Hey guys, so I am here to talk to you guys today about how to work out with your hair, your short hair. All of that I've been getting this requests forever. I'Ve got an email, Facebook messages Instagram. All of that I heard you, so I am here to talk about how to work out with your hair short hair in particular, but my long hair friends out there, you guys can use these tips as well on how to do so. Um first one thing I'll stay with me. In particular, I I tried to work out three days a week. Four days a week, I tried I'm getting better as the week's go by coz. I have a goal in mind um. So with that I plan. Let'S say my work schedule, or am I going out scheduled around the time that I work out so like I have a couple of high school asked like how do you, I guess, find the balance. One thing that you do that I suggest that you do is to like, let's say if you get your hair done on the weekend, try not to, I guess, work out, work out and so like Tuesday or you know something like that. So like, let's say, if you get your hair done on Saturday, you have Saturday Sunday Monday and Tuesday, and then you can do like Tuesday through Thursday to like work out and then you might go again on Friday or Saturday to get your hair done again or You might do it yourself so, like you might have like, let's say three not-so-great days. You know your hair might not look as nice as let's say you just got it done so, but in the meantime there are ways, of course, that you can maintain it and that's what I'll show you first. This is what I do. This is the one thing that I use in particular to keep my hair in place while working out. This is the only thing I use the other ones. That'S other things that you can use with. This is my hop hop hop pick um. This is called. This is called the dry, sweat band and looks like this. It'S a kind of silky material, but you know it's kind of like polyester rayon, but it's a nice soft silky material. I got this from Walmart. I am one day I was just like. Ok, I need something to help me work out and I was in the ethnic section, and I saw this and I saw a it - was like a girl on the front and she was running, show her hair long hair in a ponytail, and she had it like. Wrapped around her edges, that was like. Okay, that's different, you know, I'm sorry, okay, I think it can work for you know. I know it works for long hair, but I think you can work for short hair. So I got this and what I do is I put it on and when I put it on it goes like from here. So it goes on like a sweatband, but it covers white. Probably that much is left out and it holds what needs to be held in place. Basically, I need my size to stay down. I need this midsection right here to stay down because I wave up - and I sweat like really bad in my head, so I need those things to stay down. So that's what works for me and the front is whatever butt is the size in the back? The bottom doesn't really kick up as much. So that's why I'm not really concerned about it going all the way down there, but that's what it works. Um. One thing that I do is, I make sure and cool my body down completely before I even take this off, because I sweat, so I make sure that my hair is like dry or partially dry before I even take it off. So when I'm finished working out I'll, let walk around cool down will probably like prepare. You know my lunch or whatever you know before. I actually take this off so yeah. This is what I use another thing that people use is, of course, they'll use their. You know their head scarf. This is like a really huge head scarf that I got from Walmart as well. I'Ve used this before it's a nice silky material, and you know you can tie it well first fold: it you fold it up and then you can fold it to like a rectangle like this and then tie it like that as well. I don't use this one as much, because it's a little thick for me and I feel like it, makes me sweat more, but some people they might want this thicker material because they may need it and they might have more hair to hold their own or whatnot. So yeah, so this is another thing and then the last one is the standard thing that sound like a lot of women use this. I got this as like a sample. It'S organic root, stimulator Oris, they're, a new name. It'S the fan of Anthony that has the velcro and stuff like that, and you know you take it and you put the snatch it. My head is really big, so I have to pull it um but yeah. You take that and you use that. I don't really like this one as much personally, because it's really safe and wide meaning um and the way my hair is cut. I really don't want anything to touch up here, so you know that's just my preference, but if these are the three things that people use - or I suggest for you to use, people also use like cotton, headbands and different things like that. But I particularly don't like the cotton headband because it dries your hair up, so it's like you're, sweating, you're, swaying and yes, it's grabbing the moisture of you know your sweat, but it's also to me drying your hair out. So I personally don't use it. I know some people that do it's fun with you, but I don't use it. I would prefer some type of silky satin material on anything that I used to while I'm working out so yeah. Those are the things after maintenance, like I said, wait until your hair is close to dry as possible before you do anything to it. You know because you'll mess it up. I have a video on how to tame their sideburns, like after you and you're. Getting ready and you've got to fix your hair after you work out in the shower, and all of that refer to that video, because I show you how you can you know take this. Take the foam - and you know, put your sideburns down and all those different kind of things, and those are things that I do after I work out and all that but yeah. I hope this video helps you guys a whole lot yeah and let's get to working out in 2014. I'M excited, let me know if these tips have helped you and love you guys.

Cam De'Shae: Thanks for these tips ! I've been wanting to cut my hair for so long but been scared that I won't be able to workout & maintain short hair because I sweat in my head really bad ! But now I'm definitely gonna do it

Kandace Carter: Bless you for making this video. When I first started working out, I would try to workout and let my hair air dry (even though I don't sweat too much), but then my edges started breaking off. So, then I started rinsing it and molding it. My edges grew back 6 months later. I do use the tip about working out 4 days a week so I can have decent hair 3 days. What conditioner would you recommend for my after workout cowashing?9

mssmmns: My sides and back have to be touched up (halo) every 3-4 weeks, while the top and front are relaxed every 7-8 weeks. What suggestions do you have for short relaxed hair that is reeeeally close to needing a touch-up?

Veronica Smith: Great video! I prefer the first one too. Silk doesn't breathe which is why you sweat more and also why it's keep your hair from drying out at night...cotton does the opposite and absorbs all the oil from your hair.

Tron Frazier: I just got my short cut....Great tips!!!

UsaTeam12: The dri sweat band is the TRUTH! Thank you so much for the helpful tips!

lip lipwash: Thanks so much for this video! You rock!

TheMakeUpGirl09: I have to dri sweat headband And love it. It's the only thing that works for me.
