How To Curl Your Human Hair Topper Or Wig

All right, ladies, I am going to show you how to curl your topper. I am actually sitting on my knees on the floor because I have my camera set up for the wig stand behind me. So I'm down here so I could actually talk to you. So I'm gon na show you first what I start with. It is called smooth criminal'. It is a heat protectant spray, any heat, protectant spray will work, so this has just happens to be the one I got the other day, but I use whatever I'm not particular to any any particular brand. This is my curling iron. It doubles as a curling wand or you can use it as a regular curling iron. With the clip thing, this one has the temperature on it. I try to go with the lowest temperature possible, so this one is three hot to lowest is 300. I go with 300, I feel, like that's still a little too high for my liking, but it's the lowest it has. So basically, I go with the lowest temperature that will do the curl, because you don't want to damage the hair. The heat protectant spray will help for sure, but you just want to do as little heat as possible. So if you have only like a it has low medium or high, I would probably do start with low see if it'll hold the curl. If it doesn't go with the media, you know, like I said: if it has a temperature on it, like mine, does go with. I usually try to do to 80. This one has 300, so I going 300 and then I'm going to show you how I hold my topper onto the wig head. These are called t pins. They are made that you know you can hold your wigs and toppers on the wig head. So let me stand up: Oh yeah, I already curled half of it, so so the clips in here I do not stick the pins through the cap. What I do is I take where the clip is put one of them down and I'm gon na try to show you the best. I can I stick it through the clip. So, under the you know, between the fabric and the clip there, so it's through the clip which is not going to hurt it, of course - and I take it on here - and I've got just the styrofoam head on a stand and and stick it in there same Thing through the other side, now you can use styrofoam head is fine, they're, very inexpensive. I think at the beauty supply store they're like three bucks. I got my stand off see if I get showed you it's just the floor stand and the head goes right on it. It'S got a place for the wig head to go on and I got my stand off Amazon for maybe 20 bucks is they're not expensive. At all - and I highly recommend them if you have a regular talk or wig thing we're, and you want to style, it is definitely worth investing and investing in that you find out real quick that it is not easy to style without something to put it on. You can, do it honest, you can style it while it's on your head, but I don't really recommend that and the reason is its it can pull on your hair. So imagine you know I've got my top are on and imagine me trying to style and curl. It it's those clips are pulling, so you know you can do it a pinch, but I is you know if you want to blend your bio hair with the topper. Maybe do a few curls, but don't really recommend styling it on your head. You know the whole thing all right, so I've already sprayed the other side because it's curl, of course, but I just do a couple quick sprays and do a little bit underneath do that. Let it get in there take a little bit here and wrap it up. Pull the hair down, I want to get all his hair, so we make sure it's all getting. You'Ve got a nice bouncy room so that I'll just go onto the next section and I don't have any rhyme or reason to it. I just take a little section and purl it. I typically go back, so I curl away from the face on either side until I meet in the middle in the back. Another nice, like the curl in front away, so kind of hope, sits down at your face. A little bit I can just go back and forth hold it for a second and of course, it depends on your heat, if mine's pretty hot, so I just hold it for for just a minute. I just hold it for just a couple seconds. They don't want to burn the hair that one you can see about how wide the sections are that I do and it depends on the sides of your curling iron as well hold it. Maybe you know three to five seconds somewhere in there do one more you can see the nice bouncy curls there. So what I like to do, I'm gon na go ahead and stop so I can just talk. Of course, I got to finish the back, but I like to do is I will curl my topper and then I'll just kind of let it stay there for the day or overnight and then brush it in the morning and that just helps to hold the curl Longer your curls should stay anywhere from a week to two depending on humidity in your area and that kind of thing, but once it's curled it should stay curled for quite a while. You know the curls will drop a little bit. They'Ll droop but it'll still be wavy, probably until you wash it the next time, though, all right, I hope that helps thanks a lot.
