Hey guys and welcome to today's video, so i know for a fact just how hard it is to find a curly hair routine that works when i was just starting off on my journey. I would scroll through so many youtube videos watching all these different steps. Looking at all these different products - and let me tell you it was definitely a lot to take in, especially when you're just starting out, you don't really know, what's right, what's wrong and the only way to really find out what works for you is to test everything Out so i understand that it could be really overwhelming, and that's why i came up with the idea for today's video, probably the easiest, curly hair, routine you'll, see that will still give you good results. Not these results like this is it's just all, frizzy, no definition. Nothing going on, but that's the whole point of a hair routine right to fix this whole mess. I don't want to complicate anyone's lives with a very hard routine. That'S not the point of today's video so without further ado. Let'S get into it. So obviously the first step is to wash your hair and yes, i'm wearing a bikini for any pervs out there. Sorry to disappoint i'm going to start off by lathering some shampoo into my hair and i'm always rotating the products that i use. I'M currently using this shampoo by heritage, which i really love. I'Ve recently started using this scalp scrub thing. I don't really know what it's called. It really helps to get that build up out of there and the key with this is to be gentle and not aggressively. Start rubbing on your scalp, because that's just plain rude, this part is so relaxing and it feels so good. It always makes me feel like i'm at a hair salon getting those scalp massages that are just like chef's kiss, but for those of you who don't have one gently massaging your head with your fingers works great too, and you obviously need to get some water in Your eyes cause: are you really washing your hair? If that doesn't happen, i bought this conditioner from the brand monday, but it has a pretty thin formula, so i like to mix it up with this hair mask by shea moisture, to really make it nice and thick and really condition my hair. I rake it through my hair and also use this as a chance to detangle, because you should never brush your hair dry. If you have curly hair - and i find that scrunching, the conditioner into your hair really helps the curls form, but just be gentle or else you're going to create a lot of unwanted frizz. Then we wait for 10 minutes shave or read a book. I don't know and then wash her out super simple. I am straight out of the shower now my hair is soaking wet, but that's exactly how you want it to be. You don't want to towel dry, your hair, you just want to go straight out of the shower mounds of water on your boobs. This helps to really create the most definition possible and eliminate all frizz. The first product that i use is strictly curls, curl, envy curl cream, and what i like to do is i take about this much just run it through my hair trying to coat everywhere, and then i do the same thing with the other half just really trying To make sure that you evenly coat the product all over your hair - oh my god. Maybe i should change my shirt uh. Okay, the next thing that i'd like to do is a technique called praying hands. I'M pretty sure basically go with your hands like you're praying just go along your hair, really you're trying to put a lot of tension on there. This helps once again to get rid of frizz, as well as to promote some clumping same thing on both sides. Next thing i like to do is section out my hair, because my hair is pretty thick, so if i really want to make sure to style every piece of hair, then i kind of need to you know: do some sections. I usually just do two sections. Some people do four: if you have pretty thin hair, you don't even have to bother sectioning okay sections done. I wet these pieces of hair because they were starting to get a little dry. I could recommend having anything it's a spray bottle, because it's a lot easier than sticking your head right into the sink i used to have one, but i lost it. So the next product that i like to go in with is a gel kind of custard. It'S the cantu, define and shine custard over here. Any kind of gel could honestly work. I do like this one personally, because it's a little more lightweight. I find i think, about this much and just put it on my hair really covering them up making sure every single piece gets some of the gel we'll go in and do the prayer thing one more time just to really see where our clumps are. But you can already see them pretty well, so basically, what i do is i shake them out a little bit and then you can see like where the clumps are forming like this. For example, this could be a clump. This could be a clump. This could be a clump. You guys get the idea, then i go in with my denman brush. You guys can honestly use any kind of brush before i got this one. I would use the wet brush. You don't need, like any kind of fancy things to make. It look good, so i take a clump. We don't brush it down like this. This is an example of what we want to avoid because you're just going to have like flat roots you're, not going to have any volume you're not going to have any oomph to your hair. Instead, we want to go in from underneath or from the side. Whatever you prefer and you brush it out with tension, kind of like curling it in as you go, show you guys one more time with this one, you take it and you brush it out with tension. The tension is probably the most important part of this, because otherwise, like it's kind of pointless, basically, you want to repeat this brushing motion with every single clump of hair i'll do the same thing with the other side. Now, once we're done with that, i like to just clump it very gently from the end to the root. Just like a few clumps, you don't want to ruin your beautiful styling, just trying to help encourage the curls to stick together. We'Re not like trying to be aggressive with our curls. We just worked hard with that brush. Okay, look. We already have some curls forming. That'S basically all that you need to do you just repeat the same exact thing on your top sections or if you didn't do your sections, then you're just going to move on to your next step. I almost forgot to mention: don't forget to keep on adding water um, especially on your other sections, because you're going to notice your hair is starting to dry up and we want soaking wet hair. Once i'm done with my curls, i like to go in with an old cotton t-shirt, it's a well-known substitute for a microfiber towel, which a lot of us just don't randomly have in our households when you're scrunching it you're trying to create little sections and just gently Squeezing out the extra water, the last thing that you want to be doing is adding more frizz to your hair, especially after all that hard styling that you just did like all that hard work for what once you're done. With that, i like to just let my hair air dry for like 10 to 15 minutes and just do something else, take a break from my hair because it's time consuming okay, you guys small change of location, because before i was in my parents, bathroom and my Dad just went there, no one wants to be in the bathroom after their dad. Was there yeah sorry dad if you're watching this okay we're going to diffuse our hair? First, we got to put on the heat protectant because nobody wants any heat damage. Not today satan make sure that you're using the diffuser attachment on your blow, dryer otherwise you're not really diffusing your hair. I start off by hover diffusing just for a minute or two really making sure to gently hover over my hair without blowing excessive air all over the place. For this part, i like to specifically focus on the top of my head, but i also do get my other hair. Then i flip my head upside down and cup small sections of my hair into my diffuser, bringing them up to my scalp for, like 20 to 30 seconds and again be gentle, otherwise you're going to have that annoying halo, frizz all over your roots, which no one Wants to deal with, i repeat that on each section about twice, then i flip my head over to the side and continue the same exact cupping technique, but this time we're only going to go through each section. Once yet again, i flip my hair onto the other side and repeat what a shocker i know this part can seem a little tedious, but it really helps create beautiful and defined curls by continuously, alternating which side of my head, i diffuse i'm creating a more full And voluminous look and preventing those dull and ugly flat roots, which are just just no they're, not a look you're going to want to keep on diffusing until your hair is 100 dry and make sure not to forget the under layer of your hair. Because it's always the last section to dry for me, it's really annoying all right. You guys my hair is fully diffused. This is her. I mean i think i did a pretty good job this time. You never know how your curls are going to turn out like one time you style them and they look absolutely perfect and then the next time, even though you do the exact same steps, it just looks like absolute trash, but, as you guys can tell, they are A little crunchy to fluff them out we're gon na do a technique. That'S called scrunch out. The crunch basically take some hair oil. This is the one i'm using by heritage. Rub it between your fingers, flip ourselves like this and we're just gon na scrunch. It once again like we were doing before from the end, all the way to the roots really get in there. We'Re not trying to be too aggressive because we don't want to create too much frizz but don't be afraid to touch your curls once they're styled, because trust me after this step, you're going to love them even more. Sometimes i do find that it's a little crunchy on my roots, just kind of shake them out a little bit. This also helps to create some volume. Okay, yes, yes, look at them absolutely gorgeous. So it's a few days later, since you guys last saw me in that clip not sure if you can tell by my hair. You know maybe she's not looking as defined as she did back there, but that's fine! That'S to be expected. If you want to be able to maintain your styled curls for the longest amount of time possible, really trying to keep them defined and minimizing the frizz kind of like this, like, i think it was three days since the last clip and they still look pretty good. So i'm just saying you're going to want to sleep with your hair in a protective style, you can either use a silk bonnet or you can do what i like to do. You take like a silk or satin scrunchie. They sell these on amazon for super cheap. I think i got like a 5 or 10 pack and you're gon na want to do the pineapple ponytail. Yes, i'm still wearing the same pants three days later. Okay, i i get it. It'S not a big deal. Basically, what you're going to want to do you take your hair flip her over and you're gon na try to gather it as far up your head as possible. Take your hair one time through and the next time you go through. That'S literally how you sleep, the only part of your hair, that's going to be rubbing against your pillow is going to be all of this over here, which is underneath these curls up here. So basically, when you put your hair down, the luscious curls would have maintained their beautiful definition. They look all nice and shiny, there's very minimal frizz and if you do have any frizz back there, they're just gon na cover it up anyways. So you guys this brings us to the end of today's video. I really hope that you enjoyed this really easy, curly hair tutorial. Let me know down below in the comments, if you have any questions or if you have any suggestions on what i could have done differently like i'm always willing to learn how to improve my hair routine, because it's a long process to perfect it. Let me tell you, thank you so much for watching this video. I hope you all have a great day and i'll see you next time. Bye,

Susan H: Nice results, but anything involving sectioning and a Denman brush probably shouldn’t be called easy!

Sarangcrochets: No matter what I do every time I diffuse my hair is so frizzy- I’m gonna try this right now and I really hope it works. Uptade: It worked really well I’m so exited !!!for the first time I didn’t have to have wet hair all day

Maria Ghosn: I’ve actually found that an easier way to get the same result is to use anti frizz serum or curl cream (but it takes longer to dry) all over your hair (section to make sure you don’t miss any strands) and help form the curls by scrunching gently. Let it air dry and it’ll give really beautiful results!

Sarah: i don't think i can thank you enough for making this video. i have hated my hair for my whole life and always wished i haid straight hair, and i'd always just put it in a bun and never really show it, but know i am so excited to actually start putting it down without it looking frizzy, this is literally one of the happiest moments of my life, thank you SO much! <3

Emily Siemek: This video was one of the most informative and best ones I have watched yet. I know I have curly hair but I’ve always struggled with understanding how to care for it like curly hair. Thank you so much!

Moni Ale Solano: finally someone with my same hair type ❤️ nice routine very similar to the one I use love the result

Pin: Thank you for this! The way you explained everything felt so much less daunting, it was like getting guidance from a knowledgeable, sweet friend

Unique Contreras: I love how clear and simple these steps are explained ! I’m so excited to try

AngieBelle: Thank you for this! Side note, your skin is gorgeous!!

Mauna Pearlstein: Hi Julia! Thank you for a great tutorial. We have similar curls, and I am thrilled I found you :)

Stephanie Álvarez: Omg this is literally my hair routine! I even have the same blower and diffuser lol its awesome!!

Sofi: i really like this! it’s super simple and makes it actually approachable to style curly hair, it’s easy to change and manipulate the routine to other people’s specific needs tysm i will try this soon so i don’t walk around with sopping wet hair all day

L 04: Thank you so much! After months of curls that were curling in directions I didn’t want and me struggling with my hair I now have defined curls and I’m super happy about the result❤️

Lavinia Smith: Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I have wavy hair and trying to figure out how to take care of it and I appreciate this tutorial and tips. Thank you!

pieceofpeace35: This is basically the routine that Manes by Mell teaches in her videos but all compiled together and explained very clearly (which is not easy, so kudos for that, but I wish you'd mention her influence here) You were also talking about how sometimes this routine works wonders and sometimes it doesn't work at all, and that happens because our hair needs different things on different days, so sometimes it needs moisture and sometimes it needs protein. Mell actually has a video on that too lol and she mentions checking out what your hair needs before you wash it to see what you're lacking that day. Anyway thanks for the video. It really is well explained so I'm going to try it out next time!

Merve: Wow your curls are GOALS I have hair like yours and it’s been such a hassle to get rid of the frizz and maintain the waves. Will use these tips! I need to get my hands on a diffuser…I’ve seen a few videos showing some great results. Good stuff

Karthik Vijay: I’m trying to grow my hair since it is also curly/wavy and have tried a bunch of things but didn’t work for my hair. This video is super helpful and was also great you had the tips on sleeping with the hair since that is usually where the curls get tangled on the next day, thanks sis ❤

feigy sellem: OH MY GOD THANK YOU my hair is a little bit curlier then yours and ive decided to let them come out about a year ago (after straightening them to look more white lol) and ive never found a more simpler straight to the point friendly tutorial. i will try it out right now and see the results. hope youre having a great night UPDATE: amazing, honestly never been happier with my hair. thank you!!!!!

Carrie Stewart: I love the shampoo brush/scalp massager! It helped with my dandruff over the winter.

Kiwi Kartz: thank you so much! as someone who grew up with super straight hair and now suddenly has curly hair this helps so much in maintaining something i never learned how to do!

Maddie Lakeland: as for never brushing you hair dry, i’ve actually found that when i brush it wet it just leaves my hair so stretched out in the end and prefer to brush it dry before i get in the shower and… fix what i’ve done. do whatever works best for you!

valentina troubatcheva: Wow I like your curls and tips I was doing everything wrong I towel dry right after shower and my hair becomes so frizzy Thank you for your tips Can’t wait to do your style

Jenn Leah: I love how thick your hair is! If you like the results applying tension gives your curls, you should try the behairful brush! It has combo of nylon & boar bristles, and can be used for dry detangling if you do that sort of thing (personally I only dry detangle with my fingers & a bit of oil, my hair is too fine), but it's EXCELLENT at using tension to enhance curls! Maybe you've already heard of it, but if not, you can check out a bunch of videos on here of curlies trying it out. Great video!

Leo Rising: I really like that smoothing technique before the blow dry. Very helpful:)

Yumichan Studios: This was super easy for me to follow and although it isnt perfect for my first try i am happy with the results.

Jenny K: "This is all frizzy, no definition, nothing going on" I thought your before hair looked really nice!! Heck, I'd take your before hair for my everyday hair, lol!

Cute but Random: I’m crying right about now. I’ve tried everything for my hair and nothing was working! I’m in the step when I just scrunched my hair with a cotton t-shirt and my hair looks so much more curly than it was and it’s curly higher up too! I’ll keep you tuned for the end result!

Hikari Chip: maybe not easy but I love how you explain things ❤️ I realized I make many mistake, thank you

eatthekale: thanks so much for being so concise!! <3 really informative video & beautiful results :))

Rosella AJ: THANK YOU SO MUCH. I've always had dead, ratty hair because I never knew how to take care of semi curly hair. I appreciate it so much gurl

Alexis 4356: Question: Do you diffuse your hair after putting in the styling creams & cantu gel ? or are you supposed to let it air dry for a bit and then diffuse?

saris_21: Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous your pattern is very similar to mine<3

Teaa Hamiora: Great video! Keep it up Your curls are absolutely gorgeous

Deveney xoxo: I have wavy curly hair and don’t know how i should style it but this one kinda helps me. But the funny thing is since i cut my hair to my shoulders it’s beginning to get curls and waves, back when i had it long it was just straight. So i am really new to these methods.

Emily Shortridge: I personally find the DevaCurl curl cream (not the coconut cream!) is amazing. Been using it for 5+ years. Soft definition with no crunch

Velvet Clay: You can use the Denman to brush wet hair too. It does not have to be all the tension.

Kathy's vlog : I watch so many of these curl tutorials and and still think my best natural curls are after I come out of the pool and my hair naturally air drys without any products or fussing over how to to style. This seems so exhausting and not worth the bother.

Rollita: This is really similar to my routine except instead of the sectioning and brush I let my hair form curl clumps with a shake (it usually forms about 6-8), then I twist them, scrunch and proceed like you. It's a little faster, you should try it!

Elizabeth Wall: My issues is I have naturally curly hair but I don’t like volume on myself haha so I am stuck straightening my hair all the time. Your hair looks so cute !

M L: You are great at explaining your process in a simple way. You're very funny and your hair is gorgeous! I have a couple questions. My hair is much shorter than yours and growing out. I use a silk pillowcase at night, but the hair between my face and ears and a little at the back of my head gets flat. Otherwise I have great curls. 1) Is there anything i can do about that flatness overnight? 2) What can I do to refresh my hair on the days after washing without ruining the curls I have? I have to fix the sides when I get up and then try and organize the rest of it a little, but I have no idea how to do it. It just gets messed up and then i just wet it all down again each day and squish to condish the leave in conditioner and curl cream all over again. Any thoughts? Thank you!!

Munro McLaren: I’m watching so many videos to see how people with curly hair like me maintain the frizz and maintain their curls in their defined look. I also want my hair to be soft and silky. Hopefully I can get this. I use Deva Curl, and no I haven’t had any problems.

camila fernandez: I loved this tutorial ❤❤

Destiney Velez: For each section you diffuse, how long do you hold it for? I just started diffusing my hair and it makes my hair look so pretty, volumized and bouncy. I get so many complements now lol

Olivia Marie Guerra: Every comment saying this isn't simple must be from a person who doesn't have curly hair or they're new to it bc this IS really as simple as styling curly hair can get.

oBluePandaO: Using a Denman definitely doesn't make this routine short/fast or "easy" anyway I like your personality personally the part that I consider more problematic for the time it takes and for my broken neck is drying it with the diffuser in low to medium heat I HATE IT

Uwurawr: Omg tysm! I been struggling with my wavy hair plus I have so much layers!!! But I feel like this is going to work!

Susie Usagi: I really love the result but because you said it's gonna be easy I expected it to be less time consuming or at least less products. So I'll probably just stick to my routine. But still always cool to see how other people do it and maybe taking over some parts. :) (I still wouldn't consider your routine as easy )

Rebecca Zammit Pace: Omg!! I’ve never met/seen anyone with curls like mine. This is gonna be so useful. I personally don’t use a diffuser as I don’t like excess heat on my hair. I normally sleep with my hair plaited so I’m definitely gonna have to try that ponytail technique.

Francesca Savalli: Thank you so much for this amazing video!❤️ I wonder how often do you wash your hair?

Saniope: A bit late to this, but I absolutely love this video! Most tutorials I see are for hair that is more 3b, 3c, and 4a hair types, but my hair texture is a lot more like yours. Just a question though, how often do you wash your hair? I’ve heard people reccomend anything from twice a week to every ten days!

aestheticxxaloha: Omg thank you so so so much my hair was so frizzy and i tried this im so shocked and happy your the best tysm u cannot believe how happy i am

TeeTee: I"m an AA girl and SO nice to see you using some of the same products as myself-- YES!! Love the end result and great informative video! ❤

Aurelie: what temperature and speed did u diffuse ur hair at? it looks beautiful by the way! and omg i love ur personality so much

Bonnie Jackson: amazing video i’m gonna try this! one tip that i found works is to air dry it while flipping hair side to side too. it helps with the less curly roots us wavies have. your hair looks amazing!

Brittney Williams: Just wanted to mention that the Cantu custard gel is sold for half the price at Walmart rather than Sally’s as linked in the bio ;)

JULIANA MOLINA SILVA: Thanks a lot for the video, it was really helpful! Pls remenber to not let the water run if you don`t need it <3

Hannah U: Thank you for this! Your hair is gorgeous

Scarlett Olszowska: tysm for years ive hade frizzy and destroyed hair and you really helped me. your hair is amazing btw. :)

Joslyn Johnson: i just started the cgm to just see kinda how curly/wavy my hair is. but this is so much easier than the 100s of other videos i watched. thank you!

Alexandria Leonora: Goodness, your curls are so lovely! <3

stranger: I fell out of my chair when i saw her hair- its exactly like mine when its not recently washed! The bottom layer is straight, and the rest is frizzy I love your hair though and this tutorial helped my hair so much!

ElaEG: That was easy right up to the part where you use a Denman brush to style. ;) I've yet to get the knack of brush styling. But your hair looks great and I might try some of what you did in this video. Also, first time ever I saw a curly girl video using the same hair dryer/diffuser I have. ;) Thanks for the video!

lala lu: i do literally all the same just without the brush :O wow thats impressive

Serena 🤍: I think it’s call a head massager. Loved your routine! ❣️

𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓇: ngl, i didnt think it would work but i wanted to try something new so i tried ur method and my hair looks amazing!

Maria: The easiest way for my curls is to just use a good conditioner after washing, put foam in the wet hair and tie my hair very loosely with a clip, during air drying, so the curls will not stretch. I comb my hair before washing them..

Gamer Girl: THANK YOU SO SO MUCH IT LOOKS AMAZING ON YOU

Daisy B: This rlly helped thank u so much Also just to let u know I liked ur cream so I looked it up and it turns out it has silicone in it, on the back it is stated as demethicone which damages ur hair in the long run so I would recommend looking at a different option

Kayla Boyles: Loved the video! I’m curious if you used your Denman brush and curved the brush the way your natural curl is going. I’ve seen some people do that and it worked wonders for them!

Barbara Carbone: Your curls look beautiful and so soft!!

Scarlet Lin: Your hair looks so beautiful. THank you for the video

Mariah J: the video title: easiet curly hair routine ever! the video: we wouldn't want to ruin all that hard work! (routine isn't even half over)

Munro McLaren: The pineapple method doesn’t work for me. It makes my hair poofy when I take it out and the curls get unraveled.

milkman: ur literally so gorgeous i cant !!! ur curls turned out so nice <3

Joana Borges: Thank you for this tutorial it really helped but you should close the water when you aren’t using it

Dusty-lover: I loved you video and I finally found somebody with my hair type. You seem very nice to me. ❤️

Moira De schuytter: Thank you for this video!! This seems like one of the best routines I've seen so far! I want to try this but hair products are so expensive and I do not have the money lmao. I'm gonna start with the easier things..

Hey Gabs: Your hair looks good, but this routine ruined my curls and is definitely not easy.

Briyonna: love a good simple routine for a lazy natural, me

sumayyah: i literally give up on my hair lmfao, i just straighten it so for a whole week im not stressing about my hair (yes im aware that its bad)

Hannah Eliza: Surprised you don't use a leave in conditioner spray/cream before applying your curl cream. I think it's key for frizz and hydration!

Rei: I didn’t hear it— what settings do you start with on your dryer? I have this same one and your routine gives me confidence I can get some good results!

Boss❤️😶: So finally, , I accept that girls hair are also something that makes boys fall in love with. . . My GF appreciated this. ( I also got some of her attention all bcoz of you ) Thank you so much.

Simultaneously, I'm user friendly: I’m trying to take better care of my hair and I was wondering: how should I maintain my wavy/curly hair? Because when I tie it back the curls start to come out during the week. If anyone knows any tips for keeping the curls?

sagi: So alive and pretty, both you and your hair

Liv: i love your hair but YOUR SKIN IS PERFECT OMG

Subha Chugh: Amazing production value, honestly!

Riya Gupta: U are really gorgeous and ur hair looks fabulous....i really wish i had the same hair as you...but mine is dry unruly and hell frizzy

stranger: I have a question, how long does this routine take?

Elle_from_ca Wa-li: How often do you go between washes/styling?

Tisha Salud Integrativa: Nice video! Thanks!

Purple Pig: Thank you so much! I've have never took care of my hair, i always brushed it, straighten it and wear it in a ponytail. I have a question, when i use the blow dryer it kinda frizzes and how to sleeo if i don't have those silk caps

Rylie Thompson: You are so cute!! This video was so helpful ❤️

a beatle: Her hair is perfectly straight and beautiful I'm confused at all these girls saying they have curly hair

Kas Ban: You've got that natural baddie lewk you are gorgeous girl

M: Hi I wanted to ask that do you comb your hair every day after this when they are dry coz that's the only part where I get back to frizzy hair and not doing that doesn't give a neat look

Rana El Taco: I stopped sleeping in a pineapple because I noticed I was loosing strength in my hair from over-caring for it, and they weren't able to spring back, would just stay stretched out. So I guess the pineapple is a a good way to detect the health level of the hair?

Tiffany Sanderson: I have the same dryer and diffuser. What heat and speed did you use when drying your hair?

Nicole Solovey: your hair look amazing!!!

katelyn davis: This turns out beautifully, but hair especially curly hair is super fragile when wet, so the whole denman with tension when wet stresses me out. I’ll probably try it anyway lol
