Hello, everyone, if you're new here it's wonderful to meet you. I am L and this is Amanda. She is my sister for most normal people when evening turns into night it becomes bedtime. We are not normal. So for us before bedtime, there's banach time in today's video. I'M going to show you guys all my nighttime routine for a short to medium length, hair and you are showing whether you contribute I'm showing how I preserve my long hair, because there is a difference between preserving shorter hair and longer hair. So we're gon na show. You guys, both today, let's go ahead and get to it, shall we OOP okay? So this is my bond and everyone. I have had this guy for months purchased off of Amazon. It'S got a thin band, slightly elastic satin on the inside, don't know what the outside is: don't really care, because this is what I'm interested in. You can see the shine that shine is going to envelop your hair and leave your hair shiny in the morning, whereas this monk will create friction, you can feel it in the material. You can see it in the color. It'S not shiny. It'S not gon na give. You the same effect, that's why sleeping with a bonnet is absolutely crucial to maintaining your hair. Now it's also very common to sleep with a pineapple and then just sleep on your regular pillowcase, but this is what's gon na happen. So let's put our hair to pineapple. Okay got a really loose messy pineapple. This certainly is an option, but it should not be your first option because one, the pineapple is going to stretch all your curls, so they're going to become a little looser at the roots. It'S so gon na cause a lot of frizz all around here and it can even lead to breakage by just sleeping on your regular pillowcase. So not what we want, whereas when you wear this guy, I don't need to put my hair up in pineapple. So I'll show you exactly how I sleep with this thing so that I can wake up and not have to go through that long dreaded rewash restyle process. Alright. So, very simply, all I do is flip my head upside down forward and from back to front I gently tuck, my curls in I find that this bonnet has a really nice like loose elastic, where it's not going to squeeze my head and give me a headache. But it's still gon na stay on so I'll. Do some dance moves, not really dance moves, but just shows you how well this stays on and being completely honest. That'S it for me, that's all. I have to do it's very, very simple and if you struggled with the bonnet falling onto your face like so just take a bobby pin and pin it in place so now man is gon na come on. She'S gon na show you guys her routine. How she does it it's a little bit different than mine, because she's got all that hair and I'm gon na go put my jammies on so I'm gon na be right back. Okay! So now it's my turn. I'M gon na show you guys how I get ready for bed. It'S a little bit different than Mel's, because I do have longer. Hair are more susceptible to flattening my ends, especially so. This is how I prevent that. So what I do first is I take a Vedas light element, smoothing fluid this I like to use, because I find that my hair gets really dry, especially at the ends, and especially because now it is winter. So I like to apply just a one pump of this to my ends and that's it. So that's my first step number two is I put my body on so how I put my body on is I divide my hair into from the back kinda, as if I was going to start pink tails, then I kind of just twist everything once from the Root, I do this on both ends and then I pull it up towards my head and I'm grabbing all my hair. Just like this now I then flip forward. I grab my bonnet, I put it on top starting from the back and then I tuck everything into it, as my head is still down. Okay, so that's step number two and I'm still down I'm not. I have not looked at my head, yet I like to know what that's the faces. I know it looks a little crazy but because my hair is so long, it really helps to really also push all my hair to the front. That way, I'm not sleeping on top of my curls as I'm sleeping and flattening them. So that's what I like to do and then for my final step. I move a lot in my sleep so because of that sometimes I wake up with my bonnet on the floor or on the bed. So what I do to prevent that similar to Melissa is, I take a bobby pin and I just bought me: pin the sides just in front of my ear, I'll bobby, pin them, and this will really help to keep the bonnet in place as I'm sleeping. So I don't wake up and my bonnet is off ahead. There is a difference between my bonnet and Melissa's body. As you can tell, my bonnet has a little bit of a thicker band and it's a little bit longer for my hair. Both our bonnets are on Amazon, so we'll put the links in the description, but I prefer this bonnet because I really do appreciate the thicker band, as I feel like it gives more support and that's all I do Wow Wow all right, so we'll bring Mel back. I'M coming, oh all, right, hey, so this is actually how we go to bed. You don't have to worry. Oh wait. I forgot to tell them one more thing that I do what is it Amanda? I would like to sleep with this get it. This is an explanation. Okay, I will eat. I would also do it, but when I asked Amanda to buy me one, she didn't so you just got the prime account anyway. Okay, when you sleep like that on the envelope, you are the. If you are Prime member and everybody asks you to order for them - okay, probable, because I am that woman, okay Amanda, we know you want people to relate to you, I'm just saying: look everybody Amanda! Take it away. So if I I forgot to mention that I also sleep with a silk pillowcase, I know that where I bought it, but sometimes I don't wear my bonnet and for those times I have extra protection with my pillowcase. Also, the satin or silk pillowcase is good for your skin, so even if you don't have curly hair, even if you have straight hair, it's really good for your skin. Can you stop? You know once you put all your skincare creams and things like that? It doesn't rub off and the silk will really preserve all those creams that you have on your face. So that's why I also like to sleep with my silk or satin pillowcase, and I got this on Amazon as well. I definitely do this is the last video you're coming on, except somewhere, alright, so we're gon na go to bed now and we'll show you guys the results in the morning get up at room good morning. Everybody. It is quite early here. We'Ve got our makeup done. We'Re dressed and all we've got to do to her hair is take off the bonnet. So without further ado, we're going to remove our bonnets. Well we're moving. Are they ready you guys ready? Are you ready now that you're ready Shh? Are you ready? Are you ready mother right? I don't know I'm waiting comment below. Thank you, okay, we're ready, ready! I just flip back upside down. Oh yeah, me too me too. Okay, so I'm kind of all up here. Everything is brought forward, I'm using my best most magical tool. I'M gon na shake it up, really shake. I shake players shorter. So, if I don't shake, it looks flat in some areas and weird we have a more in-depth morning. Routine up on the channel, will link that below we're. Also gon na link everything that we have used in this video in the description below, so don't fret, if you forget it's gon na, be right down here. Also, this cute thing it's mine: what's mine is ours. Mine. What'S yours is mine, alright guys. Thank you. So much for tuning in this is our first video of 2019. We wanted to start it off. I have fun positive, light-hearted note. With the new year upon us, we wanted to include a new feature at the end of every video, so you're gon na want to stay tuned to the end of every video, because we're going to be highlighting to subscribers comments that have been left in our YouTube. Videos, one will be just a positive notes and our first one for today is from Bethany Minich, hey Bethany, thanks for commenting, and as for our second comments, we won't be highlighting a question so that some of you can answer, and we can help out our friend Here named Liz berry, zero one, so Liz Barry asks what shampoo and you use. I really appreciate your feedback also happy new year, so if you guys could write below in the comment section what shampoo and conditioner you use, let's help out our friend Liz berry zero. One - and I will answer right now - I'm using a Vedas cherry almond, shampoo and conditioner Amanda's, using the same thing. So that concludes today's video. Thank you for sticking around for having fun with us today. Next week will be blowing mine, so stay tuned. You'Ve got lots. Coming and we'll see you then hello, everyone, your feet, stick more flexible than I am me, yeah, I'm not very flexible any notions already, alright guys. So now I'm going to quickly show you guys how I quickly go to bed. I said quickly and guys these four times really only a couple steps different than Melissa's, so let me get there quickly, so I worry who's Melissa Oh tomorrow morning. So this is your channel now, alright! So that's all for today!

essia: And to anyone bashing on them for "trying too hard" ya'll need to chill. Clearly, they're enjoying themselves with or without your opinion.

shantelle F: Its actually really nice to see two white women normalizing wearing bonnets! I’ve been wearing a bonnet since i was like 2 years old and i know that most black women have been wearing bonnets since Jesus was a boy lol. I remember telling my white friend to wear a bonnet for her curly hair and she told me it was only for black people lmao .... bonnets are to preserve the moisture in your hair. Its not race specific ‍♀️

C Land: Got my bonnet yesterday and last night was my first "bonnet night" I woke up with MORE waves/curls! Thanks Mel & Amanda!

Clara Shawn Morrison: Shout out to all the Black girls who started the bonnet revolution.

Camille Tucker: I showed this video to my 3 year old daughter to convince her to wear her bonnet.......IT WORKED!!!! Thank you!

AssaultedPeanutt: For best results, as you apply your bonnet take a shot everytime they say "bonnet". So not only will you preserve your curls but you'll also get the best sleep you've ever had.

Lily T: aw, I love it when Amanda joins the videos! You and her have a really fun dynamic. And I've been using bonnets for years but I actually feel like I got some helpful tips. I never thought about pulling my hair forward in the bonnet, but now that I think about it makes sense. I'm going to try it tonight.

alfaspark1: After 68 years of living with very curly hair (the bane and blessing of my life) I never thought I could find a tip that would be a game changer. Well, my darling girl, you’ve given me one. I got one of those caps (the orange one) and I can’t believe I’ve gone all my life without it!! My curls are perfect in the morning! No frizz, no flat areas, just perfect coils! Thank you thank you! And you and your seester are adorable! ❤️

Jeff: Came for the education because I’m struggling with my curly clients, but stayed because y’all are funny

Sarah: Hello ladies!. I'm a writer. I don't have curly hair, but my main character does, so I'm doing research. This was really helpful! Thank you!

BinaBecker: I bought a bonnet recently, and one of those continuous spray water bottles too...best things ever for my curls. I'm already seeing good results with both!

Feeling Supersonic: I've just started to watch curly hair videos. I never knew these bonnets existed. I've been washing my hair every day because I wake up looking the Bride of Frankenstein. I'm going to invest in one of these bonnets asap!

Haley Kay: Mell you have changed my hair life. My definition is insane, ive never had results like this before...all because of your tips and routines!! I was really hesitant to trying a new routine but your advice has changed my hair routine for the better. Thank you!!

Vanessa M: I wanna be y’alls seester SO FUNNY and informative! My new go-to channel for curlssss

Kimber Lee: Haha! I’m getting rid of my pineapple and am going to rock a bonnet... my husband isn’t going to know what hit him

Boogie Nights: They're adorable lol I've been using Mel's techniques for months and it's amazing that I never knew how I was really supposed to treat my curls until now. I even use her straighten methods as well. Thinking of doing a " I tried Mel's method" video. Once you get the hang of it, you'll never do it any other way. Thanks Mel!

believe1: ♥️♥️♥️ you two. You girls are just the cutest. I grew up with unruly, curly hair with no idea how to style. Thank you for sharing your dos and don’ts and for helping out a fellow curly girly

Heather Spencer: Love these two seesters! Y’all make a great team! Hilarious and informative! Keep spreading the love!

Sarha Anderson: Girl I bought a bonnet at target today! Haha had to rewatch this video cuz I couldn’t figure out how th to put it on new to the “naturally curly” life. I’ve had it all my life and have been using a flat iron for like 20 years the journey has started.

Melissa Gomez: Do I have curly hair? No Does this video apply to me in anyway? No But was I thoroughly entertained? Heck YEAH!!! Keep doing what you’re doing! You guys are hilarious!

Brie Couture😍💄: I loveeeee your channel !!!I’ve been using your tips and my hair has been coming out bomb !!! Thank you for providing such great content ❤️

Ashley Nurczyk: Y’all, having long hair and starting my hair care journey this helped SOOO MUCH cause girl trying to figure out how to put the bonnet on I was like HOWWW?!?! But thank you ladies!!!!

Tiffany Humphrey: I have no clue how I even came across your videos, but I have been binge watching, and I absolutely adore the two of you. You are both life goals. So glad I found your channel!

lisa: You two are absolutely BEYOND beautiful! You both have amazing hair, and you have amazing hair content! Mell, you is one funny girl! The comedy is spot on, and it makes your videos stand out! Keep up the amazing content with your comedic sense, and the sky is the limit! This channel is going big places! As a retired colorist, self-proclaimed comedian, and curly girl, I lam especially attached to your videos!!!

faith1277: You two are gorgeous and hilarious- such a perfect combo! Had me cracking up at all tha goofiness! I have zero knowledge on proper hair care with wavy hair (mine is long and fine with a bit of wave). I’ve always just blow dried it with a paddle brush (comes out straight). I’ve realized I can achieve gorgeous waves with proper care, and am embracing it! I’ll be buying the bonnet off amazon. Thank you girls for being amazing!

K whatever: I have 3b curls and you seesters have taught me so much and you make me crack up every time. Also I'm currently using the Shea Moisture coconut and hibiscus shampoo and conditioner :)

Ēnvyy Mē: Wearing a bonnet has saved me for wearing my wavy hair for the next day I use to re wash my hair the next day just so I could scrunch style it all over again smh ‍♀️ but now the bonnet has been such a game changer

Mirette Alber: Well! You definitely have the Charisma. I just started watching your videos yesterday, and I just can't stop. Not only because your videos are very helpful, but also mainly because of your Charisma, your vibe, .. really impressive and unique.

Amy Russell: I love you guys. You always make me smile. You’re both incredibly beautiful and so funny and down to earth. Brains, Beauty and Personality triple threat ladies! Love your videos. I really appreciate all the education, you’re helping me so much

Brenda Birch: Thank you so much for all of your videos.  I am 52 and just started embracing my curls and stopped fighting them.  My hair is very fine and the transition is, well, poofy.  I am ordering my sleep bonnet right away so that I can hopefully keep my curls intact and not have to wash my hair every day.  Thanks again.

Michelle Cadiz: I love how informal but yet still really enjoyable your videos are, your channel has been the best thing I’ve come across ❤️ keep going girl!

Minna Uyeda: I just started following you and I love your tips and teaching moments. I haven’t heat styled or straightened my hair since the beginning of 2019. I just got my bonnet and it works amazing! Thanks!

K W.: My husband just watched this with me and said, "Omg, it's like watching you and your seester..." That's only part of the reason I love watching these!!!!

Tori Bushman: I am soooooo happy I found this channel! I struggle to find people with hair similar to mine and how they manage it! You and your sister’s hair is similar enough to mine that I can get tips from both of you and finals figure out what I’ve been doing wrong! I’ve watched about 30 of your videos tonight! You’re amazing!

Monique Freeman: It's so amazing how far Amanda's hair journey has come! Your hair looks so amazing now in the newest videos! So inspiring as I'm trying to heal my damaged curls!

meldan5: It’s kinda sad to realize that I’ve been doing my hair wrong for 30 years! Thanks for the Canadian links, very helpful!

cvn_224: Love this sisterly relationship! Thanks for all the curly gal tips, needed it!!❤

Awilda Jimenez: You guys are great together. Thanks for your instructions, on how to correctly wear a bonnet without having to refresh our hair.

chanice erica henry: These tips were lifesaving!! My curls are preserved for so much longer now!! Thankieeees

Anita Kay: This was super helpful. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get all my hair in the bonnet. I have one but I’m gonna order the same as Amanda since the elastic on mine is super itchy.

Kiara Lopez: thank you for this! I’m really struggling to make my 3a/3b hair look nice :( but I’m getting there with these vids! Love you and your seester ❣️

AP Lucero: You are hilarious! Thank you for helping me be curly again!

Olivia Morelli: I discovered your channel yesterday and I love it. I'm crying with laughter right now ! I have 3B hair type and had a keratin treatment 2 months ago which I HEAVILY regret. Thanks to you, I can't wait to get my real hair back and try to finally accept it and even maybe love it. My dream is to achieve your sister's hair lenght but I've never been close to that in 25 years so I think my hair just can't be that long :(

essia: Your helpfulness and the adorable sisterly bond ya'll have is enough to make me *subscribe*

Marianne Clark: I’m so glad I found you on YouTube. I love how you show your sisters hair too. I have long hair like hers and not many tutorials show long curly hair tutorials. You should do hair up dos for both hair types!

Drea & Bash: I’m so happy I found you! I’ve lost my curls and I’ve never known how to properly take care of them but you’ve shown me so much ❤️

Laura Palmer: I’m so happy to report that I’m sleeping tonight with my first bonnet, thanks to you beautiful ladies. ❤️

Nice Girl Jenn: Just watched for second time! Sadly Ive only recently started sleeping with a silk bonnet‍♀️‍♀️ and def notice a HUGE difference in style-keeping and frizz. You 2 are too funny❤️

tburrrg: I have been sleeping with “the pineapple” for all of quarantine as I transition from straightening to natural curls & because I’m an active sleeper I broke off chunks of my hair in the back I’m transitioning to the bonnet & this video is so incredibly helpful. Thank you.

Mimiz: I love this channel so much. Working on my natural hair & this is the first time I've found the answers to my hair prayers! Love love love it!!

Elizabeth Thomas: I also have found the silk bonnet is a game changer if I shower mid-afternoon, let it air dry, and the bonnet overnight keeps WAY more curl in "day 2" morning! It does shape really funny but I spray it down with water and it's like magic! :)

kmadelin: I’m so glad to have come across you guys!! Loved you guys from the start. You guys are hilarious, love the content !!

Emily Mae: My mom is a hair dresser and I had to go all natural hippie on her and damn what was I thinkin??? Everything you say she has told me my whole life. I didn’t even know my hair could be so big and curly. That’s what I get for not listening to my momma...

Louisa Bikowski: Im literally binge watching all your vids cause I just found your channel and Im dyyyyyying informative and hillarious

AnJolie Ruiz: My mother's curls are much much looser than mine and she's very careless with her hair as where my hair is alot of maintenance in the morning and just on a regular basis. Because of this I was never taught how to preserve my hair and keep it healthy this along with some of your other videos were very helpful. Thank you

Deena Fredenburg: I took your advice and bought this bonnet for myself and one for my sister. OMG! Fantastic! Thank you.

maricua82: I just got my bonnet y'all! Now tonight I can say "It's bonnet time!" ❤️

Natasha Olds: Yes! The Seesters are back! This was perfect! I really appreciate seeing Amanda's night process. I've been using the pineapple method with my satin cap. But my curls are pulled out in the morning. I can't wait to try this tonight.

Cesia Saravia: Hello Mel! Thanks for this awesome video your girls are seester goals! I don’t have a sister only brothers and watching you makes me curious to know what it would be like to have a sister! I really wanted to see this video I was curious on how you girls did it. Can you please make a video about ALL your hair products.

Sam Rios: You guys make bonnets look so easy! I've probably destroyed my curls trying for 5 minutes just for my hair come back out once I pull my fingers out of the bonnet. Then when I try to push the stray hairs back in, more sticks to my fingers

Blessings of Love: LOL Great to see you two having fun

HEBAH B: Loving the amazing tips & tricks , especially the morning care

Bookdragon: I just love how positive and energetic you guys are

雨rain: Sometimes silk bonnets are silkier on the out side (idk why) but you can flip it inside out for the silkier texture to touch your hair!

Lidia Altamirano: Love watching you guys!! Thank you for all the tips ☺️

Gargi Kulkarni: This method worked so well for me to get frizz-free hair in the morning. Thank you!!!!

Angelica Rodriguez: Mel I love you, but I also love when your seester is in your videos! You guys are sooo cute!

Kaptyn’s SirenSong: I got hooked on your channel two weeks ago! Thanks for the laughs and for saving my curls from falling out and divorcing me haha! I think curly ladies tend to be goof balls. I’m one of em lol. Respect, ladies!

FUNNESS123: I’m currently on my hair journey and your channel is one of the most helpful one I’ve found, the first video I watched I subscribed. Love ya!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Kimberly: Okay, I have just found you and watched so many of your videos! I wish I had been aware of you before! I've been struggling for years with my hair (only curly girl in the family). It's really nice to be validated in some of the things I've found work for me and gotten instructions on how to do other things (like diffuse). I bought a bonnet last month and have been struggling with it (some parts flatten and some seem to get curlier). I'm definitely going to try some of your techniques! Thanks for these videos!

Joy Lapadat: We need more intros like this! Love it! Made my whole day better. I also just received my bonnet in the mail which is why I'm watching the video.

Explore Vicksburg: You girls are soo funny. I really enjoy your video's. Just discovered you. I was doing EVERYTHING wrong on my curly hair. I will make corrections now. Thanks for sharing your expertise

Vicsa Chiriboga: I have to say, that you guys are great. Funny as heck. I’m 58 and trying the curly routine.. was on and off for a year, because of frustrations, but now I’m going to give it my all. Hopefully I’ll get the results I want ... I have thick hair, don’t really need the volume but looking for as natural as possible curls (if there is such a thing) I’m glad that you use only 2 products to achieve the curls and then some extra to maintain it. Can’t hurt, I’ll try it. Looking forward to seeing more of your hair routine.

lorena pichardo: Love this video. Love the sister bond and how fun both of you are together

Pamela Stage: I ordered the hair bonnet and silk pillow case along with the bungee hair ties before I even watched the video

Maritza & the VanCuties: You two are adorable together. I’m getting the bonnets and pillowcase!

Selene Kinder: I love watching you and your sister! It makes me miss when my sister and me lived in the same house.

Mary Hartman: You girls have the most wonderful personalities! I wanna be your friends! Been searching all day how to preserve heatless curls. I have a silk cap and did a lot of Amazon research. I love mine a lot. Can wear on errands and protect my hair. I don't want to squash the curls in the bonnet and I don't think I can do the heatless curls again every night without washing them. A word of warning - I had a satin pillow that I slid off of right onto the floor. Problem is I have tall antique bed and it broke my jaw! So don't slide outta bed! Lol thanks you guys are awesome!

VeronicaVan: Okay, I think this is what I need in my life? I've essentially been straightening my curly hair for my entire life...but lately I've been liking my curls, but when I sleep, I squish my curls, and also I'm like a night sweaty person hahahahaha so my curls get like molded into my neck hahaha. I'm buying this now

Mandee Keefer: Thank you Mel! I have been putting off getting a bonnet for some time now, but after watching this, I JUST ordered mine! Thank you again!

Ninja: You two are hilarious and adorable. Mell, truly enjoy your videos; great tips all the time. Thank you.

andrea: my hair is a literal mix between the both of yours. mines flatter like your sisters but my curls are tight like yours lol love the video you guys! I’m also from Toronto!!! Reppin the 6ix

Carmen Flores: After many many...maaaany years of struggling with my brillo pad hair.. I can finally say that now I'm truly excited about my hair!! Thank you for your awesome videos ❤️ oh and Amanda back in the day we called that step at (5:07) "headbanging" \m/ \m/ Love you girls!! Keep up the great work!

Gail Davis: I love you both, absolutely gorgeous!!! You make me wish I had a sister

Jayme Lopez: I’m so glad I found this channel, love them and their personalities !!

Vitaemins: you guys are so cute! i wish my sister had curly hair so we could have the curly seester bond you guys have. but alas... she and the rest of my family are all straight haired

y/n: your bloopers are the best! i need a bonnet too, just started my curly hair journey and it’s going well so far, wish me luck to stay on this course.

nini castañeda: Haha! This is THE BEST intro and «post credits» video I have seen. You guys are cute, real and I love how different you are from each other and still so sisterhood like. Looove!

Hannah White: I love you two. So funny and informative

Jessica Harris: The music while Amanda does her bonnet head shake had me cracking up!! Great editing You gals are lifesavers!! Thank you!!

Inge Justa van der Helm: Dear seesters, I don't want to be impolite, but may I please add a little extra info about the difference between silk and satin? The biggest difference between the two is that silk is a natural fiber and satin is a weave. Satin can be created by used silk or other materials. Often products are sold as silk when they are satin polyester. If you are a vegan you will probably not want to use silk, because silk is an animal byproduct. Kind regards :)

Fat Sparrow Sewing: Something to note, your bonnet should be silk because polyester can be shiny but because it's essentially plastic and creates static.

J Mangum: First time I watched this video, I watched cuz I wanted to see your nightly routine to preserve your curls. Now, it's my go to video anytime I need a good laugh. U 2 are too damn funny!

lulujean88: I'm going to wear my bonnet inside out, so the smoother side will touch my hair. Just saw it on another site. I have been using Tresemme in the black and white bottles and I love it, so far. I've used almost every brand there is since I am a cosmetician. I use Biotera for the "crunch." Buy that at Sally's. Most of my hair stuff I buy at a professional's only like CosmoProf. Love your site!

julie: Lololol You guys made my day! I actually giggled out loud!! Thanks for the video and the great tips!

clinedeb83: I love your videos! Starting my curly hair journey!

Idk Hello: I love u guys are so funny! I’m transitioning my hair I learned allot from both of y’all ❤️

Bella Serna: You guys legit remind me of me and my sister. I've seen so many similarities, even as much as me having the same color eyes as Amanda and my sister having the same as Mel. We absolutely love watching your guy's videos and you guys have helped so much in our hair care journey. PS I also am te only one in my family that has an amazon prime account, and everyone comes to me to get them stuff

jeevie: you should get your seester to do a curly hair routine!! her hair texture looks so similar to mine and I'd love to see her routine! you're both so gorgeous <3

Tia Baas: what do you recommend if you workout in the morning and sweat a lot, but don't want to wash your curls to much?
