Unboxing and demonstrating my new Chi G2 hair straightener. I was able to exchange my broken Chi for this new one because it was under warranty. I'm really happy with my new Chi and the great job it does. Lots of new bells and whistles on this new one which features adjustable temperature control and digital display.

Hi everyone today, I'm going to talk to you about my new cheese, straightening iron, because my old one died. I'Ve been a big fan of chief for a number of years, the first two I had they each lasted four years, which i think is a great life span, the third Qi I bought. I got from the outlets and unfortunately, after about six months, one of the paddles just stopped working, but anyway the big thing here is this 2-year limited warranty. I don't often pay attention to these and I don't often follow up, but that is key to this, because I went into trade secrets where I had originally bought it with my original receipt and they let me exchange it for this Qi right here. The Chi g2, which is slightly different from the one I had this one, has a lot more bells and whistles. So this is the box that comes in and I'll show you what's inside, it's a nice magnetic closure. So here is the Chi g2 and it's kind of this black, almost sparkly or speckled outer casing, and this is the LCD display and it also comes with this I'll pull it out. It also comes with this heat protectant mat, and so basically, I think what this is is that when you're done using your Chi, you can put it on here and you can even wrap it up like this and it'll protect your countertops. I haven't yet tested this out and actually looking at the instructions, there isn't really any information on this other than what is on the box and basically all it says there is free thermal mat included great. So anyway, here is the Chi whoops. It looks very similar to the other ones that I've had, except for the display and these buttons inside, like the last one I had it. Has this great velcro strap, so you can take your cord out and use it and then, when you're done bundle it back up so that I find really helpful, especially for traveling, because if you're like me, you take your Chi everywhere. Okay, so, like all the other cheese you plug it in, it helps please test button. So if your Chi, this little sticker, says exactly that thing, but if you're cheap ever won't turn on hit that red button and then it should work. Okay, so with the Chi, you do have this LCD display and, as I said before, instead of having that one nice switch, you had to have a few buttons, and so the on button is here and actually the best part of this is cute little sound. So then you see you get the display here and it actually counts up as a TV which i think is so cool and as you can see, it's trying to get up to. I think 350 is the basic. That'S going pretty quickly like I find when I plug it in, i basically will get out my makeup bag and maybe grab something out of it or clip up my hair and then before. I even turn back to this. It'S already gon na be wear see. It'S already there, it's like five seconds, not five seconds 30 seconds. Let'S say now. The other thing that's interesting is manually. If you want so it'll always just go to 350, but if you use the up and down arrows, you can adjust the temperature. So if you want to go up to say 395, you just click the up and, as you can see, it gets up there really quickly. So the other thing turn it off. Is it has this mode button? So if you turn it on okay, it's starting to count up and then, if you hit the mode button, it'll go to the fine hair, the medium hair or the coarse hair and you'll go directly to preheat to that temperature, which i think is pretty handy. But if you don't want to do it like that again, you can always just I think, come out of manual mode in that yeah and then adjust to what you want, and so the difference between the different levels of display is the green. The blue, sorry is the lower temperatures, the green is medium and then red is gon na, be your higher temperatures and they basically like with the mode settings it's fine, medium and coarse hair. So for me, I've been using the medium about 390. I have pretty coarse hair, a pretty curly hair and I find it does the job. I'Ve been a little hesitant to try much much higher, but and again you can see it's just always trying to get to the temperature you set it up. So that's the cheap. G2 you're on the lookout for a hair, straightener, I'd highly recommend the Chi, and if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them below all right. Thanks for watching bye,

Kelli Spaulding: I have this and love it. It's my first Chi. I've used every brand under the sun, ghd, Rusk, Drybar, Babyliss, Infrashine, Brocato, Croc, FHI and more. I'm a crazy flat iron Lady I am really impressed with this bad boy. How is yours still working for you? Excellent review ☺️

butterflyheavenly M: I have had my original chi straightener for about 7 years and then I accidentally dropped it on my bathroom floor it cracked in half right in the middle of the plates so I had to tape it down with duck tape ugh lol until I decided to find a new one ☝ and I think it’s this one!! I found it on other sites!

Shyla Redekop: Mine legit lasted ten years

Zainab A: Hi, I hope you see this soon because I'm thinking of replacing mine tomorrow. I got this and when I turn it on, before even touching my hair scentless smoke or steam comes off it, does that happen with yours? is it normal or could it indicate a fault? Please help, it's my first Chi and it works like a charm so I wan't to make sure there isn't a problem with it.

Random girl: TY TY TY I FINALLY LEARNED HOW TO TURN IT ON

Google User: Umm 4 yrs? Wow I bought tourmaline hair iron from my salon that not only lasted 15 yrs bc i lost it, so it never actually died on me, but it was real ceramic so even after 15 yrs my hair remained glossy without frizz never damaged my hair. I wish I could still find that same flat iron now for$40, but it's only sold overseas. Chi is crap of their life never surpasses 4 yrs.???

Franci Cuautle: Hey whats the lowest heat setting?? Its not 350 right?

Lucy Ayman: Where can I get it pls. ? And how much

Ashley Hewlett: I have this chi but mine just has the normal plug in

Jenna M: is it black sparkly or just plain black?

نها الصغير: السعر كام

Claudia Gomez: I prefer Karmin.

Sander Avoux: Hello thats is chi 2G or what all his name plaise
