Hey welcome back welcome if you're new, so in this video i'm going to be sharing my natural hair care routine on my sister's head, i'm just going to take you guys through my how i take care of my hair generally and how i have my hair on The mickey jab right, let's get started so the first thing i do. I separate i um parts, the hair into two, and so i can have like two equal. Well, not equal, more yeah just get two separate parts and um. I'M gon na put that aside. For now and just focus on one side, so now i'm gon na tackle the side of the head. I like to work in smaller sections because um i don't want to be working through the scalp. I want to make sure that i'm taking my time and um yeah, so i clip that away. I'M going to be using my diy detangler, it's basically flaccid gel with aloe vera gel and some oils just mixed together. This diy product is actually great for detangling hair because it has so much slip like it's just. It makes it so easy to get through your tangles and your coils and everything else like it just gets out the shedded head so easily, plus the ingredients for both hair growth and the quality of one's hair. So i'm just gon na gently finger detangle the hair. When i'm squeezing the product in i'm gon na make sure i'm trying to make sure that i get all the shedded hair out and get all the tangles out as well, which is why i'm working i'm working in very small sections, because i don't want to work In big sections and not be able to get all the tangles and shaded hair out, i'm going to come across a very stubborn knot. I swear that. I'M not like this used to call used to cause me frustration, but i learned how to tackle things like this. From easy, mimi's video she bit what she does you basically like pull the top, and then you try to slide like hair strands from the bottom, so you pull the top and then slide pull slide so yeah. I just tried to finger detangle. First guess much hair um shedded hair out after that i like to go in with a wide tooth comb just to make sure i'm actually getting all of the tangles out and also um, if there's any build up on the hair. This wide tooth comb really helps me to get everything off the hair. I tend to alternate between the white tooth comb and this shampoo brush. It ensures that the hair absorbs the product really nicely, and it also just kind of like makes the hair really smooth. In my opinion, i feel like it really helps to like um. It does a better job at making the hair tangle free. Look at that once i'm done detangling that section i go ahead and give it like a really loose um twist. I'M gon na do the same thing for the rest of the head and then just shampoo you guys will see, but before i go and do that i'm just gon na, let you guys see how i detangle it one more time without me talking all right. So once we're done, um detangling, all the hair and putting putting them in twist, i go ahead and use my satin scrunchie to put in one bun, and i give her a really good scarf massage. You want to make sure you massage all that goodness onto your skull because cut scalp, because this treatment is not only good for your hair strands, but it's also very good for your scalp if you suffer from excessive itchiness or dandruff or dryness on your scalp. This treatment is the one for you. I promise you yeah and give the baby hair some love to you once that's done. I go ahead and pour a plastic up or a shower cap on top of it, and then we're gon na we're gon na steam. This for about 20 minutes, i think, listen. We would adjust me for. However long we can, because we didn't check the time and then it's shampoo time to shampoo this hair. I smoke down. It looks so freaking long because we couldn't find the right angle to film. It but anyway, we just put the shampoo onto the scalp and just massage it in and then, as we wash it off, of course, the water, the shampoo, would go on the actual hair strands, but yeah. This is basically what we did, but um yeah after that, it's deep conditioning time. You want to make sure you use a cotton when the hair is wet. I know it's very conflicting. You can't use cutting in your hair. You have to use stick oak, but when your hair is wet, you can use cutting to drain out the water, a soft cutting material. However, when your hair is dry after styling, that's when you have to use the satin also, you cannot use cotton to deep condition. The hair i take down one twist at a time and make sure it's um, so i take down one twist and then i put the tip conditioner on the hair strands, not the scalp, i'm not going to clog my pores with this good conditioner. No i'm putting the deep conditioner on the hair strands, not the scalp, so i put the deep conditioner. The hair strand finger detangle a little bit a little bit because the hair is already detangling away and i twist it up and that's it guys so simple. I do this for every single twist on the hair and then yeah put them back in the bun and then we're going to be steaming this again for another 30 minutes, but i think my sister probably did a workout on this day, so we didn't really have To steam it because when you work out anywhere your hair, like you, get that body heat and that goes onto your um head, so yeah, my sister just can like put it into a plastic cap, and then she did. She worked out for a bit, and that was good enough for her hair. So now we've rinsed out the deep conditioner of the hair and we're going to make sure that it's not dripping wet. Okay, i just wanted it to be damp. I go ahead and oil. The scalp, with my diy oil blend just oil scalp and give a good massage for today we are going to be doing the banding method to stretch out the hair a little bit before we put it into protective style, so i'm trying to suck out the water. The tap water from the hair, so i can put in my diy living conditioner, which is basically fenugreek seeds, water and aloe vera, aloe vera juice, with some essential oils. I'Ve got a video on this. If you want to see just you know, check down, so i spritz the spray in the hair strands and squeeze while squeezing it making sure all that moisture is going in, and i lock in all that moisture with my diy shea butter mix, i will be having The new video on how to do like a whipped cheer butter, but then this time it's going to be special because i'll be adding amazing powders in this shea water mix, which i've never done before by the way so yeah watch out. For that video, i love to saturate the hair, especially when it comes to the baby hair with a lot of shea butter, because they tend to lose moisture so easy yeah. They tend to get dry so quickly and then it starts to break out. Which is why i love to make sure that they're saturated with enough moisture so after sprinkling i like to make sure that it's it has enough shea butter on it. So whatever it's rubbing against is not going to pull out all the moisture. I mean, of course, sometimes you would have to you know, go back in and just remoisturize but yeah. I just do a lot this day and then we're going to we're going to be wrapping the hair with the thread just to make sure it's stretched out a little bit. I also add some shea water on my thread because it's not very gentle on the hair, but with the shea butter on it, it lubricates the the um the wool and that's that becomes gentle on the hair yeah. I do that and then i just wrap it around my hair, the hair. So essentially, what we're trying to do here is just to get rid of most of the definition on the hair strands. So i don't want no quails. I don't want no cows. Okay, i want the hair to be a little bit stretched. Of course it's not blow dry, so it's not going to be completely stretched, but i will get some sort of stretching going on. You guys see the end result anyway to do the banding method. What you're doing essentially is just like you're twisting the hair, but with the the wool so you're twisting the hair, the actual hair and the wall. So it's like normal twisting, but then you're wrapping the wool around the hair strands just make sure it's very tight by the way, just make sure make sure it's tight on like on the length of the of the hair. But when you are at the bottom, when you start it make sure it's not very tight because um, you don't want to, you know, cause any sort of like tension on your scalp and then that's gon na cause headache. And then you can possibly, you know end up end up causing more shedding yeah. We don't want that. We don't want that so yeah just be gentle at the beginning, make it loose at the beginning and then, when you're going down, make it like tight see. I keep checking just to make sure that it's not too tight on the scalp. I love to put extra moisture on the ends because you know that's where, like those are the oldest okay, the ends are the oldest on your hair. Remember they've been dead, they've been through the scalp they've been there for you for like how many years maybe like. I think she started a hair journey like three years ago. I think i'm not really sure but yeah they've been there for a very long time. So they're, the oldest and they're like the weakest as well. The ends are the oldest and the weakest, so you have to make weakest weakest. Oh, my god, i can't speak but yeah, and you have to make sure that you give it extra moisture when it comes to the empty. I just make sure i just i just i just make sure it's well lubricated, when i'm twisting and when i'm putting in protective styles, because they tend to lose moisture so quick. They tend to like be very thirsty. So you have to, you know, overload it's not overloaded, but yeah. You know what i mean right so after wrapping that, towards the end, once you're done wrapping all the wool around the hair strands. I like to come back in the middle. I like to wrap it back and come back to the middle and i'll make a knot there. We go make a knot in the middle. I make two knots. I made one okay, i guess it was tight enough so yeah, that's it we're going to do the rest of the head right, i'm just going to talk through and demonstrate um how it's done one more time before i move on. So what i do i hold the hair and the thread at the bottom and try to wrap it, like you know, do multiple wraps on that at the bottom. Just make sure it's secure. Once i feel like it's strong and secure enough, i will go ahead and wrap the rest of the thread on the actual on the length of the hair uh. So i ran out of thread. So what i'm going to do? I'M just going to get another extra piece and just attach it to the other one and make it tight and secure and just carry on banding the hair all right. So now i'm just going to show you guys how i tend to have this onto my hijab. Sometimes, when i'm being lazy, i don't want to take it off. I use this um cap. Well, it has um sick, soak, satin. Underneath look at that perfect for hijabis. However, why actually meets with your edges? It'S not um satin, it's actually cotton. So it's a bit problematic, so what i tend to do, i would usually put like um bandana or silk bandana, underneath where my scalp or my edges are but yeah. I only like do this when i'm being lazy to take out the thread from my hair. The problem is that when you do this, while you've got that thread on your hair, it kind of makes it bumpy because the big pieces in it so yeah - i mean it, looks decent. But, as you can see, it's the there are bombs on top of the head so like it's not very smooth. Isn'T it, however, like usually it's winter for me, like it's winter in london, usually anyway, so i tend to wear beanies on both my hijab. So all right, so it's the next day today and we will be taking down the thread to unravel the twist you're gon na you're, going to look for that knot that you made and you're just going to have to unknot it and just yeah untwist. It'S that simple, the hair is now all stretched out a little bit like i said before: it's not going to be blow dry stretched because we did not use any heat to glue to stretch out this hair. However, there wouldn't be any more coils or curls to go through. I was going to do like another hijab tutorial here, but i was like yeah. You got it's. This video is very long as it is so, let's just go ahead and end it please. So i'm just going to do like a very simple protective style and i'll just do one more hijab tutorial and we'll. We will end the video right there but yeah. I know this. Video is really long and thank you so much for staying through. You know what these ends have not been trained for like a whole year. If you want to see how i trim the ends, let me know in the comment section below: that's our protective style done now we're going to try to put this under our hijab and i will be in the video soon. Tracy Austin: Beautiful…. I’ve always been interested in the Hijab. Lovely hair!

YvonneYvonne GaskinGaskin40: Mrs. I was just thinking about silk & cotton towels for the hair (silk on one side of the double towel for hair & lite cotton on the other side of the double towel). Have you ever soaked up hair moisture using silk fabric? As the hair dries onto the silk, the hair should be easier to comb through & apply products. Less breakage on the hair strands. At times, the traditional towel can cause hair breakage. Are you able to visbliy see repair using the thread method? What happens when the oil & moisture dries does the definition from the thread increase breakage for the strands with the weaker bonds? The take down of the strands appear to aggressive. Unravel the thread from the hair strand. Do not pull the thread from around the defined hair strand sections. It can cause snaps, snips in sections of the hair strands.
