Don't Forget To Live Your Extra Life.

Howdy beautiful welcome to the game, show where we pick one drugstore shampoo, that is the best of all, except maybe none of them are the best i'll, be testing out dove herbal essence, pantene and tresemme things that i've heard of before, but i've never ventured into. In fact, i've never actually used drugstore shimmer. I have an explanation for this. I grew up in a salon. My dad owned, a salon, my entire life since birth. I had been using professional grade shampoo, so this will be very interesting for you and very interesting for me to figure out if these are actually not as bad as you know, some hairdressers make them out to be i'm all for cheap products that work well, like That'S totally cool everybody you know needs to be able to afford a nice shampoo, even if you only have six dollars to spare we're gon na figure out. If it matters where you get your shampoo, drugstore or salon, and if the price actually matters or if there is actually some good things out there for a very low price, which i hope there is, let's get testing, let's figure out which one of these shampoos. If any, i actually recommend using. Let'S do it. Let'S begin i'll be going through one shampoo at a time testing it full on through and figure out what the hell is going on and if it's good or if it's bad, please give me my first shampoo victim of the day dove. That'S the wrong way dove and the retail price of this is a whopping 5.99 girl. I have never in my life, knew that these things were so cheap. Let'S go based off of the look of the bottle, real quick. It says 100 recycled bottle if you're like into recycled things, which i think everybody should be go for it. This says cruelty free on it, which is great. I much prefer vegan hair care, but you're not really going to find that in the drugstore. I don't think i could be wrong, but nothing we have today, i don't think is vegan. This is the daily moisture shampoo everything we'll be trying today is moisturizing, because i feel like a lot of people like that. Really soft shiny glowing, moisturized hair and most people need moisture. This is shampoo for everyday care nourishing system for smooth hair resilient to daily damage. This is 12 ounces. Okay, so why don't we just crack this open and smell her? It honestly just smells like generic shampoo to me: it's not a very expensive scent. It just kind of smells like soap. It'S very fresh, like in, like a body wash right now, yeah, like a body wash. What do you think that smell is, though, like floral floral fresh, like fresh, like in tahiti, what the going to tahiti moving on so we're going to touch? This now definitely feels like shampoo to me. It is quite sticky and gummy, which is usually something that happens in moisturizing shampoos, because of some of the moisturizing ingredients are quite sticky and thick um happens in my shampoos. It happens in most people's moisturizing shampoos, which is actually nice, because i like a heavier shampoo for moisturizing benefits and this seems to definitely be heavier. It is very much on my fingers very basic ingredient lists. Some sulfates, which guys sulfates, are not all bad so chill with that fragrance, is really high up on the list. It is like the fourth ingredient that is a lot of fragrance dimethicone citric acid, sodium benzoate, oh yeah. The ingredient list is just so basic for me. It'D be like building the base of a shampoo and then not putting any additives to actually make it good for your hair. There'S nothing! That'S really going to promote healthy hair growth and a healthy scalp being blunt with yeah uh. No wonder why it's six dollars! You know you're really getting the basics of hair care with this next thing. We'Re going to be doing is testing this baby, we'll be testing every single one of these shampoos on a hair strand right before your eyes, and then at the end, once i'm done reviewing all the shampoos i have today we'll go back and we'll touch all the Hair strands once they're all dry and figure out which one actually just feels the best. Let me grab a bowl of water and, let's start testing this baby out. That'S your cue! Let'S do a little dunkaroo now that we got my water here, yeah little asmr for you girl, that's a lot of lather. It feels slimy. Okay, i mean it feels clean. You know what i mean. The strand has been shampooed we're gon na. Let that dry. Let'S move on to our next shampoo victim of the dam up. Next, we have herbal essence, hello, this retails for 6.29 cha-ching that'll break the bank baby. So let's talk about the bottle. It'S exactly what i would expect. I will say: the cap is easy to use and it's functional. The actual product seems to have a nice beautiful, pearly color. So i like that pretty typical front and back label moment a nice squishy little plastic bottle. That'S about 12 ounces. This says rebel in the lush. Aroma is great for more aromas, deep moisture for hair, hello, hydration, hair and body wash shampooing, plus gel douche. What this is gel douche they represent parabens. We like that. It'S cruelty free, maybe 100 renewable energy everybody's really into the recycled bottles, which is good, ph, balanced and color safe, dermatologist tested. What is the dermatologist testing with this skincare? It says body so obviously, hair and body. You literally read that out loud. Did you not process that in your head? No, i didn't. I'M scared. Okay, let's do a smell test. This one just smells like plastic smell this i used to use herbal essence as a kid. I think it might just be the bottle that smells like plastic. It'S literally, the plastic is in the box. I really like the color a lot. It is a beautiful pearl color, a lot less thick than the dove one. It is more runny you can see. It dripping out of my hand right here, and you know it still feels a little moisturizing. We got another very short ingredient list. Surprise. Surprise. We do have coconut extract, though, and corn the perfume is a lot lower on the list than the dove one. I must say the dove one: oh you could tell it was a top ingredient. Also, flour extract definitely feels a little more professional quality than dove with the ingredients, and i appreciate that they at least put some thought into the ingredient list and then just make another generic shampoo, but coconut. You know it doesn't actually have the best rep for moisturizing properly. It tends to put a film over your hair fibers and on your skin and actually doesn't let moisture in so don't love the coconut you'll never see my products with coconut in them. It is a really gorgeous color, like i love colored shampoos. I don't know why. Just as the experience you know, it's very blue though, like it's almost toning, great lather ability, it smells so good right up those nostrils right up those old breathing tubes, all right. Let'S rinse this baby off wow, that is we're gon na take her away and we'll review her when we're done. My next guest today is tresume whoa. I wasn't expecting it to be as heavy for some reason: that's because it's 28 milliliters uh, oh 28, ounces milliliters. This costs 5.49, it's the cheapest. One of all, it is double the ounces of the last two we just used based off. Look, i actually do like the packaging. This one looks the most chic to me great job tresemme with the labeling. I like the black. A lot like the metallic foil um moment going on in the front, it says, moisture, rich, seven times more luxurious with vitamin e all right. I love vitamin e, oh and it has an asterisk versus non-conditioning, shampoo god. I love marketing. It'S so fun to read. Theirs is seven times more moisturizing. It smells like sweet tarts. Apparently that's what people like people just want like this, like sweet, floral generic scent? It'S a lot like it'll, give you a headache in five seconds: whoa caring for the planet. This bottle is made with at least 25 recycled material. Okay. Well i mean a little bit less recycled than the other ones. I must say ooh. I love this little pearlescent color we have going on here. It is not that sticky, it's a little bit thinner than you know: dove ingredients. Okay, so ak is pro vitamin b5, which is great for your hair and your skin. They have biotin in here fragrance is middle of the list, so not that much fragrance. Besides biotin and panthenol, i really see nothing else, that's quite professional quality or anything. That'S really amping this up and making it really great. I mean those are very basic things to add panthenol, especially not great ingredient lists, just not the worst. Let'S dip it in the water, let's do a little put that on there interesting, i do have to say it's lathering, a little less than the other two, which is totally fine using professional shampoo. I mean it really does not suds up even close to drugstore. For some reason, like there's not as many surfactants in professional shampoo as there is in drugstore from my findings today, but i could be wrong on that. I am rinsing this strand off feeling fresh, it's feeling moisturized, i will say - and let's put this out to dry and let's move on my last and final drugstore shampoo of the day. I think it's gon na be the winner. You ruined my intro emma. Can the thing to me okay hand it to me pantene, that's the one pantene shampoo retails for 5.99 and it is 20 ounces. This is the second largest. They did a good job at making. This look nice for not a lot of money, because you can tell that this is just um screen printed on here. This metallic printing on the front looks great and it has like a little thing for your shampoo to get caught in. I love this cap. I actually like this bottle daily moisture renewal 24 hour hydration. I would hope the hydration wouldn't fall out of your hair nutrient rich lather, effortless, detangling and lasting shine. This one smells more like candy than the tresemme one does. I just would never want to smell like this. Why would you want to smell like candy all day, one of the most expensive things to put in a shampoo is a nice scent, and you can really tell when you smell something that's different like say, orbe or like x-mondo. You can tell that we put a lot of effort into the scent it actually has different notes to it, and the scent is different on everybody's head because it mixes with your natural oils. Some brands put a lot of money into that and some brands. Clearly, don't another nice pearly color, this one is the thinnest of all and yeah. It doesn't feel that sticky so probably doesn't have a ton of moisturizing benefits, but it feels normal. I really like your sticky texture, don't you yeah? I love it yeah. You do like it's sticky, don't you yeah, somebody has to i like it anyway. I can get it oh there. It is okay ingredient list, fragrance middle of the list. Totally normal panthenol is the only ingredient that i see that doesn't need to be here, but it has been added in generic as hell. Let'S do a little dungaroo. It is lathering. Yes, it is a lot of lathering. I will say it shakes me up every time. Let'S get them all dried and let's give you the final verdict. Okay, so all the hair strands have been blow-dried. We also have this hair strand here i'll, be touching this one and then touching the after, because this is a strand of extension that has not been shampooed yet first hair strand, please a dove perfect. I mean right off the bat. The scent you guys, i've been talking all about scent today, but it smells really bad. I have to say like the before one feels softer than after, and also it looks shinier, but it's very hard to tell pretty easy to detangle and it was pretty like slippery and definitely moisturized. I don't hate that. Definitely the ingredient list told me a lot about these. Let'S keep going through. This is herbal acids. The scent actually is not there anymore or my nostrils are burned. Yeah. No, the scent is not really there anymore. So i like that. I don't really like sense of linger. If you do, then maybe herbal essence isn't for you. This one feels like lighter and softer. It also looks shinier. This is before this is after shampoo looks pretty much the same, but it does feel like it got rid of that little bit of factory greasiness on this one. This one feels definitely like it's been washed and definitely gives a little bit of residue in your hands, though pretty soft hydrated feeling - and it looks nice not mad at this one - either dress. May honestly the hair just smells clean. The scent really did go away. It doesn't really feel like hydrated. In my opinion, it doesn't really feel slippery. It doesn't really feel smooth a little dull, not obsessed the other two i think we're better, which is interesting and, lastly, we have pantene. The scent is still a little bit stronger than the other ones. Besides, dub dub is definitely the strongest and dove also has the fragrance as like one of the top ingredients. So it makes sense. It doesn't really feel too hydrated. It'S definitely similar to the tresemme one. Where it doesn't exactly feel like it did a lot, it definitely feels clean, but not smoothed out, but decent. Let'S go down the list of cheapest to most expensive and let's see if price matters - or i mean even if drugstore shampoo is something you should be using or maybe not tresemme is by far the cheapest, because it is almost double the size of the other ones And it's only 5.49, which is just crazy ingredient lists kind of blows. The hair didn't really feel that great. You definitely get a lot for what you pay for, so i will say that's good and if you like, pretty packaging well, i think this one looks really nice. Would i personally recommend to use this? No, i don't think your hair is going to fall out. I don't think it's going to ruin your hair. I just really don't think it's going to be that beneficial doesn't mean, i hate the whole brand tresemme or any of these brands. I'M about to talk about it doesn't mean i hate them. It just means that this particular product didn't live up to my standards. Let'S just not use this now: okay, pantene, it comes in second cheapest. It is 20 ounces and it is 5.99. So that is damn true scent you guys. That was a deal breaker for me in the beginning. It smells like you put candy in it in a tube. The ingredient list is just so boring and bland and there's literally nothing good about the ingredient list wouldn't recommend. Dove is also 5.99, but you only get 12 ounces. Well, not only you get 12 ounces, which is a decent amount. This one is 100 recycled, so that is really cool, save the environment. We love that this one was by far the worst smelling. One of all and the scent lingers like crazy. The hair strand felt kind of nice actually, but the scent is just really a deal breaker for me. If you like heavy scents and the basic ingredient list, that does really not a lot for your hair. Besides wash it, this is your girl, not obsessed okay, this one herbal essence, just so happens to be the most expensive one 6.29, and i'm also gon na, say something right now that might shock you. I don't absolutely hate this if you're very budget conscious and you want something under you - know, ten dollars for shampoo herbal essence. You kind of like did a few things here this scent when it's out of the bottle, it doesn't smell as much like plastic. As i said it did when it's out of the bottle, it smells okay, it made the hair feel nice. I use a recycled bottle, it's ph balanced, it's color, safe, it's cruelty, free, it's dermatologist tested and the ingredient list was kind of cute. At least they put a little thought into the coconut oil things that you don't need to put in has a drugstore brand that they actually put some thought into and a little bit more effort herbal essence, you win today for drugstore, it's the best one that we Tried today wow, i know my parents did something right, that's the one that they used to get as herbal essence. Well, herbal essence, you win the other ones. Please just maybe put a little more thought into our shampoos that we use and just read the ingredient list. When you see a bunch of things that you have literally no idea, the name of and that's all you see, usually the ingredient list is just very poor and they're just trying to clean your hair and strip it of all its natural oils and literally put nothing Back into it, and that's the difference between professional hair care and drugstore, i guess the ingredients are very thought about they're, also very trendy and cutting edge, typically with professional hair care, and i know with my stuff i try to put every little ounce of knowledge about Hair into my ingredient list, there is much that you don't know the name of, but there's also a lot of stuff that you will know and you will be familiar with. That is the biggest difference of all. That'S how you can tell if a shampoo is cheap or not and also the scent, but we've talked a lot about that today. Make sure you subscribe down below if you're not already hit the like button and the bell icon that'd be great. Follow my instagram at xmoto, hair on instagram or shop below at xmodo hair. Follow me everywhere else here, all my handles there you go and make sure you text me. Yes, this is a real number. Yes, i really get all your text and yes, i can really text you back and i'll, be choosing a few of you to do just that. Today'S instagram shout out goes to alexandra, so she basically says that she's never had her hair, not a shade of brown, and she wants to know what she should do. She has pretty fair skin hazel eyes and natural hair, colors and ashy medium brown. Any suggestions would be amazing: okay, okay, okay. She also was wondering if she should do ginger auburn and yes alexandra. You should a beautiful gingery color, a coppery moment like a little orangey red would be so good on you and it'll be so easy to do and you can use it any permanent color and if you don't like it, it'll come out. That'S what you should do. If you've never done anything to your hair before a little more on the wilder side, then try that first and if you end up doing it, send me a picture. I would love to see it. That'S all for today guys thank you so much for watching and don't forget to live your extra life and i'll see you next time. Bye, guys you

Brad Mondo: Have you used herbal essence? Did you like it?

MkayLoo: Am I the only one who grew up poor thinking these brands were the fancy brands..?

Dixie Cross: The horrible reality is these products are expensive for a majority of people.

Alexis Haygood: Brad: "why would you want to smell like candy all day?" Me, with my marshmallow, cotton candy and vanilla bean scented body sprays and parfumes:

remi miraz: it was a little uncomfortable watching this too but we need to remember that this man grew up in a SALON. he’s not talking as a privileged boy, but as PROFESSIONAL HAIRDRESSER. salon quality will always be better, but thus also being more expensive. his standards for shampoo and conditioner are of course going to professional grade, and the point of the video itself is to take apart these shampoos to see if they are of decent quality from the perspective of a licensed hairdresser - it shouldn’t be taken personally.

tab parks: ✨brad mondo roasts the only shampoos I’ve used my entire life in under 20 min✨

kells: Petition for Brad to do a part 2 with the more “natural” drugstore brands like Maui Moisturize, organix (ogx), love beauty and planet, shea moisture, etc

Julia Carlisle: “Tresemme won’t make your hair fall out” **tresemme gets lawsuit for making hair fall out**

Madison S: Can we also talk about how only a few years ago brands like Herbal Essences used to only be like $3 a bottle?? Now it’s double?! Or am I just remembering incorrectly?

Iulia Nita: I appreciate this review and the attempt to reach your winder audience, as the vast majority is unable to spare extra money. I think we would appreciate it much, much more if instead of slating them, you'd give positives and tell us about which options are best if other options are not affordable. I feel very shamed and cheap for having used these products in the past, self conscious and confined within what I can feasibly afford. Remember, these drug store shampoos are for the *general* public, for those of which even $5.49 may be a lot to use on shampoo. You are great, but please, please just try to put yourself in generic shoes and give constructive criticism.

paxton: i’ve used 2 - 4€ shampoos all my life and my hair is fine. there is literally no need to spend a bunch of money on expensive shampoos. spend those $$ on healthy foods and nourish your body so you and your hair can thrive

Your Bae: I want Brad to do more drugstore reviews as almost 70% of the population relies on it despite not knowing if it's actually working or not

KaylaR517: I recently had to buy a bottle of dove conditioner for $7 thinking it was a bit expensive, and I actually love the scent and I’m surprised you didn’t try head and shoulders

Helen K: I never had expensive shampoo growing up. But one year my auntie bought me salon shampoo & conditioner - I still remember that gift 30 years later - it made me feel so special.

Rose A: I’ve tried nearly every shampoo there is and let me say the expensive ones can be just as bad as drugstore. I’ve been using a $1 shampoo and it works.

Jehnna Anderson: Oh man I feel so poor right now! I’ve always thought of these brands as the fancy ones that you only buy when they’re half price I’ve recently started using herbal essences and really like it! Here in New Zealand they always sell tresemme as “salon quality” which I’m sure it’s not but my cheap taste doesn’t mind it

Beth Ellerby: man, can't believe I really just sat through 17 minutes of Brad telling me I'm poor and I smell bad

Olivia Ganoe: Herbal Essence drastically changed my hair as a drug store hair care user. Definitely reccommend. Thanks for the reveiws Brad!!

noodles: I've used Aussie for years (I'm in the UK) and it's the best shampoo and conditioner I've ever used. The hair masks and oils are amazing too!

Abigail Lallande: Brad, I can’t tell you how helpful you’ve been to me in tough times. I’ve managed to cut my hair, color it, and take care of my hair even when I can’t afford to pay a good stylist what they deserve. You’ve helped me to feel good about myself $$$ or no.

Heather: These were my dream shampoos as a kid. VO5 or white rain is what mom bought. she would also get the stuff from Sally’s that came in a gallon jug for like $5. It smelled like cherry and almonds, I don’t recall the name. But she had 8 kids and half the neighbors kids basically lived with us too.

Ali: me: “FRAGRANCE?!??” also me: “ohhh it’s brad’s channel not hyram’s”

poo cum: I started using that exact herbal essence after I had to deal with excessive dandruff and i have not had a dry scalp since. It doesn't leave any film on my hair either. It's worked great for me.

CeCe Dodo: 1:22 Dove (basic) 2:22 Herbal essences (coconut doesn't let moisture in) 7:00 Tresemme (basic)

BrownEyedGirl1367: A better video might be finding & highlighting “drugstore” products that are most similar to, or “almost as good”, as salon quality products. Share what to look for in products for those on a tight budget. Edited to add: I will often buy the products a stylist has used on my hair if I like the results in the salon, especially if it’s a new to me salon. I generally like the experience with the products once I’m home - for awhile. I think the reason I liked them so much in the salon was a combination of the salon experience and the expertise of the stylist. The products all seem mediocre after a time. Switching products occasionally also seems to be key. When I have a bottle of shampoo that’s half full and I’m looking around for something new, it’s a fail regardless of the price. I’m going to focus more on ingredients from now on to see what’s actually working on MY hair.

lyzeie: I really like the L’Oréal Elvive total repair 5. Interested in seeing more of these comparisons. Put the winner up against even more drugstore options.

Jessica Adams: 6 dollars for shampoo is not cheap. I wish he tried to understand average middle class to low income people before trashing drug store products

Alexis Hedman: I currently have tresemme and redken shampoos in my bathroom. The tresemme works really well, but the redken kind of just acts like normal drug store shampoo. Just because something is labelled as "professional" doesn't always mean it's better...

Steven Adrian: Coconut oil is actually one of the most well studied oil that can actually penetrate deep into your hair shaft and provide the nutrition that your hair needed because it contains a lot of triglycerides and monosaturated lipids.

Karatsukino: I would like to see you do more videos like this, I'm really interested in understanding the difference between drug store and professional brands

Kathleen Wilkinson: Can we talk about how herbal essence has tactile markings for visually impaired or blind people. Cause they are one of the only brands that has something like that.

Kashimba Nguni: All the shampoos he mentioned are actually extremely expensive in my country and are some of the best shampoos you'll ever find in any store

Zee-Z Zee: I recently switched from the giant tresome bottles of shampoo and conditioner to somehting more expencive (but still not salon brand) and man, my hair feels a lot better and is a lot easier to brush

Mily: Hey Brad! I just wanted to say how grateful I'm that u made this video! I'm literally poor and I've been trying to take care of my hair and I've looking for good hair products in the drugstore. And I just wanted to say Thank you!!!

Beth P: I have used all of these shampoo’s and I love them. Scents are actually nice, we don’t all want to smell like a hair salon and we don’t all have stupid amounts of money to waste on expensive brands which make no difference.

TXT GBGB: We usually use Sunsilk, I've always loved it XD, I used Herbal essence once and I loved it, but I felt it was too diluted so I had to use more amount, no wonder it ran out quickly and we went back to Sunsilk. As my experience it didn't dry my hair as much as other shampoos I used too, except Garnier ultra doux (not sure about spelling). So I've been using Ultra doux since the last 3 years trying different types. I can't tell if it helps nourishment but it smells good and it doesn't dry my hair that much. I used pantene and didn't like it, I used dove only once and I don't remember anything lol

Kelly Dee: I would really like him to pair these shampoos with their matching conditioner counterparts and review them as a pair

Lydia Baerbock: I'd love to see a review of cheap conditioners! (Especially as someone with wavy hair. Those of you with wavy/curly hair will understand.)

Luna Zambolin: I remember my hairdresser told me to choose the shampoo with less fragrance because it was the best. All the shampoos with tons of fragrance weren't that good.. I've been using Pantene for years and I think it's the best for my wavy/curly hair.. I tried one from a hairdresser and it made my hair oily...

Mara Moon: All of the brands you have in this video are literally the kinds I can only splurge for every once in a while. I thought these were the fancy kinds. I usually buy the 2 dollar shampoos and cond's. I was raised using the cheap ones and I didn't even get to try Herbal Essence until I was an adult. This video made me realize I should probably check out some other hair products if I ever get rich.

Jessica Carter: I used to think herbal essence was fancy as a child because the packaging was so pretty and fancy looking to me

Braksam & Demiana: this isnt even cheap, bring out the suave 87cent bottles. These were the top notch brands at my house.

sarna.official: I was using Pantene products when I was younger but they changed the formula and my scalp was on fire I honestly think that Garnier has currently the best products- shampoos and conditioners from Hair Food series are gold!

Stacie: Pantene made my hair amazing and long and shiny all my teen years but this new all natural shampoos have made my hair weak and fall out and not as shiny! I never used dove or tresseme tho always seemed so chemical

Violet Sun: Im not gonna stop using Pantene for curly hair any time soon. It smells great, great price. I use the conditioner as a leave in and my mom and I have 3a hair and have been doing this for years. It keeps the curls very moisturized and defined, bouncy, and with no frizz. I get asked a lot how my curls look so healthy.

The "Unacceptable" Yasminni: I've been using Dove products for a long time. I usually don't use the generic Dove shampoo, I like the one with avocado oil. There are some really nice smelling Dove shampoos out there. Also, their conditioner is pretty good also. In my country is brand is of the more expensive ones you can find in generic stores (if you can even find it)

Jessica *: Anyone remember when getting the rose scented herbal essence was like high class?

BrownEyedGirl1367: I’m older than many (most?) of those here, so I have a perspective on how things have changed. In college Herbal Essence was uber popular, mostly because of the green, herbal scent. They’ve ditched that. As a young person after college I treated myself to Pantene Thickening Shampoo. At the time, it was only available in salons or high end department stores. It was expensive for me at the time. At some point, Pantene was bought & sold, and the products changed drastically. I moved on to Klorane, again, available only in a couple of places. It’s no longer possible to be brand loyal, for the most part. One has to research ingredients and follow the buying & selling of companies. It’s not always easy to track the changes in ingredients or company policies. It’s a lot of work for a shampoo & conditioner, but it really is the same for most consumables these days.

crazy4beatles: They discontinued my preferred L'Oreal shampoo. I tried 3 different ones - paraben free and my hair gets so greasy and feels scummy. So hard to find any of these drug store shampoos that are not paraben free anymore so I just went with a clarifying Vo5 dollar store bottle.

ThugLife555555: I've been using Pantene conditioner for damaged hair for months and I am very satisfied, I wouldn't change it.

Jorie Thomas: This is why even though I'm lower income, I do not go cheap on my hair products. I buy professional but luckily I only wash my hair once or twice a week and don't use a lot of shampoo since I'm washing my scalp, not my ends. I really wish he'd do a video on salon brand and do a comparison.

contemplativegirl21: I understand what Brad means by, "cheap," considering how expensive salon brands are. That said, would love Brad to do a video on the like $1 brands i.e., Vo5, Suave, White Rain, etc.

gabs skates: I love my herbal essence shampoo smell!! I had the strawberry and mint one and it was a+ on the smell factor. Also, sidenote in Australia where I live Herbal essence is often cheaper then the other ones lol

Mandy Weed: I would love to see more of these and maybe going into more higher end as well. I have googled a lot and it's hard to find which ingredients are good for ur hair. Thank u!!!! Love ur stuff

Liz Xu: I wanna see a video of him trying to pair up hair models with the shampoos they used...I wanna see if he can actually tell on hair on a real human. Also I want to see the end result of a full hair transformation using only cheap brands vs expensive brands

Laura Forrester: It would be really cool to see you do drugstore brands, shampoo and conditioner on a hair strand and then rinsed with running water instead of in a bowl of soapy water. Also it would be so good to know what ingredients to avoid in haircare products

Genegua: Me: $5.99?!?? For that small bottle?!?!?! That’s kinda expensive Brad: I’ve never seen a shampoo that cheap! Me: Also to let y’all know so you can save some MONEY!!! At BJs they sell that same Herbal Essence one for $7.99 and it’s 40oz!!!

LC TV: Brad!! Give us the CHEAP shampoos! - suave - Walmart brand (equate) - vo5 (can grab at dollar store) - white rain I'm talking c h e a p cheap. Let's keep this list going!

Talooon: Herbal essence is my favorite expensive shampoo I buy the ones from the dollar store and couldn't imagine the review they would get lol

Emily Mercer: Dude I remember when herbal essences was all the rage when I was 5 and my 10 yr older sister used it with her friends like it was salon quality. It was in our bathroom throughout my entire childhood and I still go back to it once in a while for mainly nostalgia

lilyandpad: I used to use dove for years because I loved it, and the scent was the best. They changed their formula last year and it’s disappointing :( my hair feels dry and stringy now as opposed to it being soft

Alessandra: I actually love pantene shampoo!!! I feel like my hair are softer and don’t get dirty as soon as usual. I get this result only when the hairdresser washes my hair

Kimberlee: It also depends on what you're doing to your hair. My mom has used nothing but V05 for decades, and her hair is thick, shiny, and gorgeous BUT she also doesn't blow-dry or iron or bleach or perm her hair. If you're doing damage to your hair on a regular basis, you must invest in high quality products to keep it healthy. You wouldn't buy a Ferrari and polish it with something from the Dollar Store; your hair is just as special!

Cianna Coleman: I don’t like the Herbal Essence he tested as much but it is ok. I love the grapefruit and mint though, especially paired with ACV once every week or two in place of conditioner. I was able to go from three washes a week to two with this shampoo and my hair is so happy

Emily Frasier: First of all, I love the “that’s your cue!” Such a mood lol second of all, you don’t have to dig very deep to discover that he absolutely does not like scent and third of all I already love his assistant lol

Carolyn Bernier: Would love to see more extensive list of brands like you did with the dry shampoos! Would also love to see you talk about luxury brands, and finding similar cheaper alternatives! Also, want to hear u talk about your own brands!

raffellisenzaa: Is there one person that ACTUALLY got better results with a professional shampoo rather than a drugstore's one? Cause I don't

h i: Wait Pantene is a drugstore cheap shampoo? I’ve been using it my whole life lol

Farah Sharghi: Would you do a round 2 with Mane, Tail & Hair? There are some classic shampoos out there!

Oklahoma Proud: We need a part two with Aussie, Garnier, Head & Shoulders, and Suave!

Gothski: I've used two of these shampoos (with their counterpart conditioners) in the past, by the time I'm at the end of the bottle my hair was dry, split and dull! At the time my hair came down to my bum, and it took a lot of shampoo switching to find a cheap brand that didn't trash my hair, I've used Aussie for some time now and it still leaves my hair looking fabulous without breaking the bank (though I no longer have long hair, I went from ass long boring to a wide mohawk, originally cut to about 6 inches but now wear it a lot shorter my hairdresser had a lot of fun cutting it all off!)

Amy Bourget: My husband has long hair and has always used Pantene and his hair looks amazing. It’s super soft and shiny and he refuses to use anything else. It all depends what works for you. I wish I could show you how gorgeous his hair is. He is 54 and his hair is gorgeous.

Techna Colors: All we could afford sometimes was dollar store shampoo, and we had natural textured hair. I didn't realize why my hair sucked so much till I got internet and discovered that hair care isn't a one size fits all!

rockerkittie1: That exact herbal essence is the only one so far that works with my hair. Glad it won for this video.

Candy Aguilar: I found it funny that he didn’t actually try it on his hair like: “I’ve never used cheap shampoo and I’m not gonna start now”

mala3isity: The original Dove white soap bar has been around since at least 1968 (I fell in love with it when it scented my gram's bathroom). At the beginning their spin-off products smelled like the white bar since it was so loved.

cotu delaye: I love the fact that- where I live- these shampoos are actually the expensive ones and kind of higher class

Jennifer Schikowsky: I used herbal for year and it made my scalp worse. I found out I had an allergic reaction and developed sep derm. I began to experience tellogien effluvium. I switched to aveda, and used essential oils, tea tree oil and coconut oil to bring my hair back. It took 2 years to grow my hair back.

Jiggly Puff: "It wont make your hair fall out" Theres actually lawsuits against tresemme now for that

clayslefthand: The confidence that I get when Brad says “Hey beautiful” is just the absolute best

Hang Nguyen: 10+ years ago Suave clarifying shampoo work like magic ...for $3! After they changed the formula I’m stuck with expensive arse bumble & bumble Sunday clarifying a whooping $34.

Wendy: Petition to do all the cheap shampoos that you can Brad

BehindTheScenes WithJenn: You know what i would love to see Brad do, test out the Essano range you can get from the shops. And see which one he thinks is best for your hair.

Aimee Dacosta: You make me have higher standards for my hair. Thank you for opening my eyes.

Madinson Nunez: More products for part two 1- OGX 2-AUSSIE 3- SUAVE 4- whole blends 5 Shea moisture (for our curly haired) 6- love beauty and planet

Angie C: I go through too much shampoo and it doesn't stay on my hair long enough for me to invest in, I spend more on my oils, protectors, and masks. Also I'm low key salty that Herbal redid their whole line, their old formulation of blue shampoo and conditioner was actually superior. I've used it my whole life because it was what my mom always used and now I don't know what to do about not having my go to conditioner!

Hailey Grimmius: I used Tresemme for Years then I switched to Herbal Essence after I borrowed another girls shampoo after PE and I wanted to try something new. It improved my hair IMMENSELY. Ive never gone back.

AlyssaJames: All of these are so terrible for my hair!!!! I had a consultation at a salon and was told I needed a lot more moisture in my hair, so I was given a new shampoo and conditioner called designline, I have never heard of it but we shall see how this goes. If I don't like it, I was thinking about trying pureology shampoo and conditioner.

Jessica McLaren: Been using Herbal Essences for years! My fave! I usually use the orange one! Cant stop playing with my hair after a shower!!

Jessica Johnson: Well you can tell he has definitely lived a different life then some of us!! Literally Pantene and herbal essence was like getting gold for your hair back in the day when you used 79 cent VO5 if anyone even remembers that!!

Elena White: Please do more of these!!

Ally Waite: Cheap for me was like Suave. I use tresseme and the color vitalizing one I use for my blue hair was only 3.99

alicia: my family has always bought the expensive shampoos and conditioners, always over $20 and such.. but I’ve never liked them. when I go to my grandma’s house she uses Pantene, which I loved and the shampoo and conditioner in one worked better for me than a month of whatever I used at home.

Sasha: I like the dove one a lot! I was surprised by the price and how well it works for me.

Clare White: We used Herbal Essences all the time when I was a kid! Nowadays I make my own shampoos and conditioners with ingredients like cocamidopropyl betaine, behentrimonium methosulfate, hydrolyzed proteins, glycerin, dimethicone, vegetable keratin, camellia seed oil, flower and fruit hydrosols, PANTHENOL PANTHENOL PANTHENOL, and I could go on forever about all the goodness!

Cutessa Vlogs: All these shampoos from drugstore to high end salons, I've tried them all and it all really comes down to what you eat and making sure you drink your vitamins and also if you have good hair genes. A lot of women suffer from thyroid problems or anemia and they have no idea that they suffer from it, I myself suffer from both and suggest you get your lab work done so you can get meds for it, eat well and you will see the difference. ❤

liffty XD: Y'all gotta remember that he's a licensed professional so he know what's good and bad for your scalp and hair, lets be honest compared to professional products these are worse and can actually be harmful. If you wanna use them then go and if they work for you excellent everyone has a different hair type maybe some products don't work, I myself use dove ( the brown one for frizzy hair and oil control) I use it because the scent is different from their other shampoo, I find it smelling better and less stronger but still stays on throughout the day and it does a decent job cleaning and making my hair healthy. I night try the herbal resemblance he said it's the best amongst the bunch

raya ❤: Brad should do the Garnier Whole Blends in a pt 2 they're so good and their pretty cheap :)

Elicia: I thought I was being spoiled when my mom got me Pantene

Angeline Biswas: I love how the treaseme bottle says “used by professionals “ hahaha treaseme is one of the number one brands pros say to stay away from. Marketing at its finest
