Long, Thick, Wavy Hair Before Pixie Cut

I did a lot of research of girls getting pixie cuts before deciding on cutting my hair. But I didn't see too many girls with my type of hair so I decided to document my transformation. I have super thick wavy frizzy hair as is evident in this video.
Also, sorry for the crap quality...I made this off my phone and I'm not a professional at this.
I am donating my hair to Children with Hair Loss (http://www.childrenwithhairloss.us/don...).
I chose this organization because they take shorter hair (8" requirement), they take color treated hair (I lightened my hair with box color 3 years ago and dyed it again a year after that so my ends still have some color), they also provide their wigs free of charge.

Hi YouTube: my name is Sarah and I'm making this video because I'm going to cut off my hair into a pixie cut today, um - and I noticed when I was looking through videos - I didn't find too many girls with hair like mine. So hopefully this goes well and, as you can see, I have a lot of hair. It'S very thick. It'S naturally wavy um. This is my hair air, dried with no product in it. Um, it's pretty much down to my waist and I got a few layers in it whole thing to donate all of it to children with hair loss and hopefully um. It doesn't look too bad when I get done um. This is my first video, so it's probably gon na look like crap, I'm not going to tape my hair getting cut because I think that's boring so you'll see me once my hair is already gone catch you later,

Stacy Sanchez-Dorsey: Thanks for posting this... I found my hair twin. My hair is exactly like yours super long, super thick, frizzy, coarse and wavy. Weekly deep conditioning is mandatory for me, as well as using a super gentle shampoo. I settled on a layered length that I leave wavy and air-dry with leave-in and gel, along with long, blown out, side swept bangs/fringe. I've tried every cut and this seems to be the least maintenance. The layers help because my hair gets so heavy all one length. Bangs/fringe help keep the extra bulk off my face. Plus, I can put it in a bun or braid/plait without too much effort. The bangs/fringe help with framing my face when hair is up or down. Now, I'm letting my natural grey grow out. Enguarde98: Your hair looks stunning here but I think you should have went with a different pixie style with more length on the sides and back. My hair texture and thickness is almost identical to yours except I'm a guy and I don't wear mine as long as yours is in this video. I normally wear mine to the collar or slightly below my shoulders and I've had shorter contoured cuts or pixie cuts that are one length. Love the way yours looks here though.
