How to cut clip-in, hair extensions or any hair extension for that matter? I like to first start by cutting it off the hair, and this is really helpful for people who are nervous about cutting their own hair. I use the Slither cutting technique going down the length of the hair opening and closing the scissors not fully, but enough to create layers in the hair working on each section and removing enough bulk, so that the hair extension isn't too heavy. I then like to go and put it on and just customize this making sure I see where my natural hair is and creating layers that blend to the natural hair. So there's a nice transition. If you're worried that you can't do Slither cutting using a thinning shears is much easier for a beginner. The majority of the cut done off the head, just holding the extensions, makes it less risky for cutting your own hair, follow for more beauty, skin hair and anti-aging tips see you next time.
