Hey you guys, mckenzie here, and i want to show you how i like to prep my extensions before i go to bed at night. First thing: you're going to do is brush your hair. Now i'm wearing one row of ibe, so what i have to make sure that i do is i comb the hair that is underneath and the hair that is on top oftentimes. We just brush up here and under here, gets neglected. So this is underneath my row. I like to lift up my row and make sure that i am brushing my natural hair underneath and i do this all the way around. Okay, once you get the hair underneath your row, you're going to separate out and you're going to make sure you get the hair on top of your row now. This is something that often with hand-tied extensions is difficult to do and we see clients go like this and they brush right over the top of that row. Don'T do that! Okay, you're going to want to hold on to the top of that weft line. I like to place my pinky on top and then i get up as close as i can, and then i brush, but you don't want to brush over the top of that row. It'Ll start to pull those loops out, and your extensions will not last as long as they could so again hold against your head, give it something to brace for and when you're wearing 22 to 24's, then you've got two times the length that i am wearing right. Now this becomes very, very important right now, i'm wearing like a 14 inch extension. Okay, then, what i like to do is i like to apply a serum before i go to bed at night. You guys know goldilocks, signature. Serum is the only thing that i will use i'm going to apply about five pumps. I'Ll run this through my hands like this, and then i just start to pull it through the mids and the ends do not neglect the hair around your face, even though we know this is an extension hair. This is often what is hit with heat the most. It'S more fragile. This needs the hydration and barrier protection that the serum will give you. Okay, once i have that serum pulled through, i like to loosely just part, my hair down the middle, and i'm going to put it in a braid before i go to bed at night. This becomes imperative again when you're wearing a lot of rose and a lot of length, but i still like to do it at this length because it helps preserve my curls as well. I'M going to show you how i like to do my braids. I actually do a rope braid first and then i break it down into a three three-strand braid. I feel like this kind of a rope. Braid helps me to preserve a wave instead of a kink. Sometimes, if you braid right here, you get a little bit of a kinky look the next morning and that's not what i'm going for. So you can see. I am just sectioning out and i'm adding it to and then i'll rotate okay. So it's kind of like a french braid, take this section add to the bottom, and then i rotate, you see how i did that there boom, and i do that until i have about three equal strands. Okay, this is what i have that's remaining. These are the two strands that i have been rope braiding with now, when i get to this part. I just do your typical three strand braid, and this continues that wave. Now, if you want to do it tight, you're going to have a tighter bend in your hair in the morning, if you want to keep this super loose, then you'll have more of a looser wave. When you wake up working my three strands and braiding those down just like, i would a typical three strand braid, it doesn't have to be tight. This is gon na keep your hair protected. It'S gon na make sure that you're not rolling around on it through the night and keeping it from getting matted always keep a rubber band around your wrist. You never know when you're gon na need it. Okay, you can see what i did there. It'S actually kind of cute. You can wear this during the day as well to preserve your style, but this is what i like to do and then i'll go ahead and do it on the other side, oh okay, so i have both braids going down now again. This is how i like to sleep. It keeps my hair out of the way. My second tip is to make sure you are using a silk pillowcase. If you are not. Even if you don't wear extensions, you are missing out tomorrow morning, i'll pull these out and my hair will be nice and fresh and look like. I spent all the time waving it. When i didn't you
