do in the next row. All right, when we're done with the 72 chains, we start working the first row. We will be making double crochet, so we work in the third stitch from the hook. This one doesn't count. So this is the first stitch, the second and the third. So we will work in this third stitch for double crochet. We start by yarning over then we insert the needle in this third stitch and we have three loops on the needle. Then we grab the yarn pull through one. We yarn over pull through two and then we yarn over and pull through two. So that's a double crochet. We do another double crochet. So this is our next stitch. We yarn over insert the needle in this next stitch and we have three loops on the needle. We grab the yarn and pull through yarn over pull through two and yarn over pull through two. Now we have two double crochet sitting on a row and we will search for the next stitch, which is this one. So we yarn over and do another double crochet. So insert the needle grab the yarn pull through one yarn over pull through two and yarn over pull through two. That'S three double crochet yarn over and do another double crochet in this next stitch. Insert the needle grab the yarn and pull through yarn over pull through yarn over pull through all right continue doing double crochet all the way across, and then i will show you what to do in the end. We are at the end of this first row and we're done so leave a long tail for this. First, one and snip your yarn pull it all the way through and go ahead and weave in your ends, make five in total and weave in the ends on all these other ones. And then we start braiding. Now you grab your cutting board and your pins and all your strands, and you have this one when you left a long tail, find your tapestry needle and thread it with this long tail and then lay your strands beside each other in a row. And then we weave them together, so we go in the one side and up the other side and pull through then down one side of the next one and up the other side all the way through all of them it's just to keep them in place. Right now sorry like this and just pull out your thread again, we will need this in the other end now take this and take to the edge of your board, and then you pin all of them down to your cutting board. You can also use a clipboard just anything that will hold the yarn down, so it doesn't slip when we start pulling in a bit like this, and now we start braiding. So we all know how to do it with three strands, but now it's five. So i will show you very slowly how we do so. You take the second strand up and take it over the third one and you take it under the ball and over the fifth. Then you take the first one and this one you take under the next one and then over and under and over so you're, going over under over and all the time each time. So now we pull them a little bit and tidy up. I think this is easier doing along the way. That'S it from now on. We always using this to the side and working this way. So you take this one, the first one and you look at this one and you can see that it's going under so under this one and over and under and over and again the same, you take the first one and work this way and you look at It and see yeah you're going under, so you start pulling it under and then over and over under. So it's it's actually not that hard. It'S just look. It looks hard, so you see it's so beautiful. Yeah, take this next one and just under, and you just do the same, all the way to the end and you can tidy a bit along the way. So it stays beautiful and this next one take it under and over and under and over the first one. Again under over under and over and the next one we are almost at the end now it's beginning to get a little bit tricky with all those short ends, but we have done it a few times now, so it shouldn't be a problem. We'Re almost there. This one under over, so we did it we're at the end. So now we just push it a bit like that. You find your yarn, that's left and you cut a piece and your tapestry needle read it, and now you do the same as we did in the beginning. We go down one side and up the other side of each strand, but we do it like this. These are on top of each other. We let them do that, so they stays it. Oh, i just pulled it out. Sorry, don't pull it all the way through, like i did, and this one was supposed to go under now. They are in place. They shouldn't on braid, so you go along to the other side. Now we have our braiding and you can just pull it a bit. So it's nice and even all the way. Now you take out all your pins, pull it a bit together and then you take the one end. That'S longest, this one is longer for me, so i thread my hamstring needle with this one, and i turn see this is the wrong side. This is the right side. So now we take and connect the ends and have the wrong side out and we weave them together, just sew all the way across and make sure you go through every strand and a few times in each. So they don't untie and it will look evenly. If you haven't already, you can go subscribe to my channel, i do a new tutorial every week and i'm always going in a very slow pace for beginners. So it's easy to see every step and i explain everything i do. If you have any questions, you can just ask them in the comments below and i'll make sure to answer them, so we are at the end. I will actually just go over this way once more, just to make sure it stays put. I'M done sewing it together and i have sewn in all my ends and we're actually done so now. We can just flip it over and we now have our super cute braided headband. I hope you found the tutorial easy to follow. See you in a week bye.

Kate on the Cob: Thank you for this great easy to follow tutorial. This is the first time I try chrocheting since primary school. (We did easter bunnies back then.) And I'm quite impressed at how simple it looks. However, I might be doing something wrong. My strands start twirling like DNA and the double crochet strands are no longer than 32 cm. Is it possible that my 72 chains from step one are too small?

Missy Kush: What a great instructor you are, my first attempt turned out nicely! Thanks!

Roses&Quilts: Great tutorial! I’m brand new to crochet, and I look forward to making this headband!

Ing-Britt Bronzwinge: That's great work. Thanks for the video.

diane Reid: I did a foundation chain of 82. When I finished the headband it was way too small. You have to take into account the beginning dc where you loose 3 stitches. Then you also have to take into account when you make the braid, the length is going to be shorter than the 72 beginning chains. I will have to do another headband and try to factor in these things! Anyone else figure this out, after the fact? Also….you should thread your needle before starting to weave so you don’t have to turn your work loose to do it….

59clarissa: Meraviglioso❤️
