Making A Wig | Lace Front Vs Closure | Herstory - Episode 7

From high school I told everybody about my so things I told everybody about um. My breast cancer diagnosis Tasha reached out to me because she is a hair, stylist and I'll. Let her tell you a little bit about her business, but she reached out to me because she offered to make me a custom wig just for me so um so excited this is my first week so she's over here to do the consultation so anyway I'll reach Out to Marsha, as soon as I saw her post, her post immediately just touched me so many others so with what I do. I'M here stylist over 10 years, starting at pearl and I've been doing weeks actively for about five years, particularly for cancer patients. So um, that's being something that's been a joy of mine and I love to just give back as much as I can as far as much as you can with in this situation, because this is a sensitive situation. So I'm happy to be here - and I am happy to be a part of this, so what I'm doing is. Basically, I am just trying to see if this lace particular lace will blend in with her skin tone. Therefore, we don't have any detectable things going on. Try to make it as natural as possible um, so I'm just gon na put it against your skin, and actually I used I to dye this. Ladies, you can buy it it and it can be like as light as you know, like blonde of anything and ID normally that's what I do to make the lace blend in better blue. I just went ahead and died and just took a chance also. You already died mm-hmm Yeah right into your skin yeah. So will it matter like once my I'm completely bald like mm-hmm? No because that's that's, why I wan na make sure you know when I dyed it that if I need to go darker or lighter, but if I, if it's if it's basically disappearing, that means this is basically its diet, okay, correct so um. So now what I'm gon na do? What kind of juice, if you can put your hand right here on the side over here, so basically, this is where a frontal will be from here to ear to ear. So a frontal covers this whole area and it's about midway crown. So this is gon na be what we call it frontal. What is the funnel? It'S basically like I said from here, and it's just covering so the hair, okay, yeah and then the back will just be just regular track sewn in on the week. But a closure basically would be about this. This amount of lace and it'll and the hair is on the legs yeah. It goes in between you. Basically you put down, though you can't see it, but you will use a crochet needle and sew individual hairs in these huh yeah yeah. Okay, so front all your sewing individual hairs up into about like that right, oh yeah, no and then the closure bayless yeah. Oh thank you! Won'T it and I think I've seen a lot of your hairstyles. Do you kind of do like you're here to kind of be part of the middle? Oh, no! Oh man! Okay! Well! Even if you say you owned it down the middle, then you're close you're basically start right here, mm-hmm so like right here, but it would just be that little part right here. Even if you want to say it doesn't matter, but a frontal covers it goes from ear to ear. Oh, oh yeah. Hair is like all right here: okay, the 14th instead of 14 mates, or what did you say from the fortune, was from Jorge front you up tonight and filled in from Nate from front. To crown your said, it's those evening, yeah, your normal. All the homes are, oh, I feel be surprised how many people like tweeny, but then in middle, like yeah and I'm good. I guess I'll do that. I don't know if I'm gon na do the two options look like as far as the middle yeah like for the most part. I always wear my first on the side. Okay, okay, you know I'm going based off your video yeah. You had. Anyone is like the Bears, okay, yeah and I was going based off you like um, like when it's freshly yeah, okay I'll, do like a middle okay, okay, but you know, after about three four days, when you kind of start, you think they're blowing like this, you Got you okay, so yeah? Well, we can do that. We can bend for me. Oh y'all, shout out to my other hair stylist dee dee is my hair in my first video. Since we were just talking about it, he is on the north side of town and Laurie's. On the south side house, I got to head stylist everybody enabler for some reason, and maybe you did. I thought you had some coloring area. I did okay, okay, go ahead! Hum yeah, it kind of grew out I'll pack the end. So I guess what Lord cut it: okay, yeah yeah! I need you know what I'll be doing. Alright cuz I get color once every two years and then and don't kick a seed. If we do all the way out no speaks like oh yeah other people, they stay on top yeah, so she just cut it into no color. Oh, oh yeah! Dark! Oh yeah! Let'S play okay, good black black, oh man! This is a tomb which is like right. Next to a black, and then it's like you can feel it different me putting this up to here. You could: okay, hey everybody, so Natasha is back with my wig and um. It didn't take long to like a week and a half custom weed for me. So she's get ready, try it on for the first time and then she's gon na style. It he's here y'all ways they see Carly she's like yeah. Is it a special technique when cutting lace, yeah? Basically don't cut the haircut? It'S like folks, it's called yeah. I mean I made it so I know what it here is, but if I would have ordered it and they don't leave snowing for some people when they make nice, they make it too bulky. Y'All got a mirror socket see, but I did peek before and I loved it. Oh my gosh, so I know you like the lint right. So what about the babe? You want it to stay like that. So basically, I'm just gon na put some layers in because it gets hot. I know sometimes you might want to put you know behind you see that way. Alright, there we go so yes still knows just where the heck is all one-lane southern am I mean, like. I, like it, don't feel heavy, and this is what type of hair is this again. So what made you start doing up for cancer patients? Oh my auntie! She I was diagnosed with breast cancer and all the week she would trial and it was like wow.
