Wig Talk Wednesday! Sister Styles And Cap Construction In Synthetic Wigs For Every Budget!

And you know everybody needs to know the first thing i think whenever we see it yeah there we go it's only on one. Do we do okay, now we're on two. So now everyone can hear what we're saying it only took us three years to figure this out, because now it says two of two hi y'all. Well, i didn't really pay attention to it until when i was re-watching and then i was like we started talking like a good like 15 seconds before it actually picked up. The recording hi you've got so many interesting things to say: yeah we do for real. My um technical skills are improving by the day. I'Ve expanded my repertoire. You are not just technical anymore, you are like full service, i am i am. Did i tell you that i fixed my sprinkler system? I still don't believe it. But there was nobody at home like splash the thing and get that little purple stuff that the flowers put around it and then no. I spent so much time in the plumbing department. I found this little end cap and you just pop it in and you screw it and you don't need any plumber's tape. Well, lucky there. If anyone needs any work done on their sprinkler system, call 1-800 kimberly. She is raring to go and i can run the program. Did i tell you about that? Smart faucet that i saw yeah, it's only 500. So if you want to buy it for your kitchen, you can, but you can literally say hey alexa or not alexa. What'S the faucet called siri no! Well anyway, you tell the faucet hey in your kitchen yeah. You say i need two cups of water at 100 degrees and it'll. Do it for you? Well, okay, but you still have to get up and put the container that you need the two cups of hot water yeah, but who well by the time you can just run in your degree, water. What is that for? I guess, if you're, if you bake bread, you really want 100 degree water actually 101, so that would come in really handy for me because i've been there. I had to stand there with a thermometer in the faucet and it'll go from 95 to 120 and you should buy that and with your plumbing skills, now you can put it in yourself any. I don't know how we already got off on that, but we did. I don't know maxine's giving up her frozen custard to watch, but why don't you just keep go, get it bring it. I mean i listen with you. I hate when i watch tv all the time, maybe it'll melt by the time. She'S back. I think she's more disciplined than me because i just sit there. What y'all doing to me. The only complaint we've ever gotten is some people don't want the permatease. So then, that took us to well what would be like alba but doesn't have permatease and that took us down the road of. Let'S do some cysterwigs, because we haven't done that in a while, and so that's what we're doing she's all about business. Now, i'm still trying to catch her, yes cysterwigs, which we've done before, which are like straight style versus curly style. You know that kind of sister wig this is totally opposite. This is sister wig, slash cap, so um just different cap construction, so kind of the same style. Just sometimes it's a different manufacturer. Sometimes it's a different. She put it on. I mean it makes her eyes, look so blue because she always has beautiful skin, but it just kind of enhances that too so. Well, this kind of came about because i colored my own hair with a semi okay, i'm a hair stylist and have been for over. Probably, how old am i 20 something years? I left it onto my little dark hello from puerto rico. I love puerto rico. I love the food, i love the people, i've never been, but i have had puerto rican food. I had a friend that she was from puerto rico and she used to make really good beans. Oh and there was this some sort of like stuff she would make ahead of time and put it in. It was like a like had peppers in it. Oh sofrito. Yes, yes, yes, yes! So good! Now i went there with some friends and the wife of the couple that we went with um. She was from puerto rico, and so we met her family at a place where they, just all they did, was outdoor foods. It was like this park, we ain't telling you that's the best reason to travel right. There is just to try the food, yes in different cuisines, okay, i'm gon na put on what we think is a sister style to alva. Yes, so again, it's like people. What we kind of tried to focus on today was this is regular machine cap, so, okay! Well, what if someone doesn't want all the permatease? What'S a style, that's close that has maybe hand-tied top or lace front or something to give less, and the thing is anytime. We do something like this: it's not going to be exact, but it's going to be close. Doreen says you look expensive. I don't even know what that means. Yeah, it means you're, high maintenance, and that is a truth. I stop at racetrack and get iced tea, because it's a dollar eight, as opposed to 257 at starbucks. I go back one at a time. That'S not a budget. I can get a whole gallon for six dollars and something which i know would be cheaper if i just made it okay, so this is obviously a little longer than alba, but it's got the monofilament top and it's got lace front, and so this is veda by Amore ginger brown but shape wise um. Well, and it's it's shorter back here, so you i'm going to volunteer this you're going to volunteer yeah. We can um trim here right. You can trim that you trim the point off, so i did not put the company names on these, so we'll try to mention them, which didn't have room at the top. So, of course, you know, alva is by noriko and i'll end up putting this all in the description box. Fluffier is a good word, but they have more volume, whereas the alva and the veda are a little straighter and more to your forehead or closer to your forehead. I, like permatease, most of the time, so i like a little bit more height, which is why i think i love alva. So much is you can get as much or as little as you want. Dorian says she meant rich high class. I saw that that's another country song for someone who doesn't listen to country. I sure know a lot of country songs because we're in texas, okay, so hand tied flatter version, and then machine made all right all right. What'S next jazz and okay, so this is kind of a cheat. What? Because jazz by jon renau comes in a regular machine made cap, but they also make it in a mono top. So we kind of cheated on this, because this is not really a sister style. It is the same style a little on the shorter side, yeah pam 20. She says that 20, her 22.75 inch head, makes it hard for a noriko, because noriko runs so much smaller. I i'm i'm right there with you. I am actually 22.75 myself exactly. I measured like four times and yeah. It is harder. I mean if you're gon na wear it for 10 hours. It is hard, but if you just stretch it a little bit that always just does it for me or cut the bands out, which i do a lot of the times. So again, the jazz i have on has a mono top. It doesn't have lace front, but you can see it's quite a bit more calmed down at the top yeah mine's poofier. You know what's really weird what this particular cap feels so much roomier than a regular jazz. It just seems bigger, hmm linda, says she's from fort wayne indiana. She came in a year ago and met us when she's visiting her daughter. I bet i wouldn't know if i thought i bet we both would we're really good with faces and wigs, sometimes the names. Sometimes we can't remember our own name. This is true, so this is uh 8f16, and this is a color. That'S really close to marble brown and noriko. This jon renau color they make, and so i don't know anything other than jazz that they make it in make it natalie. Okay, um, but they don't make it in. I think they might make it in a net. I'M not sure very very few styles, and if that's my one complaint, i wish they made this color and a lot more styles, because it's a pretty color colleen is asking. If you can get fullness in the jazz mono, you probably could with some product i mean, but honestly, if you want that because it doesn't have the lace front. But if you want the volume then i probably just would get that average cap jazz does not come in the california blondes or the chocolate collection right. So all right, a jazz, regular cap jazz, is also part of the jon renau, oh so light collection. So it weighs less than two ounces: it's not a whole lot of hair, oh gosh, that does feel roomy yeah and so for people that just want something super super lightweight for summer, the average cap or the regular cap jazz is great and jazz comes in petite. As well, it does not come in large cap, but it's super cute whispy in the back. Yes, jazz, also kind of reminds me of voltage if you wear raquel um, but it does have a little bit more poof up here than voltage. Sometimes voltage tends to kind of gravity kind of pulls it down, colleen a style that would be like jazz with a lace front which would be the voltage elite voltage lead is fully hand tight. It'S got lace and mono, so you may want to check that out. Yeah or that which we talked about showing that today, but we didn't um they're flirting with fashion. Oh, it was a little bit longer up here, but it has the lace flirting with fashion, sometimes um. Oh susan hi susan, was here yesterday. I'M glad kayla loves her wig, sometimes flirting with fashion is really just so directly it's coming down that way, so i mean i've seen it look just totally adorable and i've seen it look like uh. You know it's. Okay, that's the same way with every wig. I guess it just depends on the person all right. So what's next, okay, i'm going to put allison by john renault and i'm doing jamison by estetica. Oh, i missed you got a good color. This is a pretty color, it's very vibrant, which we kind of went off the rails on this one too, because technically uh, the jamison has a mono part, but it does seem like a lot more hair, usually for some reason. Well and allison is so sleek and so compressed that if you want that style, but you don't want it to look like a lot of hair, this one does not. Let me get my bang fixed here. Of course, you've seen the liner, but this and if you wanted alison - and you wanted a color closer to that, then the chocolate cherry - oh shoot. You know the numbers on that uh - is that the 4330 or the 2v31v 2v31v yeah. Yes, if it's it's fs2v, then you could get allison in the color closer to um what misti has on, but that's called vogue. Bogu bogu, you know, but a lot of people want this style, but the allison is a little bit more pricey. So they'll we're just trying to show you price, conscious versus a splurge right and again it comes down to volume. How much volume would you want ooh, the boss is out of the office she's watching where, at the tom thumb pharmacy? No, wherever nicole works, you know what tom from pharmacy. You don't hear you, the boss, could be in the conference room watching wake talk, wednesday, never know ooh. This cap is roomy this one's, not as roomy okay. Somebody says they want to try um lace front, but she has to be forehead. That'S better if you have a higher forehead, it's better for lace front than if you have a shorter forehead, because you're able to kind of play around with your where you want the hairline to be. I have a short one and some wigs once i pull them down to where they need to go. They just cover up my forehead. This color is way better on you. I love that color, that's pretty alicia. She says permatease makes her scalp itch. You know. I i'm not a big fan at all of liners under wigs unless you absolutely have to have one they make some that are bamboo they're, going to slip around a lot. If you try to use the liners like what we're using they're hot they're uncomfortable and they slide around, so we do it for hygienic purposes. If you come in the store you have to put one on in order to try wigs on, but i'd be surprised that it's the permatease that makes your head itch. I mean unless it's just because it's maybe a little thicker and hotter um, but it should actually it's probably more of a natural fabric than maybe the mono top would be yeah. But everybody's different and everybody's sensitivity levels are different right and so there's no right or wrong. It'S right! You need to be comfortable when you wear them all right. Let'S do something short: let's do it and again i'll put the company names corresponding to the styles in the description once we get done, yeah colleen wears a bamboo liner and they're, not too tight, and it does seem to lessen the edge but colleen, i'm sure you're Wearing a wig grip to kind of hold that on i'm guessing all right, oh and pam says if she wears her wig grip, it stops the movement of the wig, and so the itching stops that's the way i am with my lace front i mean, if i Have one lace front and it's a jon or no and every time i wear it. It just itches me so much right here, but i figured out it's the friction and it's. I guess, because i moved my forehead a lot. My other ones don't do it, which is another reason. I'M really curious about the lace front, support tape that we got the blue front minis and then the roll, because i want to try that i haven't done it yet that is on the website because i usually use it stays. But jon renau colleen says that her buzz she doesn't use a wig grip, but her buzz keeps it like velcro all right. So this is eva by noriko and this cap is small. This is a net, so the eva is a little bit longer here, but i think if you trimmed it here, basically it's got places. I mean it's got some side pieces that come down longer. It'S got a nice short neckline, eva is machine made. Did i say noriko, i don't know this is noriko sugarcane eva's been a style by noriko for a long long time, but it is one of their styles that they do make in the rooted colors. So it's at least got uh, updated colors that it comes in. So that's good and then of course it's jon renau, and that did you say it's lace, front and full mono. I don't think i did. Okay, it's lace, frontal. So the longest day of the year was what sunday father's day. I think so these things kind of have colds at issue. You got a little easily fixable. If you have the hot airbrush, um pam, the they call it blue the pieces that hold it together. The tape is clear: the tape is clear and it's dull. It'S not shiny, but the pieces that they stick it to are little blue pieces of paper. So the tape's, not blue, yeah they're, just called blue front minis and it's not by jon renau, but that's how we got introduced to them, um and so they're supposed to just it's called a lace front support system, and so it's supposed to be indistinguishable under the Lace colleen's wanting to know what the sorry the nape looks like on a net yeah, i got colleen, i knew what you were talking about. This is not working. Eva is usually really pretty yeah, which this would be. It just needs a little help with mine. It'S just this room which can happen. It'S like you ever showed you on live once what to do about cold set issue um with the um hot air brush. Did you ever use dippity doo? No, i thought that was from. Do you even know what it is? Isn'T that for men, no oh misty, you're too young, i thought deputy d was like for men to put on there like no deputy. Do is what it's like, a gel that you put on when you were going to roll someone's hair like put them under the dryer. We had that, but it wasn't called deputy do when i was in school. It was just called a jail well, liquid gels. They just updated the name because deputy do was deputy, do all right: let's go the next one. There you go ma'am that just tells you how old i am well. It tells you that when i was a little girl, my mom played with my hair and put rollers in and put dippity do all over one of the first things that we learned. How to do is a roller set when i was in school and you put that gel on heavy and use those velcro rollers, which i never understood about. Excuse me magnetic rollers, which i never understood, why they call them magnetic, because they're just plastic, beth um brenda says you can still get deputy do on amazon, beth franklin, hi, beth, franklin all right. No, i mean that's back when they stunk all right. You couldn't shampoo it for three days well and how i mean, which i never understood that so i'm about slowing off a cuticle. I don't know it never made sense and then something about you know how do you get a little girl to sit there? I ain't crazy. Oh yeah, pam mom skip perms on the kitchen table and then you got to put a towel on your face and lean over that. If you're real little you get to lay on the camera right, you lay on the counter like you're in the shampoo bowl. Oh the fun we have and we didn't have a spray nozzle. When i was little so um, we ended up getting one later, but my mom had this thing that you like put on the faucet and made its own little sprayer. I think my mom used a cup like, and you remember when i remember we got our first dishwasher. It wasn't built in it rolled across the floor and you hooked it up to the faucet. Okay, tatiana beautiful name. First of all wants to know. If we can compare one of the very sleek styles like nolan with something else, well, okay, a we don't carry ellen villa b. We don't have anything, there's nothing even close to a nolan as far as how that's like our ironing board straight and then the ends at the bottom are all blunt. I don't yeah it's kind of razory. I like this haley a lot. I like tasha, i've always been a fan of tasha and for it to not have a lace front or a mono top. It usually just hangs so pretty and it doesn't it's not. It comes out from the forehead a little bit and the um tasha in minx is beautiful. Oh yes, it is for sure a couple more. She remembers the brush smacking. Okay. Yes, the the the thing you have to remember are: these are styles, that they don't make. It'S either a style that they tried a color that they tried. A combination or something i tried that they chose not to add to their line, which is crazy on some of these, because i love them well and one of them. I think i know what it is and i think they just chose to not make that color in that wig, but it's a current wig, it's beautiful and the color is pretty. They just didn't make it. So no every time we looked at them, we're like. Oh, i might want that for myself, but we're not going to keep them, but it's they're amazing. I think this is so exciting. It is.
