Hey what's up everybody and welcome back to my channel or welcome to my channel if you are new, my name is kendall, and today we are not going to be talking about makeup. We are going to be talking about hair straighteners. Now there is a video on my channel. It is me comparing two hair crimpers and that video is, for whatever reason, the top performing video on my channel um, which i get people like to see how similar things work um. So you can see where you can get more bang for your buck. What will work best for you and all that good stuff? So i thought it would be fun if i did another comparison of hair tools and today i'm going to be comparing the dry bar hair straightener with the dry bar straightening paddle brush. I actually was looking for a video like this a few years ago when i purchased these products, and i couldn't find one so um. Hopefully this helps someone else out. Uh, i'm sure, there's videos out there now ended up purchasing both i purchased the hair straightener first, because i was in desperate need for a hair straightener and then this i was kind of on the fence with getting, and i actually got this one in like a Gift box, like a holiday collection, bundle that came with like i believe it be. It came with the blow dryer and like a bunch of other different things, so i ended up getting the set that came with this, and so i've never really compared the two i've. Just kind of used them interchangeably definitely have used the hair straightener way way way more than i've used the paddle brush. I'Ve probably only used this one time, so i couldn't really tell you my opinion on it. So today what i am going to do is i parted my hair, as as the middle as i could get it, and i am going to be doing this side of my hair, my right side with the straightener and then i'm going to be doing uh. My left side of my hair with the straightening paddle brush and we're going to compare, let's see what you might think, works for you if you're thinking of picking up one of these items or both, hopefully this video will help you decide. So this isn't going to be super long or anything we're just going to get right into it all right. So i went ahead and i prepped my hair. I brushed it out to get rid of any tangles and i went ahead and sprayed the hot toddy heat protectant spray onto my hair. Please please, please do not use any sort of heat on your hair without putting some sort of heat protectant spray on it. That is so bad for your hair. It'S still, i mean even putting spray on it. I'M sure it's still really bad for my hair, but at least it's some sort of barrier. So i'm just going to go ahead and straighten this side of my hair. I'M just going to zoom past it. We all know how this works. I'M going to put the price of this hair straightener up on the screen and yeah. Here we go real quick just start. I just remember: i forgot something uh just for my hair type. I have, as you can tell pretty long and it's incredibly thick hair. So if you have a similar hair type as me, that's something to keep in and i'm going to be quiet, okay, so that is the right side of my hair straightened with the hair straightener um for both of these items. There is a little button right here that you can change the temperature. I currently have it on 350, but you can go higher or lower, obviously, for whatever suits you, okay and so yeah. That is the side with the hair, straightener um. So real quick, i'm going to plug in the heated paddle brush and i'll cut back whenever it's heated up and ready to go okay, so this is heated up and ready to go. I'M keeping this one on 350 degrees as well. The same thing that we did over here, um, i will say both of these hardly take any time at all to heat up, i would say less than a minute. This took to heat up, so that's definitely a plus for both of these items. So i'm just going to go ahead and use this brush to straighten the side, my hair and we'll compare and see how you to is okay, so i just finished straightening this side of my hair with the towel brush um i mean they both did a good Job, i will say i don't know if you can tell on camera, but my hair um has these little like indentions right here and this side. It completely straightened it and then this you can still kind of see that little like wave or kink that my hair, just naturally has it didn't get rid of that. But i will say this did really smooth out my hair and it really got rid of any. I mean y'all saw how frizzy my hair was um. It definitely got rid of all the frizz and like just like big poofiness that i had over here, but it didn't straighten it as well as the actual hair straightener. I do think that the paddle brush would be a really good investment if you have like short, hair or thin hair. I think i actually might um let my mom try this out. She has short hair um and i want to see how she likes it, because i think if your hair like, if my hair was shorter, this would be like such an easy, quick way to just you know, smooth it out because yeah, because you can kind of Tell down here like this, there's no kinks in it and over here you can still kind of see them which isn't like a huge deal, but if you're looking for that, stick straight, you know hairstyle, then i would definitely go with the hair straightener. So with that being said, i think, if you're in between these two products, i would definitely go with the hair straightener just because i just feel like it gets the job done better. This one does smooth it out and i mean they're both good products, but if you're wanting a hair, straightener get the hair straightener everyone's, probably watching this going like yeah um so yeah. This is just what it looks like straight hair. I know inventive. No one's ever seen it before i'm so original doing this video um, but yeah. So again, those are both by the dry bar the heat protectant that i use by the dry bar. I love their brand. I love that company. They are cruelty, free, which is amazing, um, so definitely recommend all their products. Everything that i've tried from them. I really really like um and again, i'm gon na have the prices for both of these listed below and i'll throw them up on the screen. At some point in this video, so yeah, so real, quick, i'm noticing, first of all, it's like super humid in my room right now, it's super hot and then with both of these going at the same time, it's like making me even more hot, and then i Have the ring light on me and that's just like i'm sweating, you guys um, so my hair is starting to like kink a little bit with the humidity and i don't like. Maybe it's just all in my head. I don't know if you can tell, but this side is definitely starting to kink, oh yeah, for sure this side is starting to kink up more and this side's still kind of hanging in here um. So i that is a problem that i have with my hair. It doesn't hold its uh straightness very well if it's curled, it's fine, but when it's straight the little bit of like heat that i feel it's like. So the side that was done with the paddle brush is definitely starting to kind of kink up a little bit. But yeah, i would definitely recommend the straightener in this situation. Again, you guys are probably like duh like we know that, but this was kind of a video that i wish that i had when i was kind of debating between these products, and i couldn't find one. So i'm just making this in case there are any people out there that were in the same boat as me. So i hoped you liked this super short video not much to it, but hopefully got some information out of it, and i could help someone out there. If you were in the middle of uh debating, if you needed any of these products, all right, that is it i'm going to have another video up for you very very soon, and i will see you guys next time: okay, bye, huh,

KEy-mi-CO: Actually the flatiron side looks more dry and dead whereas the brush straighten side has more of a shine and looks feathered like. IMO!

Keni Marie: So excited to see this comparison. With someone who has long poofy hair I am always looking for a new flat iron.

Ellie H: This was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!!

V M: Thx for the video it was helpful

jihzell: Is this the original tress press or the 1.25 in tress press?
