5 Hairstyles For Old Straightened Natural Hair | Melodie Miller

Hey guys, it's melody here and today, I'm gon na be showing you a few hairstyles that I like to do on my old straightened hair. So first things first YouTube has never seen my straighten hair. So I'm just gon na give you guys a look at the link of my hair. As you can see, it's all chopped up like really bad like the length is not everything is not even I used to have layers, so you can still see my layers there, but I, if you've watched my washing, go video I just recently chopped off the last Of my heat damaged ends, and I did take off a lot more than I usually do. I just trim it myself when my hair is natural, just cutting off the edge, but that's what I did back in January and now I'm all heat damaged free, but it took a lot of my length away, but that's okay, because it'll grow back okay. So if you're like me, you can straighten your hair and then three days later, it's oily greasy and just absolutely disgusting, and you can't wear it out anymore, because it's just stringy like this. I don't like that anyway, let's get into this video okay. So to begin, the style, you're gon na need a middle part, but I really suck at hurting. So don't make fun of me. Then you're gon na section off about a medium sized section and in the front of your head and begin to loosely close. It'S hard for me to explain exactly what I'm doing, but I'm grabbing more hair into my braid as I go down, and then I stop right about right above my ear and then just single braid all the way down. It really doesn't matter what type of braid you use. I just like those flowy kind, just for the sake of this style, once you finish the first side, you're going to do the exact same thing on the opposite side, and this is all my fates turn up. Next you're going to take a bobby pin or a few bobby pins and just pin the braids in the back of your head. You could also take this hairstyle one step further and do a button in the back or for me too, whatever one you like that, this next style requires a side poet and you can do your side pipe and following which other side that you play, then I Just like to brush all of my hair to one side of my head to begin the fishtail breeze to begin your braid you're, going to divide your hair into two large sections, section 1 and section 2, then you're going to take a piece from section 1 and Cross it over to section 2, be sure to hold your hair firmly to keep it organized after that you're going to take a piece from section 2 and cross it over to section 1. It'S really important to make sure that you hold your hair firmly to make sure things don't get out of control. You'Re gon na continue this process until the entire braid is complete. Honestly, I get really lazy when doing fishtail braids, so it just starts. Turning into a regular braid, but that's okay, once you get towards the end of the braid, you can secure it with an elastic. I ran out of a little rubber band, so I'm just using a hair tie to get that messy. Look that I love you're, just gon na pick and pull at your braid until it is as messy or not messy, as you prefer. Don'T you already have that side part to create this ponytail. You can just pull all of your hair to the back of your head and tie it with an elastic to get this high ponytail. I brush all of my hair to the back of my head and once it's pulled all the way back, I like to begin brushing it upward so that I could have a nice high pony on the top of my head once the ponytail is to my desired Liking, I just secure it with an elastic yeah. I know how much I love my hair fans. So if you'd like, you can add a cute little headband, just for a more springy casual look for the final style, I just took that ponytail out and brushed my hair down over the headband.
