Am I Going Bald From Tape In Hair Extensions?

Hi, you guys, i know it's been a while again, i'm in a different place right now, i'm in south carolina in my friend's house, and i apologize if the sound is bad, because once again, i'm filming on my phone. I hope you guys had a great presidents day weekend, i'm having a great presents with a weekend too and, as you can see, i have dark hair right now. Obviously, if you have been following me on my social media, you didn't know that because i still haven't been posting on my buzz gow instagram, but soon enough i will start posting again. I think i'm good to start, but embarrassingly enough embarrassingly enough, i actually don't know where the password is so i swapped phones i crossed to the apple world. I have an iphone now and um. I don't know where the login for my boscow instagram is at, but i will try to figure it out this week. This video today, i want to talk to you guys about a girl thing. So if you were a boy, i'm sorry, this video is probably not for you but um. It'S about my hair, if you guys have been following me for a while. You probably already know that this is not my real hair. This are extensions and i have had the really really blond extensions for the past. I don't know year no, not the extensions but the hair blonde hair. I have had my blonde hair for a while, maybe more than a year, a lot more than a year. Let'S recap this probably three or four years but anyways. Besides that, it's getting lighter and lighter and lighter. So in the past i think seven or eight months or even a year. I have had like really blonde to white hair and in the past six months i was going totally white. However, in this past six months that i was completely white-haired, i started using hair extensions and i i like them, like i love having long hair, i have never had long hair in my life. This long like if you've seen my videos back in the day. Those are like the longest hair i've ever had so once i started wearing this, i loved it, but here's the reason why i wanted to make this video, if you are thinking about doing extensions, pay attention to this, because i have very thin and fine hair and So i did some research to try to see what was the best kind of hair extensions for fine hair and thin hair um. I don't have that much hair, i literally, if you have like my whole, entire head of hair could be somebody's bangs like this amount of hair right here would be my whole entire hair on my head um. If i didn't have the extensions this is it um and then i have like a little more because of the extensions, but that's not the point. The point is, i try to look into there's a a very a variety, a plethora of styles, of putting these extensions on. You have tape ends. You have like little beads you have like so on. You have like weft, there's so many um, the one that most of the hairstylists or the extension people and the videos that i watched said that the best ones were the tape ends. So those are the ones that i was wearing. However, i have no hair anymore. Like my hair is gone. My hair was when i started using the extensions about right here, yeah about here now, my hair, i'm gon na, take this off look at this now. This is my hair in the front. If i didn't have extensions right, this is how long my hair is in the front and in the back this is it now i'm going to explain to you why? Because my hair was so blonde, it was breaking with the extensions as well as when i was brushing also because i have fine hair. I don't know if you guys can see it, but my hair is very, very thin. It'S really thin, like it's very fragile hair and allegedly most of the videos that i watched when you are wearing these tape in extensions because they go in like a little sandwich. You have one extension here, one extension here and a little tape and you tape them together, and then you have like a little like a little bit of hair, so you're sandwiching your hair in between two extensions like this, and so they are like sandwiching, your own Hair so allegedly that would be helpful for your hair to grow, but because my hair was so blonde and so fried my hair actually was breaking. Sometimes i would get into the tape. I don't know if i can show you guys the tape right now, but i have the tape around it's just so black, i'm sorry, but um here you see here. This is a tape, ah right here. So this little tape right here is sandwiching a little bit of hair. I don't know if you guys could see it, because i i don't have viewfinder right now, but allegedly because it's sandwiched, it's protecting the hair that isn't there because you're not washing a lot. You are protecting from the sun and they're protecting from the products and the heat and whatnot, but for me that little piece of tape over there would be just blocking my hair, because my hair was so brittle um. At some point i actually wanted to make a video for you guys, but i don't have time to add it. But back here i had to start cutting the tapes in half because the tapes were like about this big and i was cutting them in half because they were grabbing so much hair and they were yanking. My hair and at some point i had bald spots in the back, and there is something that you need to pay attention to. That'S called tension, alopecia, which is you're, putting so much tension on your hair follicles. With these extensions, if you put too much hair too heavy and things like that - that it will pull your hair out and you won't grow anymore because you're pulling out follicles - and i don't know the science of air, so i'm not going to try to explain it To you, but when i saw these two bald spots in the back of my head, i started freaking out when i went to put this hair on the lady told me that the hair over there is growing. So i am hopeful that i don't have the traction. Alopecia thing, but it's something to keep in mind, especially if you're somebody who has very thin hair, you're thinking on using hair extensions um. If you are thinking about trying to tape in hair extensions, i would tell you, if you have thin hair like me, to be prepared to be okay, having short hair eventually, because, as i said, you might not protect as much if you have thin hair. Like me, i am using now darker because i want to see if my hair is actually going to grow darker. That'S why my hair is darker right now, i'm doing like an experiment. So this is experimentation, but i will i will go back to blonde at some point or maybe, if the extensions actually let my hair grow, i'm just gon na do an ombre, i'm gon na keep dark here and i'm gon na have lighter bottom extensions. These extensions i purchased them and they were wrong. They were supposed to be white kind of like what my hair used to be, and then i was gon na just have like my roots and whatnot, i'm just getting too girly here, i'm so sorry. But let's move on to talk about the extension quality, be careful with the extensions that you wear. I have bought extensions uh for a while now from this company called full shine, their hair is pretty good. It lasts very long as long as i put oils every night on them, because this is dead hair. This is not live hair. If you don't take care of it. If you don't put oil in it, it will die well, it's already dead, but you will get like really brittle and you will get like really really tangly and you will. It will not be okay, you're, just just going to be brushing and it's going to be. Breaking everywhere and you just it's just horrible, so the uh foo shine company, the one that i get this hair from it's uh, remy uh human hair. So i think it's like a little bit of human hair and a little bit of like synthetic hair. But it feels really nice and it does not look fake at all. It looks pretty good and as long as i put the oils in it, it lasts very nice. I do not use calms all the time, at least for the top. I have something that's called um, not there's no name for it, but i have a um, a brush that i just put it on amazon, like extensions brush and the brush. Actually, instead of just being like the little, the little teeth is loops, so they don't get caught on on the tracks or on your on your tape and they're. Pretty good. A lot of people think that it's just too light to um detangle, but i just detangle with a big um, a big calm in the bottom, and then i do the brushing on the top with the extension brush with the loops instead of just the little um. Let'S go get it, i guess. Oh it's going to be dirty, but i can show it to you guys. Let'S go get it. I like to walk around this house, i'm going to take you guys to the other bathroom and then we can see the brush. Oh there's, okay anyway, but yeah, so it's dark in here, i'm! So sorry! I was not intending to come to the bathroom, but okay, here it is. This is the brush. I'M sorry! I apologize. There is a lot of blonde hair in there, but you see how it's loops, instead of like um teeth, and so when you brush it, it does not get stuck on the. As my friend says the tracks, it just goes right by it. So it does not pull, it does not pull much hair, but i do use oils in it uh. Most of the time i use like this moroccan sleek moroccan sleek oil treatment. I purchased myself. I am a small youtuber, so i'm not at all uh being sponsored by anybody, but i also i try to have like as many oils as i can to put on them. But what i wanted to do with this video was just to tell you guys, especially the girls. I don't know if men like using extensions, but if you are interested in using extensions for your hair and you are watching these youtube videos saying like oh yeah, i know the taping extensions, it's gon na grow and it's gon na protect your hair and whatnot. Just make sure that you know what kind of hair you have, because if you have thin hair like me, you are probably going to have breakage like i did, especially if you were dyeing your hair, like i dyed my hair. So let me know if you use these taping extensions and your hair actually grown, because i lost hope. I have a bunch of baby hairs back here, um that i'm trying to see if it's gon na grow look all of my hair is so broken in the back. Look at this, it's beautiful, i don't know if you guys can see it very well, but this is all my hair. That'S broke like that's it. This is it. So if i see that my hair does not grow and i still keep losing hair wearing my extensions, i am going to actually have to rock a little pixie cut or something like that, because i don't know what else to do uh. This is like my my trial, because i'm really afraid of like having them on for so long and get like trash and alopecia and go bald, but hopefully that's not gon na happen. Um yeah. This is my video. I just wanted to talk about. What'S going on with my hair because um yeah it's dark, i am feeling really weird because i haven't had my hair dark like this in so many years, but um. I hope i hope i get used to it and um i'm gon na go to brazil in june. So if you guys want me to film something over there, let me know, but if you have any questions about the tape in hair extensions, i can answer it to you guys down in the comments just ask, because i've been wearing them for a good while for At least six months now - and this is the second different color type - that i'm wearing i've worn like really blonde - and now this ones - and hopefully i'm gon na change them before i go to brazil into like uh ombre, dark to white kind of like ombre hair. But we'll see how it's gon na go, because this color was actually the wrong one uh they sent me. It was what i wanted, but this was supposed to be ash blonde, like white, and it was supposed to be all the way up here. So i don't know if you guys can see it, but it's all the way down here. So it's it's just it's just not good, but i talked to the to the people from foo shine and they actually sending me new ones and they try to match as much as possible with a picture of my purchase. So thank you for shine for doing that. Again, not sponsored i paid for my hair and they actually when they send you the hair, they send you a little lifetime coupon that you get like 10 discount with one package and then 50 with two packages. So it's pretty nice uh they're worth it like they're, not too too expensive. This package of hair cost me like sixty dollars and then to put the hair on because the color didn't match. It cost me more than two hundred dollars, but usually the lady that i come here in south carolina to go to. She charges me a hundred dollars to install them plus fifty dollars to take off the old extensions, but i went to amazon and i purchased a like tape remover, so i just did that. The day before here in the house, i just sprayed everything, took it out washed my hair to get out all of the glue, because some of the glue will stay in your hair. It'S kind of weird, but i took everything out and i went over there and if the color of the extension matched correctly, i would have only paid a hundred dollars to install them, but because the color didn't match. I had to do a bunch of other stuff and try to match my hair to it, and so it was a lot more expensive than um i predicted, but it's here and we'll see if it grows. I hope my hair grows now that i'm wearing it, but what i can say the pros from having tape and hair extensions is that you can have this installed within 20 to 30 minutes, depending on how much you want to put in. I only put one package in because i naturally do not have that much hair so because i don't have that much hair. Naturally, i did in the past, put three packages in it: looked very nice and full, but it was really heavy on my hair and it was really strenuous because of how long i want the hair and how much hair i had. I was putting myself at risk for traction alopecia, so i decided to just put one because one looks very natural. It looks close to what my hair density already naturally is, because i don't have that much hair, but still gives me the length that i want it and it does not make my hair heavy. When i had the three packages on my head, i could not have my hair just down it was. It was painful, it would pull on my head, but i had to like just have the hair like this at all times kind of hanging and like alleviating with a little bit of slack back here, because i felt like it was. It was spooling on my head, but with only one package, it's light enough that if it was natural, it looks natural, it kind of looks like it's just my hair, it's great and um. The other pro is that i can have the hair like styles, that i want whenever i do my little curls, because the hair is dead, it stays. I have to do my hair and do whatever styles i want, and you will stay it's not like our own hair that when it's clean, you do something like this and it goes away now it will stay and it will obey you um and that's a cool Thing about having these extensions also, the extensions are pretty easy to wash because they're tapings um, you don't see them much, but you do have to make sure that you put them in a strategic way. If you want to do a high ponytail, because they will kind of show, if your pony, if they're all like facing down all the tapes, when you put your your hair on a ponytail, they will protrude on the sides. But if you have them strategically put you can just you know, while the ladies putting them on them on your head, they can like just try around and see a way that you can have your hair up because of my military duty. I have to have my hair up on a high ponytail or on a bun. It can't be low, so i needed to have that in consideration as well as, if you don't have that consideration in your life, you can just put a normal and then you just do a little ponytail and then you should be good um during the night. I need to put it on um a little ponytail a little ponytail like this, because i don't want to be like brushing this all the time. As i said, you have to put oil in it, so it doesn't break all the time and it doesn't get like dead, dead and dry, but also i don't want to be brushing it, because that will break it too. If you take care of them well, they could last about a year, and these are not even like the professional ones that you have to be a hair stylist to buy it. These are full shine. You can buy it on amazon, it's a company called full shrine. I am not sponsored, but if you want to look for a starter hair that is affordable and um and looks pretty close to like real hair, i think that it's a blend of real hair, i'm not sure they claim it's real hair, but i'm not gon na Say it is because it doesn't feel like all of it is real, but this one is pretty close to a very good quality and um, and if you take care of it, it's it's pretty good compared to other hairs that i've done uh used on my head. This is pretty nice and the cons, as i said, is um. It broke my hair a lot and it does itch your head once it grows a certain distance, the taping, the little tapes will start bothering your scalp and it gets itchy. But when that time comes, i start taking out the ones that bother me the most, but because my hair was blonde every time it grew a little bit with my dark root. You could see the line but because my hair is dark now i don't know how it's gon na be. I don't know if it's going to be just invisible because everything is dark. Hopefully, that's what it is and if it is it's going to be great, i'm just going to leave it as long as i can, because i do want to see if my hair is going to grow and if it does i'm going to make a update video For you guys, so you guys can see my hair grown if it grown.
